The moment Yan Shaoyu opened his eyes, he saw Yu Haoran keeping watch beside him.

“Boss, you’re finally awake!” Yu Haoran exclaimed excitedly.Full novel: Transmigrated Into a Novel’s Apocalypse: My White Lotus System — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“How long have I been unconscious?” Yan Shaoyu asked as he sat up and looked at him.

He noticed a surge of energy coursing through his body. His eyesight, hearing, physical strength, and mental power had all become significantly stronger.

“Almost two days,” Yu Haoran replied before adding, “By the way, Young Master Yan called. He wants you to return to Imperial City as soon as possible. It seems they’ve already established a base at the resort development area.”

Yan Shaoyu nodded. “Alright. Go tell everyone to pack up. We’ll leave tomorrow.”

Aside from the Yan family, there were two other major factions in Imperial City. With his eldest and second-eldest brothers stationed there, establishing a base shouldn’t be much of a problem.

He tried releasing the energy inside his body. A ball of fire suddenly appeared in the palm of his hand.

Yan Shaoyu stared at the orange-red flame with astonishment, experimenting with how to control it.

…

The following morning!

Bai Zixi stood in front of the mirror, examining herself in her black training outfit. She tied her shoulder-length black hair into a high ponytail, giving herself a beautiful yet capable appearance.

Her skin had become two shades fairer, significantly enhancing her looks. She was now at least a 90 out of 100, right?

Bai Zixi gazed at her reflection with satisfaction, secretly admiring her improved appearance.

She then began organizing her backpack and secured the pistol she had been issued to her waist.

She would have loved to play the role of a delicate, helpless white lotus, but first, she had to make sure she stayed alive!

After finishing her preparations, she picked up her backpack and left the room. The other four members were already waiting in the lobby.

“Let’s go. Make sure you have your weapons and stay close,” Yan Shaoyu said sternly before taking the lead.

Zhu Rui walked over to Bai Zixi.

“Zixi, don’t wander too far from me.”

“Brother Rui, you look so handsome today!” Bai Zixi obediently nodded, not forgetting to compliment him.

After receiving the compliment, Zhu Rui lowered his head shyly. He quickly caught up with the group, and the two of them walked at the very back.

Meanwhile, the five men and two women from the previous day were staying in the opposite room.

Seeing that the group was about to leave, the fat man hurried over to one of the room doors. He could hear embarrassing sounds of a man and woman coming from inside.

The three people sitting in the living room had already grown accustomed to such things and didn’t dare disturb them.

The fat man reluctantly knocked on the door and reported, “Brother Wei, those people across the hall have just left.”

Wei Ge soon emerged from the room and made his decision.

“Pack your things. We’re leaving too.”

Yan Shaoyu and his companions had already made their way down the stairs to the underground parking garage. The vehicle they had driven there was parked not far away.

As soon as they stepped out of the parking garage, the scattered zombies nearby quickly reacted and charged toward them. Fortunately, their movements weren’t particularly fast.

Bai Zixi looked at the surrounding zombies and felt a wave of disgust wash over her. One of them was missing half its face, while another was still jumping around despite having no heart.

She struggled to overcome the fear rising inside her.

The other five members had already drawn their suppressed pistols. They aimed at the heads of the approaching zombies and fired.

The first few zombies charging at them were struck in their vital spots and immediately collapsed.

By now, everyone knew that a zombie’s weakness was its head.

Bai Zixi took a deep breath and pulled out her pistol. She aimed at a zombie not far away and pulled the trigger.

The bullet flew straight into the target’s head. Black blood splattered as the zombie fell to the ground.

She hadn’t even practiced shooting much, yet her shooting posture and accuracy felt completely natural, as though they were abilities she had been born with.

It was probably an instinctive reaction inherited from this body’s original owner.

Her teammates weren’t particularly surprised. In no time, they had cleared all the zombies in the surrounding area.

First-level zombies were only slightly stronger than ordinary humans. In their eyes, these creatures were practically free kills.

Everyone quickly climbed into a modified black seven-seater off-road vehicle.

The vehicle suited their image perfectly.
