In the fourth year of university, staying in the dormitories was basically unnecessary because most students had already gone out for internships, meaning very few people actually lived in the dorms.

“Mm, that depends entirely on your own wishes.” The reason the great President Lu did not refute him was partly due to a bit of personal selfishness. If Xia Yuning stayed in the dormitory, he would no longer be able to eat those meals that suited his palate so well.

To think that the dignified President Lu would harbor a selfish motive purely out of concern for his food. Tsk, tsk, tsk.Full novel: Transmigrated Into The Villainous CEO’s Bride — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Then I am going to rest first.” After thinking for a moment, Xia Yuning politely added, “You should get some rest early too.”

Lu Jinglin tapped his knuckles against the book in his hand and smiled faintly. “Alright.”

Xia Yuning returned to his own room, stripped off his pants, revealing a pair of pale, fair legs, and stepped into the bathroom.

Ever since the first night after arriving here, he and Lu Jinglin had been sleeping in separate rooms. This was for the best; otherwise, they would have had to face far too many awkward situations.

Early the next morning, Xia Yuning woke up driven by his biological clock. He reached out to fumble around his pillow, fished out his phone, and took a look. There was a message.

It was a message sent by his counselor last night, asking if he was coming to school today.

As early as a few days ago before getting the new phone, he had already added the WeChat and phone numbers of a few important people to this device. The phone number he was currently using was also newly registered. To prevent that scumbag male lead from contacting him, he really had gone through a lot of trouble.

He replied to the counselor: I am going to school today.

Xia Yuning got up, tidied up simply, and went downstairs.

Seeing Xia Yuning coming down the stairs, Lu Jinglin stood up from the sofa and straightened his suit jacket. “These two people are bodyguards arranged for you. Later, have them help you move your luggage.”

Xia Yuning followed Lu Jinglin’s gaze to look at the two bodyguards standing beside the sofa.

The two bodyguards bowed deeply to him in unison and said, “Hello, Mr. Xia!”

Both of them were tall, built like mountains, with muscular physiques, and were even wearing sunglasses, making them look precisely like loan sharks who could frighten children to tears just by walking down the street.

Xia Yuning thought that if they followed behind him looking like that later, he could turn into a mafia boss in a matter of minutes.

“Hello.” Xia Yuning paused and then said, “Could you take off your sunglasses? Otherwise, it might not look very good when we get to school later.”

Lu Jinglin froze for a moment, evidently realizing that these two bodyguards were far too conspicuous. “It was my oversight.”

He turned around and instructed the two bodyguards, “Take off your sunglasses and go change into casual clothes.”

The bodyguards chorused in unison once more, “Understood, President Lu.”

The driver dropped Xia Yuning off at the main gate of A University and found a parking space to stop.

The bodyguards drove a separate car. Seeing Xia Yuning get out, they also stepped out and followed him into the campus.

As Xia Yuning walked along, faint glances fell upon him from all directions, but he paid them no mind. Having encountered this situation so many times, he was already used to it.

As he passed by two girls in dresses, their excited whispers drifted into his ears:

“Oh my god, so handsome!”

“Not just handsome, he has reached the level of gorgeous! That skin, those eyes, those facial features are mesmerizing!”

“Right, right! I made eye contact with him for a second just now, and my soul almost got snatched away!”

“Who is he? Is there someone like this in our school? If there were, we couldn’t possibly not know someone with such high looks!”

“No idea…”

The voices gradually faded into the distance. Xia Yuning thought to himself just how invisible the original owner must have been at school.
