Bai Yingxia was very careful when she fed Senior Si to avoid choking him or staining his clean clothes. It took her almost 30 minutes to feed him a bowl of porridge.

When she was done, she fed him medicine and two glasses of spring water before she laid him down and covered him with a blanket.

After she had eaten her breakfast, Bai Yingxia checked on him again. Only when she was sure that he wouldn’t wake up anytime soon did she leave the space.Full novel: Transmigrated To The Apocalypse As A Mob Character — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The pharmacy was no longer safe thanks to the zombies’ corpses outside. Although the rancid stench was thick, the smell of blood would attract zombies sooner or later.

Carrying her backpack, Bai Yingxia left the pharmacy and took out a Sport Utility Truck from her space.

She remembered the direction the group had left just now. Since they used cars, they must have cleared the road. In that case, she should follow them. Let them clear the road for her.

Opening the back seat door, she lowered the seats, brought Senior Si out of her space, and let him sleep on the back seat. After she ensured that he wouldn’t roll off the seat, she went to the driver’s seat and turned on the engine.

Bai Yingxia didn’t have a good impression of people who could abandon their friend when they were clearly able to take him with them. Therefore, she didn’t plan to get too close to them.

Since she had no fixed destination in her mind yet, she didn’t drive too fast. The cars and debris blocking the road had indeed been cleared by the group, but the zombies wandering on the road had not been killed.

To avoid being trapped by the zombies, Bai Yingxia had to stop once in a while to clear them. After fighting zombies a few times during her escape from the factory area, she realized that a longsword and a crossbow were more suitable for her.

After she parked the car, she locked the door and took out a compound crossbow from her space. She aimed at the incoming zombies and pulled the trigger.

Shuu~ Shuu~ Shuu~

The sound of the arrows whizzing through the air was heard a moment before the arrows pierced the zombies’ foreheads.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

The sound of bones cracking was heard clearly by Bai Yingxia.

Thanks to her training for several months, her marksmanship had improved by leaps and bounds. At short distances, it would be hard for her to miss the target even if it were moving.

There were more than 20 zombies rushing toward her. When they finally closed the distance to less than 5 meters, there were only 5 zombies left.

Bai Yingxia took several steps backward while shooting at the zombies.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

She took down 3 more zombies, but it was too late for her to kill the other 2.

"Roar!"

The zombies reached out their rotten arms and aimed their sharp nails at her throat. Seeing the incoming attack, Bai Yingxia dodged to the side.

At the same time, she put the crossbow into her space and took out her longsword.

CLANG!

She used the sword’s scabbard to block the zombie’s sharp nails. Raising her leg, she kicked the zombie away.

Duagh!

Although her strength had improved after drinking the spring water, it was far from enough to kick the zombie flying. The zombie staggered backward several steps but didn’t fall to the ground.

Taking advantage of the opening, she unsheathed her longsword and used the sharp tip to pierce the nearby zombie’s forehead.

Crack! Crash!

The sword pierced the zombie’s skull and destroyed its brain.

"Roar!"

Hearing the incoming roar from behind, she pulled out the sword. As soon as the blade was pulled out, black blood and rotten brain matter splashed out from the zombie’s head and stained the ground and her clothes.

Bai Yingxia had no time to worry about the stains or feel nauseous. Turning her body, she slashed down with her longsword diagonally.

Crash!

The sword severed the zombie’s stretched, rotten arms, but it didn’t stop it from pouncing at her with its mouth wide open. As the zombie’s sharp teeth got closer, she was hit by a wave of thick, rancid stench.

Feeling her stomach churning, Bai Yingxia gritted her teeth and squatted down. The zombie missed its target, and its body leaned forward.

Using the momentum, she grabbed the zombie’s dirty legs and threw it behind her as she stood up.

Duagh!

The zombie’s face hit the ground and broke its neck. The zombie struggled to stand up with its head hung low. But before it could even flip its body over, a sharp blade severed its already broken neck, killing it instantly.

The rotten head rolled a few times before it came to a stop, while the zombie’s body already stopped moving and lay on the ground. The black blood flows from the severed neck, staining the ground.

Bai Yingxia let out a sigh of relief after she killed the zombie. Using the back of her hand, she wiped away the black blood staining her cheek.

She didn’t bother to check the zombie’s brain for any crystals since the zombie nucleus only appeared in Level 1 Zombies, according to the plot. The first Level 1 Zombie would only appear after the red rain, which happened 2 months from now.

Since the number of arrows was limited, Bai Yingxia pulled the arrows out of the zombies’ heads. Before she put them into her space, she used the water she had collected from the water filtering plant to clean them first.

When she was done, 40 minutes had passed. She returned to her car and drove it to a nearby store. There were a lot of small stores in this area. Although it was on the outskirts of the city, it was still not as desolate as the villages.

She checked the stores one by one and collected the supplies that were not packed in sealed packaging. She also took away supplies that could rot easily, such as vegetables, meat, ice cream, and dairy products.
