She hadn’t even bothered to look carefully at what the place looked like. The biggest possibility was that it really was some kind of dimensional space.

“What do you mean ‘probably a space’? Hurry up and go back in to see what it’s like, then come tell me!”

“Holy crap, a cheat ability! I can’t believe the stuff in novels is real! Hahahaha! Girl, we seriously hit the jackpot!”Full novel: Transmigrated in the 1970s: Snatching the Male Lead’s Opportunities Is So Satisfying — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“What if it’s an immortal mansion? Wouldn’t your illness get cured instantly then?”

“Hurry up and tell me—what triggered the bead’s transformation? I’m gonna try my bracelet too!”

As she spoke, Zhao Qingye rushed toward her room.

When she showered earlier, she’d taken off the bracelet and forgotten to put it back on.

Shi Meiqing twitched at the corners of her mouth.

One miracle was already outrageous enough, alright? Yet this girl was hoping everyone got one?

Still, she didn’t stop her.

There was no stopping her anyway.

Back when the two of them became obsessed with web novels, Little Curly Hair had fantasized daily about systems dropping from the sky or suddenly awakening cheat powers. She probably even talked about them in her sleep.

Of course, Shi Meiqing herself had once been just as obsessed.

Later, though, she’d concluded it was all nonsense—pure fiction.

And yet today, her materialist worldview had completely shattered.

Turns out there really were things science couldn’t explain.

Zhao Qingye came running back out with hurried footsteps.

“Quick! Have you figured it out yet? How’d you activate it? Was there some kind of spell? Or blood recognition?”

“Wait… when you were cutting fruit earlier, did you accidentally cut yourself and drip blood onto the bracelet?”

“No, no, using a knife hurts too much. I’ll find a needle and prick myself instead.”

Shi Meiqing leaned back against the sofa, watching Zhao Qingye run around like a headless chicken.

Stopping her was impossible.

If Zhao Qingye didn’t vent all this excitement tonight, she probably wouldn’t sleep at all.

Who knew how much time passed before Zhao Qingye finally hissed in pain and put down the bracelet, puffing her cheeks while blowing hard on her injured finger.

“Ow, ow, ow, that hurts.”

“You deserve it. I told you not to try.”Shi Meiqing shrugged. “If you really want it, you can have mine.”

A dying person like her didn’t really need it anyway.

“Don’t say nonsense. That’s your opportunity—how could I take it?” Zhao Qingye immediately refused. “Now hurry up and go back inside to look around. Then come out and tell me what it’s like.”

“Oh right, bring your phone! You can take pictures and show me.”

“Ahhh! If only you could bring me inside too. A space! Do you realize how awesome that is? I really want to see it myself!”

“Girl, why don’t you try bringing me in with you?”

Shi Meiqing rolled her eyes mercilessly.

“What nonsense are you thinking about? We don’t even know whether living creatures besides me can enter. What if you go in and instantly die?”

According to every web novel ever written, she could enter because the space had bonded to her.

But other living creatures might not be able to.

And there really were stories where anything else entering a space instantly died.

She absolutely didn’t dare experiment recklessly.

Zhao Qingye smacked her lips regretfully.

“What a shame. Then you’ll just have to record it for me. Hurry up already, I’m dying from curiosity.”

Just then, the doorbell rang.

Zhao Qingye instantly stood up.

“That should be the person delivering the RV keys. Wait here. Once nobody else is around, you can continue testing. We absolutely can’t let anyone discover this.”

As she spoke, Zhao Qingye hurried to open the door and went to wait by the elevator entrance.

She had no intention whatsoever of inviting the delivery person inside.

Meanwhile, Shi Meiqing picked up her phone and began searching online.

She planned to buy some kind of small living creature first, just to test whether the so-called space could actually bring other living beings inside.

At the same time, she took the chilled fruit salad out of the refrigerator.

The two of them could eat while talking.

Even though they’d eaten a lot at lunch, they’d also walked around all afternoon, and now their stomachs were feeling a little empty again.

With a beep, the apartment door closed.

Zhao Qingye placed the RV keys onto the shoe cabinet by the entrance and practically sprinted back to Shi Meiqing’s side.

“Quick, quick! And don’t forget your phone. We can also test whether time flows differently inside compared to outside.”

Shi Meiqing nodded.

She was curious too.

Earlier, she’d been so focused on returning quickly so Little Curly Hair wouldn’t worry that she hadn’t paid attention to the environment at all.

More than anything, though, everything still felt unreal to her.

Sure, the two of them constantly joked about wanting cheat powers from novels.

But deep down, they’d both known such things couldn’t possibly exist.

And now suddenly she had actually obtained one.

Not only that—it was supposedly one of the most overpowered kinds: a dimensional space.

And she’d gotten it from a bracelet that cost only two or three hundred yuan.

Seriously.

Who in their right mind would believe something like that?

“Alright. Then you keep track of time outside while I go in and look around.”

Shi Meiqing nodded and silently thought:

Enter.

Truthfully, she had absolutely no confidence that she could really enter that place again.

But the moment she formed the thought—

Zhao Qingye watched with her own eyes as Shi Meiqing vanished from beside her.

Just like that.

Her mouth fell wide open.

Honestly, she felt like even if she watched this happen a hundred times, it would still seem miraculous.

Shi Meiqing only felt her vision blur briefly.

The next second, she appeared in another space entirely.

It looked nothing like her warm apartment.

It was completely empty.

Everywhere she looked—emptiness.

She frowned slightly.

Honestly, the place was a little disappointing.

But then again…

This was still a dimensional space.

A space people could physically enter.

This wasn’t the kind of thing money or power alone could buy.

She raised her phone and switched on the camera.

Though she had no idea whether anything recorded inside would still work once she returned outside.

Less than five minutes later, Shi Meiqing suddenly reappeared in the living room.

Zhao Qingye immediately pounced over again.

“Why’d you come back so fast? What’s it like inside? Is it not very big? Is there a spiritual spring?”

“You know—the kind where drinking one sip cures all diseases! If there is one, don’t drink it immediately. We should test it on small animals first to make sure it’s safe.”

“Oh! Oh! If it’s one of those cultivation-world spaces, even better! Are there immortal medicines? Like one pill and you’re completely cured?”

“Even a sci-fi space would be fine! Aren’t there things like genetic enhancement serums in those?”

“I don’t care where the space came from—as long as it can cure your illness, then it’s a good space.”

“You don’t have to worry. Do you know what we have the least shortage of?”

“Money.”

“As long as money can buy something to heal you, we’ll spend however much it takes.”

“I’m calling an agent later and selling all my storefront properties.”
