[Host, you did that on purpose, didn’t you?]

Yu Jinyao ignored it, only putting on a look of chagrin.

Meanwhile, Xu Xinze, who had heard the loud crash from inside, couldn’t hold back any longer and barged straight in.Full novel: Transmigrated Into a Tool-Girl Supporting Character in Three Books, but I’m a Universal Heartthrob — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Zhizhi, are you—” He froze mid-sentence.

His puppy-like eyes slowly widened.

The girls’ restroom was in complete disarray—an overturned bucket lay on the floor, water covering every inch of the ground.

A girl in a school uniform sat on the floor, her white socks and skirt soaked through. Whether from anger or embarrassment, her cheeks were flushed crimson, her expression one of utter mortification.

Hearing his voice, she looked up, and the fury in her bright, dazzling eyes seemed to sear him as well.

Xu Xinze could clearly hear the drumming of his own heartbeat, rapid and dense.

Ruan Zhi stood there dumbfounded, completely unharmed.

Xu Xinze stood frozen for a long moment. Just as he was about to step forward and help Yu Jinyao up, someone else rushed past him with hurried footsteps and arrived before the girl.

Wen Jiayan, whose face was always so good-natured, wore an expression of rare urgency. “How did you get yourself into this state?”

He helped Yu Jinyao up, then took off his suit jacket and tied it around the girl’s waist.

The water was clean—it had only soaked her skirt and stockings, leaving them wet and uncomfortable.

Yu Jinyao wanted to play the part of a scheming, foolish, universally disliked plot device character, so her eyes were reddened, yet she still glared at Ruan Zhi with unconcealed resentment, the perfect image of a petty villain who’d tried to steal a chicken only to lose the bait.

But she didn’t notice that she was almost entirely wrapped in Wen Jiayan’s embrace.

The ever-impartial student council president saw her resentful expression and could only cover her eyes with his hand.

He turned his head to the council members blocking the doorway and said, “Everyone, disperse. It was just an accident.”

Seeing the gloom beneath his gentle gaze, they wisely took their leave.

They didn’t even dare gossip, keeping tight-lipped about the matter.

Yu Jinyao’s vision was suddenly blocked, and she blinked in confusion.

Her long lashes brushed against the boy’s palm, making his breathing slow by a fraction.

Before she could push his hand away, he smoothly pressed her head into his chest and led her out of the restroom.

“Don’t move. You don’t want everyone to see you in such an embarrassing state, do you?”

He said in a low voice.

Yu Jinyao immediately went still.

Some council members who hadn’t left yet stood in the hallway, automatically clearing a path for the two of them.

As they walked past the crowd, Yu Jinyao heard the System’s notification.

[Character Depth +4]

Huh?

Yu Jinyao’s breath quickened.

Could it be what she was thinking?

This one incident had enriched the character depth of four people at once?

Before she could dwell on it, she heard Wen Jiayan’s voice, now a few shades huskier.

“Sister Yaoyao, be a good girl. Don’t tempt me.”

She could feel the vibration of his chest as he spoke.

Yu Jinyao: ? Are you sick?

…

Wen Jiayan brought her back to his office.

The student council at Xingyao Academy had its own building, and the president’s office was on the top floor.

The entire floor belonged to him alone.

It boasted a spacious office, a reception room, a conference room, and his private lounge.

The lounge came with a bathroom, bedroom, and living room.

“Go take a shower. I’ve already sent someone to bring a new uniform.”

He looked down at the girl’s evasive gaze.

“As for you lying to me… we’ll talk about that later.”

Yu Jinyao pressed her lips together, then said to him, “Thank you.”

Wen Jiayan gave no response.

Though there was irritation at being deceived, and a hint of jealousy, what he felt most was an inexplicable sense of delight.

He’d see how she behaved later.

If she performed well, he’d let her off the hook.

That was his plan.

Sitting on the living room sofa, he took out his phone and logged into Do, starting to check posts about Yaoyao.

The student council members were all tactful—no one was talking about the incident.

But…

Wen Jiayan spotted the top trending post.

[Black Mountain Boss’s Sister-in-Law: With a face this stunning, she’s actually Miss Xia’s sidekick? How have I never noticed her before? [Image]]

The photo was clearly taken candidly—somewhat blurry, only a side profile, shot at an angle.

Even so, it couldn’t diminish the girl’s breathtaking beauty.

Raven hair, snow-white skin—she stood so obediently in the classroom, drawing every eye in the room.

The post had already amassed thousands of replies.

[1L: What? Isn’t this my long-lost wife?]

[2L: That’s a bit much, isn’t it? What can you even see from this?]

[3L: I remember her. The second miss of the Yu family. Just a second-rate wealthy clan—she’s only fit to be Xia Muyan’s sidekick.]

[4L: Tsk, if only she were a special admit [sinister grin]]

Below were even more explicit and lewd comments, rife with vulgarity.

These people had simply been born into privilege—it didn’t mean they had any class.

Wen Jiayan’s face turned cold as he banned the post. Before deleting it entirely, he hesitated.

His fingers moved slightly, saving the image to his phone.

“Beep—door open—”

Hearing the sound from the entrance, Wen Jiayan quickly exited the forum and flipped his phone face-down on the table.

He looked up to see a man in a white shirt and casual pants walking in.

Above his high-bridged nose were a pair of deep, indifferent dark eyes, his brows like distant mountains, his expression faint.

A paper bag dangled from his pale, slender fingers.

Yu Shiyan walked in slowly and set the bag on the table.

“What’s this?”

Wen Jiayan leaned in to look.

“The school uniform you wanted.”

The man raised an eyebrow and sat down on the sofa without ceremony.

Wen Jiayan’s movements froze.

His voice dropped a few degrees: “How did it end up with you?”

“I happened to run into a female classmate on the way up, and kindly offered to bring it up for her.”

“Since when are you the kind of person to do favors?”

Yu Shiyan chuckled lightly: “Of course not.”

A hint of seriousness crept into his brows and eyes as he cast a brief glance toward the bathroom, from which the sound of water came.

“Wen, don’t be foolish. When have I ever seen you bring a girl to the lounge?”

Ever since learning about the confession, Wen Jiayan had already found Yu Shiyan hard to stomach.

Now he had come over, spouting these self-righteous words.

His irritation reached its peak, and the words that slipped out bypassed his brain entirely.

“My love life doesn’t seem to be any of your concern, does it?”

“She’ll be out in a moment. To avoid any misunderstanding, you’d better leave first.”

Wen Jiayan’s voice was cold.

Yu Shiyan had never seen this side of him.

“You—”

“Jiayan-gege, has the uniform arrived? Can you pass it in to me?”

A sweet, soft voice cut off Yu Shiyan’s words, and he could almost hear the shyness and coquettishness wrapped in the moisture of the steam.

Wen Jiayan responded promptly: “It’s here.”

He picked up the bag and walked toward the bathroom.

Yu Shiyan watched as the bathroom door cracked open just a sliver, and a slender arm as fair and smooth as a tender lotus root reached out.

Her skin was tinged pink from the hot steam.

Her fingers were pale and delicate, the tips a soft pink like fallen peach blossoms.

Yu Shiyan’s gaze grew somewhat dazed.

Even after the person inside had taken the uniform, he was still staring at the bathroom door.

Wen Jiayan blocked his view.

“Ready to leave now? Or do you want to meet her?”
