Early in the morning, Old Master Su and Old Madam Su were whispering to each other in their room.

As they counted the copper coins in a small box, they began planning to hold a grand first-birthday celebration for their little granddaughter.

Ever since she came into their lives, she had brought them nothing but good fortune.Full novel: Transmigrated Into A Farmer’s Little Lucky Baby With Billions In Resources — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

During this famine year, most families struggled just to survive on coarse grains and wild vegetables. Yet their family could occasionally afford meat, and the children had even grown taller over the past year.

Meanwhile, Su Muyao sat quietly by the window, playing with her fingers as she listened.

These two kind elders were once again thinking about her. Every time she secretly took out something good from her space, they always made sure it benefited her.

Even though the family wasn’t well-off, they still wanted to give her a grand celebration.

Thinking back to the dream she once had, she realized it might be time to make a trip up the mountain.

When she first obtained her space, she had dreamed that the spiritual spring water inside it was extremely attractive to animals.

Not only that—if animals drank enough of it, they might even develop intelligence.

Whether it was true or not, she had to test it for herself.

She wrapped her coat tighter around herself and quietly slipped out of the house.

Not far from home, she saw a group of elderly villagers chatting at the village entrance.

The moment they spotted her, their faces lit up. One by one, they pulled out small snacks from their pockets and stuffed them into her little shoulder bag.

The bag had been specially made for her by her grandmother. Whenever villagers gave her roasted peanuts or corn, she would store them inside.

At first, her family had been hesitant to let her eat such things. But after realizing that she could eat almost anything without getting sick, they stopped worrying.

“Little Fu Bao, come here! Grandma Liu roasted these peanuts just for you—they’re delicious!”

As she spoke, she dropped a handful of peanuts into the bag.

Then others followed—some added roasted soybeans, others peanuts, and some even gave her corn kernels and melon seeds.

“That’s enough, that’s enough. Thank you, grandpas and grandmas!”

Su Muyao flashed an adorably sweet smile.

The elders were instantly charmed. With her fair skin, chubby cheeks, and bright expression, she was simply irresistible to them.

“Oh my, listen to how clearly she speaks! In all the nearby villages, our Little Fu Bao must be the earliest to walk and talk!”

“Where are you going, little one? Want Grandma Zhao to carry you?”

The speaker was Zhao Jinhua from the east side of the village—a well-known strong personality.

Su Muyao quickly waved her hands. “I’m just going over there to play. I’ll be back soon.”

Seeing that the place she pointed to was just near the big tree at the corner, and still within the village, Zhao Jinhua didn’t worry further.

Everyone watched as the little girl toddled toward the large locust tree ahead.

“Look at the Su family—they’re truly blessed. Why wasn’t it my son who found such a child? I just love these fair, chubby babies,” one woman said enviously.

Another woman beside her scoffed. “Do you love the child, or her luck? Look at your own girls—they’re half-starved. Feeding them properly would matter more than anything.”

The older woman’s face darkened, and she snapped back, “Those two useless girls of mine—if they had even half the luck of Little Fu Bao, I’d buy them anything they wanted!”

“If they’re not capable, you can’t blame anyone else.” She glanced pointedly at the younger woman’s flat stomach.

The younger woman, sensing what was coming next, turned and walked away without another word.

After lingering by the tree for a moment and making sure no one was watching, Su Muyao quietly headed toward the mountain.

“Sigh… this is exhausting. These short legs of mine really make things hard,” she muttered to herself.

Just as she was complaining about the rough mountain path, a shout came from ahead:

“Run! There’s a wild boar!”

“No way—could my luck really be this bad?”

She turned to run back immediately, but in her haste, she tripped over a small stone and fell flat onto the ground.

The man shouting about the boar was a hunter from the village. By then, he had already reached her.

Seeing the little girl fall, he quickly grabbed her and pulled her protectively into his arms.

In that brief moment, the wild boars had already charged up close.

There were two of them—one in front, one behind. The one in front had completely blocked their escape.

The hunter knew that today might be the end for him. Looking down at the baby in his arms, he let out a heavy sigh.

“Sigh… why would you come up the mountain alone?”

Su Muyao hadn’t expected something like this either. This was only the outer edge of the mountain—how could there be such massive wild boars here?

Each of the two beasts weighed at least 300 kilograms.

She tightened her grip on the miniature pistol in her hand. At this point, she couldn’t care less about exposing herself—survival came first.

If the boars made another move, she would pull the trigger immediately.

Her legs trembled uncontrollably. This was her first time facing wild animals in real life.

Then suddenly, a strange voice echoed in her mind:

“It’s that child up ahead, isn’t it? That pleasant scent is coming from her…”

Startled, Su Muyao glanced at the hunter holding her—but he hadn’t spoken.

So who had?

She looked around—and her heart nearly stopped.

Several wolves had emerged from the grass. Among them were two snow-white wolves, staring straight at her.

“I’m done for…”

The little girl nearly collapsed on the spot.

Other people transmigrated and became powerful legends—yet here she was, about to die before she even got started.

But in the next moment, that same voice rang out again in her mind:

“You idiots—take down those two beasts. Don’t you dare harm that precious one.”

Suddenly, three to five wolves sprinted down from the hillside. Their target was clear—the two wild boars.

The boars were no match for them. Within moments, their throats were torn open.

The hunter was utterly confused. Why would wolves from deep within the mountains suddenly appear on the outskirts?

Perhaps the boars had been frightened out of their usual territory…

But regardless of whether it was the boars or the wolves, it seemed like his life would end here today.

He had only come up the mountain to gather some wild vegetables and maybe catch a rabbit. He hadn’t even brought his bow or knife—he never intended to go this far in.

Yet now, after standing there for quite some time, the wolves made no move toward him. Instead, they stared fixedly at the child in his arms.

Unsure, he looked again.

Yes—there was no mistake. Their gaze was locked onto the baby.

“Uncle… can you put me down?”

The hunter loosened his grip slightly. “When I set you down, run as fast as you can back to the village. Shout that wolves have come down the mountain so people can come deal with them, understand?”

After saying that, he placed the little girl behind him and stepped forward to block the wolves.

“Run!” he shouted.

While the hunter was thinking of how to escape, Su Muyao had already understood what the wolves wanted.

They were after the water from her space.

If that was the case, she might as well give it to them.

She took out a large bowl and filled it with spiritual spring water from her space.

With trembling hands, she set the bowl on the ground and stepped back a couple of paces.

The two white wolves rushed forward instantly.

“Awoo—”

They lowered their heads and eagerly drank from the bowl, lapping it up until only a thin layer remained at the bottom.

Only then did they stop.

One of the white wolves stepped forward and gently nudged Su Muyao’s little head with its own.

The tiny girl couldn’t withstand the force—she plopped straight down onto the ground.
