Ever since Wu Lili became Su Jianheng’s secretary, everyone treated her with the utmost respect.

This was the first time anyone had ever spoken to her like that, and by a mere kid, no less.

Her expression instantly darkened. “I am a secretary, that is true, but what kind of creature are you? Is this a place you have any business entering?”Full novel: Transmigrated to my Brother’s Eighteenth Year and Kissed His Nemesis — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Su Nanye wasn’t particularly bothered when he was the one being reprimanded.

However, seeing Su Ning being scolded ignited a nameless fury rising straight from the bottom of his heart.

“Aunt Wu, watch your mouth!” he said in a cold voice.

This was also the first time Su Nanye had ever spoken to Wu Lili in such a manner.

She grew even angrier. “I haven’t even settled accounts with you for what you’ve done, and yet you dare snap at me?”

Su Ning was genuinely about to laugh.

Anyone who knew the situation knew Wu Lili was her father’s secretary; anyone who didn’t would have thought Wu Lili was her father’s wife.

No one was allowed to talk to her older brother like that!

She raised her chin slightly, staring fixedly at Wu Lili, the imposing aura of a pampered eldest daughter seemingly innate to her. “Whose accounts are you planning to settle? Even a secretary dares to be this fierce? My QQ Farm is short a dog, and you look like a perfect fit!”

Wu Lili: “Oh!”

Before Wu Lili could even reply, Su Ning turned her gaze toward the middle-aged man sitting in the office chair. “Su Jianheng! Is this how you indulge your secretary?”

For quite some time now, her father hadn’t uttered a single word, leaving a mere secretary to scold his biological son.

It was clear that Wu Lili’s attitude toward her brother had been tacitly permitted by their father.

The eldest Miss Su was angry, looking straight into her father’s eyes and calling him directly by his full name.

The atmosphere in the entire office stagnated instantly because of Su Ning’s words.

Su Nanye’s left eyeball looked as though it was about to pop out of its socket.

His younger sister was way too daring!

Even when he was being rebellious outside, he wouldn’t dare speak to his old man like this, let alone call him by his full name. Most of the workers at the factory wouldn’t even dare draw a full breath when they saw his old man.

Yet, she was standing up for him.

A warm current slowly flowed through Su Nanye’s heart.

Was this what it felt like to have a younger sister?

Wu Lili was once again struck dumb with shock.

Where on earth did this girl pop out from?

She literally had the guts of a bear and the heart of a leopard!

Scolding her was one thing, but she even dared to lecture Su Jianheng.

Su Jianheng was definitely going to call security to throw her out.

The gazes of all three people inside the office converged on Su Jianheng.

Wu Lili curled the corners of her mouth, crossing her arms as she prepared to watch a good show.

Su Nanye originally wouldn’t have dared to speak up, but he was afraid his father would fly into a rage at Su Ning.

Whenever he got scolded even a little bit, Su Ning would start crying. If his father blew up, Su Ning might just pass out from crying.

Bracing himself, he blurted out, “Dad, don’t get angry.”

It wasn’t that Su Jianheng didn’t want to speak. Rather, he was trapped in a state of immense shock and was temporarily unable to utter a single word.

This girl looked so much like his wife when she was young.

On top of that, he felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity.

This struck him as deeply bizarre, leaving him frozen in place for a long while.

At this moment, he was recalled to reality by Su Nanye’s voice. He looked toward Wu Lili and coldly parted his lips: “Get out.”

Su Nanye raised his foot, preparing to drag Su Ning out with him, only to realize a second later that the person his father was talking about wasn’t him.

Wu Lili was utterly astonished, pointing at herself. “Ah? Me?”

Su Jianheng usually didn’t show much expression, but once his face turned cold, his sense of oppression became overwhelming. “Do I need to say it a second time?”

Wu Lili truly couldn’t wrap her head around why this was happening. She gave Su Jianheng an aggrieved look, shot a vicious glare at Su Ning, and only then clicked her high heels as she walked out.

Su Jianheng once again cast his gaze upon Su Ning.

“Who are you?”

His fingertips tapped twice lightly on the desk, a hint of probing in the depths of his eyes.

Su Jianheng had indulged his secretary in treating her older brother with that kind of attitude.

Now, Su Ning didn’t like him anymore, and she didn’t even want to acknowledge him as her father.

However, since her brother had no idea where their mother was, she had to go through Su Jianheng to find her.

She let out a cold hum, raising her alabaster chin. “I am your daughter!”

