“Ahhh, help! Lu Miaomiao is killing someone!”
Xiao Bigui’s screams echoed nonstop, but apart from Niu Cuihua feeling a bit distressed, everyone else acted as if they didn’t hear anything. His wife, meanwhile, stayed hidden in the house and didn’t come out.
“You? You think you’re worthy of coveting me? You really are as arrogant as a dung beetle yawning!”
Although Lu Miaomiao avoided his vital spots, she didn’t hold back her strength. Each strike made him cry and howl for his parents.
“You want to try it too? Here, take it. Once you get used to this whip, it’s much more useful than other weapons.”
Lu Miaomiao keenly noticed that Xiao Bian’an was stealing glances at her and assumed he wanted to try the whip, so she handed it to him.
“Thank you! This is a bit like the whip used for driving a cattle cart, but longer.”
Xiao Bian’an had originally just been admiring her skill, but since she offered it, he naturally took it and looked at it curiously. He had only ever used a whip when driving cattle carts.
“You’re not wrong. My whip is used for dealing with beasts, and it’s somewhat similar in purpose to the cattle whip you mentioned.
But mine hits dozens of times more painfully than an ordinary whip.
Since someone is here for you to practice on, go ahead and try it.”
Xiao Bian’an hesitated. “That doesn’t seem right… after all, he’s my older brother.”
One second later—snap!—the whip landed squarely on his second brother Xiao Bigui.
“Ahhh! Help! It hurts! Xiao Bian’an, I’m your real brother!
Ouch, stop hitting me! Please spare me!
I was wrong, I was cheap-mouthed, I shouldn’t have talked nonsense!”
After screaming, Xiao Bigui quickly began crying and begging for mercy.
He shouldn’t have been so careless with his words.
“You’re pretty good. Your wrist movement is correct, and your aim is solid. You’ve got talent.
But your strength is a bit lacking—let me adjust it. Watch closely.”
Lu Miaomiao praised him as he hit the target perfectly on the first try.
Using a whip requires technique. Hers was a three-meter-long whip—if the aim was even slightly off, it would miss. And even if it hit without enough force, it was useless.
“Okay, here you go.”
Xiao Bian’an, pleased by her praise, felt much more relaxed, almost like he was back on a training field.
The two of them completely ignored Xiao Bigui’s wails for mercy.
“Watch carefully!”
Lu Miaomiao took the whip, flicked her wrist, and lashed it out backward. The whip seemed alive as it coiled around Xiao Bigui’s arm as he tried to escape.
With a pull, she threw him back next to his two children—reuniting the whole family in one place.
Then, with a quick twist of her wrist, she retrieved the whip smoothly.
“Ouch! It hurts like hell! Xiao Bian’an, you crippled bastard!
And you, Lu Miaomiao, you shameless seductress, used-up woman!
If you’ve got the guts, kill me!
If you don’t kill me, I’ll report you to the brigade leader for beating your own brother!”
Seeing that begging didn’t work, Xiao Bigui began to curse in rage and threaten them.
The two children also got riled up and started shouting:
“Help! The damned Xiao Bian’an is going to kill his own nephew!”
“That shameless educated youth is going to kill my dad! Somebody help!”
“Shut up! So noisy!”
Annoyed, Lu Miaomiao rolled her eyes and without another word, whipped three bold red crosses across their faces.
Inside the house, Liu Huifang peeked through the window. She wanted to go out but didn’t dare, only silently cursing in her heart that Xiao Bian’an and Lu Miaomiao should die horribly.
Xiao Bian’an… wanted to laugh, but held it in.
After all… they were family.
“Pfft.”
Both Xiao Bian’an and Lu Miaomiao turned toward Xiao Caocao, who looked a bit frightened.
She quickly covered her mouth with both hands and shook her head hard.
“I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to laugh! Don’t hit my mouth!”
“You didn’t do anything wrong, why would I hit you? Laugh if you want.”
Lu Miaomiao rested her head on Xiao Bian’an’s shoulder and said helplessly, looking at her.
She’s not a violent maniac, okay?
Xiao Bian’an’s face started heating up again, but he didn’t stop her. This was much more restrained than anything intimate—he shouldn’t be greedy.
And strangely, he didn’t dislike her clingy behavior at all. In fact… he kind of liked it.
“Your dear second brother said he’d report you if you don’t beat him to death.
Since he said so, make sure you go a bit harder. At least… beat him properly.”
Lu Miaomiao handed him the whip again and whispered, “Just don’t exceed ten lashes—he won’t die or suffer permanent damage.”
Xiao Bian’an nodded.
Then the courtyard filled once again with Xiao Bigui’s screams. After ten lashes, Xiao Bian’an finally stopped, somewhat unsatisfied.
Xiao Bigui was already lying on the ground, unable to even curse anymore.
“Liu Huifang, come out and take your man back inside!”
Lu Miaomiao called toward the house. Leaving him lying in the yard was unsightly.
“Coming, coming!”
Liu Huifang quickly ran out, her plump body surprisingly nimble.
Tsk, this woman really has strong survival instincts—she recovered so fast.
“Comrade Lu, this is your money. Not a cent is missing.”
“Mm, good performance. Take your man back to the room and then come eat.”
Lu Miaomiao took the money and said calmly. If she wasn’t full, how could she make people work?
“Alright, I’ll be done soon! Mom, come help me carry Xiao Bigui!”
She originally didn’t want to help the man who had just insulted her and talked about divorce, but the mention of food immediately changed her attitude.
She casually ordered Niu Cuihua, but since her children had just clashed with Liu Guilan’s family, she didn’t dare order Liu Guilan.
“Carry him yourself. Do you think my mother is someone you can order around?”
Lu Miaomiao snapped at her.
She was very protective of her own people.
Xiao Bian’an felt a bit moved—his wife really knew how to care for people.
Niu Cuihua looked at her gratefully—her daughter-in-law had spoken up for her.
“Alright, I’ll carry him myself.”
Liu Huifang reluctantly dragged Xiao Bigui back into the house.
“Goudan, bring the food out. Time to eat!
Xiaocao, go help him with the bowls and chopsticks.”
“Alright, sis-in-law!” Xiao Caocao happily ran to the kitchen.
“Big brother, big sister-in-law, father, mother—stop standing there. Go wash your hands and set the table.
You’re less active than the kids!”
Everyone responded and went to fetch water.
“Not enthusiastic about eating means something is wrong with your mindset! Let’s go to the stone table.”
Seeing everyone finally move, Lu Miaomiao muttered.
“One moment, let Dad help me over. It’s inconvenient for me,” Xiao Bian’an said quietly, a bit dejected.
