The Nyechistyy observed the Warden like a hawk, the memories of his two lives merging into one seamless continuum as his new life became the basis of his identity.

He was the Nyechistyy, and the Nyechistyy was him.

The Warden struggled against the hand tightening around his ankle. He was being pulled towards the gaping hole in the wall against his will.Full novel: Transmigrated As A Half-Demon, I Have A Glitchy Gamer System — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

’I need him to let his guard down.’ The Nyechistyy glared at the Warden with hatred.

The Warden stopped bashing the hand gripping his ankle and bent low to pry it open with his nails and fingers.

’Not yet.’

He was granted his wish then.

The intruder suddenly pulled the Warden’s feet with a sharp jerk, applying as much weight as possible to flip the Warden on his back.

The Warden managed to keep standing, but he repositioned himself, his back now facing the Nyechistyy.

’Now!’ the Nyechistyy screamed in his mind.

Nothing could stop him from his goal after that.

In a mad dog’s dash, he dove out of his prison cell.

He grit his teeth and silently pushed his body to its limits as he sprinted through the corpses strewn about, straight towards the Warden and managed to reach him before he turned around.

Using the broken wall on the floor, he jumped into the air and landed a dropkick straight into the Warden’s back, knocking both the air out of his lungs and him out of the hole in the wall.

"Wha-" The Warden barely turned around as he fell forwards, his arms swinging for balance before he saw it, the absolutely cathartic glare that the Nyechistyy gave him.

"YOU FILTHY NYECHISTYY!!!!!" The Warden shouted as he fell or rather was dragged away by the intruder, freeing the Nyechistyy totally.

The Nyechistyy quickly turned around without peeking out of the hole in the wall to see if the Warden had survived the fall or not.

He simply picked up the ring of keys that he had knocked off the Warden as he fell and began walking towards the only exit of the block.

"Nyechistyy!!! Open our cells first, you filthy horned bastard!!!!"

Several human hands tried grabbing the Nyechistyy from their prison cells but he quickly dodged them all with his malnourished frame and walked ahead.

Only he paused for a second and turned to look back at the man’s cell opposite to his.

The man had his hands out of the prison bars too and he felt a sudden chill creep up his spine before he swiftly tried to retract his arms back into the prison cell.

However the Nyechistyy wasn’t going to forgive the man who’d spit and piss into his cell every day and night for the last seven years after his mother left him forever.

CRACK! CRACK!

He jumped onto the man’s arms and snapped them clean off their joints. Making the man more suitable to become a fixture in the cell’s furniture.

He then turned around and walked back to the exit door, stepping in between corpses, smiling as he heard the man scream in pain and everyone else fall silent.

The Nyechistyy however didn’t open the door immediately, he leaned onto it and pressed his ear against it with remarkable focus.

Sounds of the battle outside echoed through the thick doors and fear filled sounds of the prisoners echoed behind him, but there was still-

’Nothing’s immediately on the other side...’

’It seems the guards have already abandoned their posts to run away from the human attack.’

’Inglorious bastards...’

’Well good for me.’

Reaching for the keys, the Nyechistyy picked the one key he recognised that opened the exit door after living behind it for seventeen years.

He unlocked the door with a satisfying click amidst the screams of all the other prisoners who became lively at the sight of freedom just beyond their grasp.

A dimly lit stairwell immediately greeted him as the Nyechistyy quickly began his descent downwards to abandon this place for good.

’There’s chaos everywhere.’

’Now’s a good time to escape...’

’But where do I go?’

The Nyechistyy didn’t pause his feet carrying him down the stairwell.

Suddenly a blue window showed up in front of the Nyechistyy’s eyes.

[Recognise Mana.]

’What?’

’My system?’

’What is this? A mission?’

’Is my system stuck loading because I don’t have access to mana?’

’Why!?’

However, his thoughts were forcibly interrupted after he heard someone rushing upstairs.

He quickly opened the door to the prison block on the immediate floor, pushing the corpses behind it while opening the door, and hid behind it until the sounds passed.

This prison block was slightly less gruesome than the one he was used to.

’Sounds like three people... they’re going up?’ The Nyechistyy placed his ear on the door once again.

’Why?’

With his ear on the door the Nyechistyy paid full attention to the people outside.

"Get him! Make sure that filthy half breed is tortured to death! By the Seven, we’ll take the reward on his head!" one of the people climbing to the top spoke up.

""Yaaaaahhhh-!!!!!!!"" while the other two cheered.

Except, their cheering suddenly stopped mid way-

Suddenly the Nyechistyy stopped hearing footsteps as they came to a stop one staircase above his floor.

"HE’S IN THERE!" One of the three shouted out loud.

’They noticed me? How? Where did my plot armour go!?’ the Nyechistyy exclaimed, surprised.

The Nyechistyy immediately locked the door once again.

Then he looked to his left and right and found the only option he could take to escape this shithole.

’This is going to hurt.’

He ignored the surprised shouts of the humans inside the prison cells.

They had only just realised there was a Nyechistyy inside their block and dashed through the corpses strewn about towards the only glass window in the prison block.

Bracing for impact with his hands crossed in front of his turtled head and chest, the Nyechistyy jumped right through the glass window just as he heard someone blow the door open behind him!

BOOM!

SHATTER!!

The Nyechistyy looked down and immediately regretted it.

He was three stories up. And now he was in a freefall three stories down.

The Nyechistyy gritted his teeth and wanted to roll on impact to absorb all the force safely.

CRACK!

But time passed too quickly. Before he even completed his thoughts, he was already plastered against the ground as he heard a sick crack from his right leg.

From the floor the Nyechistyy first saw the free sky in all its afternoon glory and breathed his first breath of fresh air of freedom that was still on its tippy toes.

’However the prison was, it seems the pure sky can still not be tainted by the demons.’

He then spotted the three humans peeking out of the window, tainting his view.

The Nyechistyy’s instincts flared and he quickly rolled away from his spot.

The shattered glass on the ground pierced his back and arms as he rolled but he cared not and quickly jumped to his feet and limped away.

A hot flaming fist sized fireball rushed right towards where his head had been and crashed into the ground, sending tongues of fire licking the surroundings.

"Damn it! It missed!" One of the three exclaimed as the Nyechistyy ducked into the cover of the prison building, hiding under the awning of one of the entrances.
