Jiang Tang stiffly withdrew her hand, holding the milk tea in a daze while actually screaming internally at the System.
“Tongtong, what’s going on? Doesn’t Shen Xiunian have mysophobia? How could he drink milk tea using the same straw as me?”
The System didn’t know what was happening either.
Jiang Tang was utterly confused.
She held the milk tea, staring blankly. She felt too embarrassed to drink from the cup Shen Xiunian had just used.
Shen Xiunian glanced at her casually. “Why aren’t you drinking?”
Jiang Tang looked up.
He tilted his head slightly. “Disgusted by me?”
Jiang Tang: !!
The words she had just said to Shen Xiunian were now being thrown right back at her!
She hurriedly took a sip of the milk tea through the straw, then explained softly, “No, I was afraid you might still want to drink, so I wanted to save it for you.”
“So that’s how it is.”
Shen Xiunian seemed thoughtful as he brought his own milk tea to Jiang Tang’s lips.
Jiang Tang looked at him.
He still wore that casual expression. “Couples often share the same cup of milk tea.”
Jiang Tang obediently took a sip through the straw.
After drinking, her face scrunched up slightly, and she hummed softly, “Shen Xiunian, your milk tea doesn’t taste good.”
“Hmm.” Shen Xiunian chuckled lightly. “Not as sweet as yours.”
Jiang Tang was certain the atmosphere had turned somewhat ambiguous, though she didn’t understand why.
But she sensed danger and knew she had to break this mood.
Jiang Tang took two steps back, lowering her head to seriously drink her milk tea. She finished it in two or three gulps, then showed the empty cup to Shen Xiunian. “I finished it.”
She turned and scurried off to throw away the trash.
Jiang Tang felt a bit flustered. Dear bestie, what on earth did you write to Shen Xiunian!
She swore that Shen Xiunian might appear aloof and restrained, but in relationships, he was definitely dominant and would take control from start to finish.
His dominance was hidden beneath his good upbringing and manners, but Jiang Tang had caught a glimpse of it.
And with dominance came possessiveness.
Jiang Tang sighed in relief. Thankfully, Shen Xiunian didn’t like her. Thankfully, she only had to be his girlfriend for a year. Thankfully, she only had to meet him once a month.
After a year, she would have nothing to do with Shen Xiunian.
Jiang Tang made up her mind: from now on, whenever she acted up, she had to think ahead—if Shen Xiunian mimicked her behavior, could she handle it?
Shen Xiunian leaned against the wall, watching Jiang Tang’s retreating figure, a flicker of amusement in his eyes. A sharp little fox.
After throwing away the empty cup, Jiang Tang composed herself and turned around, locking eyes with Shen Xiunian.
Shen Xiunian leisurely took a sip through the straw.
Jiang Tang’s face flushed bright red.
Jerk!
He did it on purpose!
Jiang Tang glared at Shen Xiunian, thinking she looked fierce but actually appearing utterly soft and adorable.
She turned and walked in the opposite direction.
Shen Xiunian raised an eyebrow. Hmm, better not tease her too much.
He strode over, casually tossing his milk tea cup into the trash, wiping his hands with a wet wipe, and then catching up to Jiang Tang.
He deliberately asked, “Angry?”
Jiang Tang ignored him.
Shen Xiunian chuckled softly.
The System still refused to give up. “Tangtang, take a photo with Shen Xiunian and make him post it on his Moments.”
“Shen Xiunian’s Moments are only for family and various academic big shots. He definitely won’t want to post a couple photo.”
Jiang Tang caught on quickly. “Then I’ll end the date!”
The System cheered. “Yes!”
The two reached an agreement.
Jiang Tang turned to look at Shen Xiunian, her face full of anticipation. “Shen Xiunian, let’s take a photo together.”
“Isn’t our first date worth commemorating?”
Shen Xiunian looked into her bright, expectant eyes and agreed.
“Shen Xiunian, come over here for a photo.”
Shen Xiunian walked over to Jiang Tang’s side, his expression indifferent as he casually reached out and wrapped his arm around her waist.
His hand was large, his palm scorching hot. The searing warmth penetrated the thin fabric of her dress, clearly transmitting to the skin at her waist. She instinctively squirmed—she was very ticklish.
Shen Xiunian didn’t let go. Holding her waist, he gently pulled her closer into his embrace and said nonchalantly, “Go ahead and take it.”