Even though she was claiming to be his daughter, her commanding aura made it sound more like she was saying, “I am your ancestor!”

Su Jianheng’s brows furrowed tightly. Unable to believe what he had just heard, he turned his head to look at Su Nanye. “What did she just say?”

Su Nanye actually took a bit of pleasure in seeing that kind of expression on his dad’s face. He slumped back onto the sofa and said, “She said she’s your daughter!”

The next second, he sprang back up from the sofa and said to Su Ning, “You should sit down and talk.”

Su Ning really was getting tired of standing, so she sat down on the sofa and said to Su Nanye, “Brother, I’m a little thirsty.”

Before his brain could even process it, Su Nanye’s mouth spoke up: “Alright, I’ll go pour you some water.”

Su Jianheng: “Oh!”

When did this brat ever become so attentive?

“You’re my daughter? What kind of joke are you playing?” Su Jianheng pulled his focus back to the main issue.

When his wife gave birth back then, he had stayed on guard outside the delivery room the entire time, and the doctor had only brought out a single boy.

If she had simply claimed to be his wife’s daughter, he might have actually believed it because of the resemblance.

Then again, maybe she was a child his wife had with another man. After all, his wife had never loved him.

Besides, his wife’s lifelong wish had always been to have a daughter.

It was his own uselessness that had resulted in her giving birth to a son.

Su Ning couldn’t be bothered to explain too much. “Believe it or not, I don’t care. Just give me my mother’s number; I need to contact her!”

Su Jianheng’s expression paused slightly.

If she kept insisting like this, maybe he would actually start believing her!

“What is your name?” he asked, pretending to remain unruffled.

Su Ning took the cup of water handed over by Su Nanye, took a small sip, and answered with haughty pride, “Su Ning.”

Su Nanye was also just learning Su Ning’s name for the first time. He grinned broadly. “Your name is so pretty.”

The word “Ning” easily brought lemons to mind.

And lemons were his mother’s absolute favorite.

She wasn’t afraid of sourness at all, capable of eating raw lemons completely expressionlessly.

In her daily life, she also loved using lemon-scented products; both her shampoo and body wash were lemon-scented.

Just by getting close to her, you could catch a faint, refreshing fragrance of lemons.

Upon hearing the name, Su Jianheng was momentarily stunned.

When his wife had first become pregnant, the two of them had discussed the issue of a child’s name.

If it was a girl, she would be named Su Ning, because his wife loved lemons the most.

If it was a boy, they would just name him whatever.

Yet this girl’s name was Su Ning?

In Su Jianheng’s deep, dark pupils, massive ripples began to surge.

“But wait! Your mother didn’t give birth to fraternal twins back then.”

Could it be that the hospital had hidden his precious daughter away?

Hearing this, Su Nanye knew right away that his dad had bought into Su Ning’s identity.

Flipping his dyed rainbow bangs, he offered an explanation: “She time-traveled back from twenty years in the future.”

The eldest Miss Su was currently in a bad mood, so she didn’t want to chime in.

Seeing her brother speak up instead, she maintained a flat expression, her slender, white fingers pinching the edge of the cup as she placed it down on the coffee table.

Before the cup even touched the table, it was snatched away by Su Nanye. “Do you want something else to drink? I just saw some juice and coffee over there.”

Su Ning glanced toward the tea station. “No. I only drink freshly squeezed juice, and I don’t drink instant coffee.”

Su Nanye nodded, acting as attentive as a chief eunuch by an emperor’s side. “Got it, I’ve made a note of it.”

Su Jianheng: “Oh!”

Was this really his willful and untamed son?

No, that wasn’t the main point.

The main point was time travel.

If she had really time-traveled from the future, then she definitely wouldn’t have mistaken her own father.

This really was his daughter!

He looked at Su Ning a few more times, finding her more pleasing to the eye the longer he looked.

Her bone structure bore a strong resemblance to his wife’s, but if you looked closely, you could find faint traces of his own features hidden between her brows and eyes.

He picked up the desk phone and first dialed an internal extension. “Go buy a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and bring it over.”

Then, taking out his flip phone, he flipped it open and dialed a number.

It took a while for the other end to pick up.

A brisk yet distant female voice sounded: “Is something the matter?”

Every single time, Su Jianheng would be discouraged by this kind of tone and lose all desire to say anything more to her.

Today was different, however.

Their daughter had come back to find them.

Suppressing his surging excitement, Su Jianheng spoke in a flat, indifferent tone: “Something’s up. Our daughter has time-traveled back from the future.”
