The two of them boarded the cruise ship and found a discreet corner to sit down.

Ning Yao looked around.

On the left was a group of Su Yan’s playboy friends.Full novel: Transmigrated as the Vicious Wife of A Top Conglomerate — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

On the right was a group of Wen Rou’s close girlfriends.

As for the main characters, neither had arrived yet.

“Do you think Wen Rou will accept Su Yan?” Ning Yao asked quietly. “Don’t be fooled by the fact that he’s from the Su family—he’s just an illegitimate son with no real power. Wen Rou is so materialistic; she’ll probably reject him.”

Wen Xiamoon took a sip of champagne.

She wasn’t sure how things would unfold either.

In the original novel, Wen Rou and Su Yan did end up together.

Although Su Yan was only an illegitimate son in the Su family, he later rose step by step using the resources Wen Xiamoon had provided him.

Eventually, the old master of the Su family handed over more than half of the family business to him.

By then, Su Yan controlled both the inheritance of the Qi family and most of the Su family’s assets—he was at the peak of power.

Wen Rou climbed into his bed at that time.

But now, Su Yan’s status in high society was nothing impressive. Whether Wen Rou would still choose him was uncertain.

Just then, a commotion came from the ship entrance.

Wen Xiamoon and Ning Yao both looked up.

A group of people surrounded a woman in a wheelchair as she was brought in.

It was Wen Rou.

Wen Xiamoon narrowed her eyes.

So the rumors were true—Wen Rou really had broken her leg. Whether she could recover and stand again was unknown. If she could, it would be a shame… why hadn’t she been killed by the fall instead?

Perhaps because she had entered this world as the “villainess,” Wen Xiamoon naturally disliked Wen Rou.

“What a pity she didn’t die from that fall,” Ning Yao said coldly.

Wen Xiamoon smiled.

No wonder they were friends—their thoughts were exactly the same.

Over on the other side, Wen Rou was pushed onto the deck.

She wore a white long dress, her hair loose over her shoulders, makeup delicate and soft—looking fragile and pitiful.

Her friends surrounded her, showing concern.

“Rou Rou, how’s your leg?”

“What did the doctor say? Can you still stand?”

Wen Rou smiled gently. “The doctor said I’ll recover if I rest properly.”

“That’s good! Even though you’re in a wheelchair today for Su Shao’s confession, it’s so touching!”

Wen Rou’s cheeks flushed. “Brother Su Yan treats me so well… how could I not come?”

Ning Yao looked over and rolled her eyes.

“Look at her acting. Disgusting. ‘Brother Su Yan~’ Ugh. I’m about to throw up.”

Wen Xiamoon: “Isn’t that a bit exaggerated?”

Ning Yao said seriously, “Exaggerated? Hearing her talk like that gives me goosebumps.”

Wen Xiamoon smiled faintly. “You don’t get it. That’s called acting cute.”

She could do it too.

But only for her husband.

Ning Yao shivered. “I’ll pass on learning that.”

Their conversation wasn’t loud, but Wen Xiamoon’s striking red dress was too eye-catching. Soon, people noticed them.

“Wen Xiamoon! Ning Yao… why are you here?”

The speaker was Zhou Keke.

Wen Rou’s number-one follower, who usually teamed up with her to mock Wen Xiamoon.

On a day like this, Wen Xiamoon’s presence seemed out of place.

Was she here to ruin Su Yan and Wen Rou’s moment?

Zhou Keke immediately became alert.

“What, are you here to ruin Su Shao and Rou Rou’s confession? Wen Xiamoon, have some shame! Su Shao doesn’t like you at all—have some self-awareness!”

Her voice was sharp and loud, deliberately attracting attention.

All eyes turned toward Wen Xiamoon and Ning Yao.

Wen Rou wheeled herself over.

Her eyes were slightly red, looking wronged.

“Keke! Don’t say that about Xiamoon. She just… really likes Brother Yan. When you like someone, it’s not easy to let go.”

Though it sounded like she was defending Wen Xiamoon, she was actually reinforcing the idea that Wen Xiamoon was the troublemaker between her and Su Yan.

The crowd’s gaze toward Wen Xiamoon grew even colder.

“Rou Rou, don’t defend her. She already caused your injury.”

“If it weren’t for her, your legs wouldn’t be like this.”

Gasps filled the air.

“Wen Rou’s injury is related to Wen Xiamoon?”

“I heard she pushed her!”

“Oh my god, how vicious. Wen Rou is her sister!”

Wen Xiamoon remained calm, meeting Wen Rou’s gaze directly.

The latter said nothing, letting others smear Wen Xiamoon’s reputation.

It seemed she believed Wen Xiamoon had no way to defend herself.

Too bad.

The current Wen Xiamoon wasn’t the original owner.

She wouldn’t let herself be framed so easily.

“Wen Rou, don’t you have anything to explain?” she asked calmly.

Wen Rou looked innocent. “Sister, explain what? I didn’t say anything.”

Zhou Keke immediately stepped in front of her.

“Wen Xiamoon, what exactly do you want before you stop bullying Wen Rou?”

Ning Yao frowned. “Which eye of yours saw her bullying her?”

Zhou Keke snapped back, “Then why are you here? Everyone knows Su Shao is confessing to Wen Rou today. You being here—what good intentions could you possibly have?”

Ning Yao sneered. “An illegitimate son like Su Yan? What’s there to steal? Only you treat him like a treasure.”

Su Yan being an illegitimate son was an open secret in their circle. People rarely said it out loud, though everyone looked down on him privately.

But just then—

Su Yan walked out of the cabin.

He had heard everything.

The atmosphere instantly turned silent.

Everyone looked at him.

His face was dark, eyes cold and terrifying.

Ning Yao shrank back slightly behind Wen Xiamoon, suddenly nervous.

Su Yan’s gaze shifted past Ning Yao and landed on Wen Xiamoon.

Just one glance.

He froze slightly.

A flash of surprise—and admiration—crossed his eyes.

She… had become so beautiful?

The Wen Xiamoon in front of him was completely different from the one in his memory.

The old Wen Xiamoon used to imitate Wen Rou’s style, which he had always found laughable.

But now, she stood in a red dress—radiant, striking, effortlessly stealing all attention in the room.

No one else could compare.

Wen Rou noticed Su Yan staring at Wen Xiamoon.

A sense of unease rose in her heart.
