As soon as the words left his mouth, Raymond reached out and pressed the button.
Soon, five beams of light shot out from Sangria’s sinner card.
They formed a five-pointed star pattern. They were: 3 Experience Cards (Black Iron Stage, 5 days), 1 Experience Card (Black Iron Stage, 10 days), and 1 Talent Card (Giant’s Body).
Raymond’s pupils shrank when he saw the Talent Card appear in front of him.
The Giant’s Body was one of the strongest human combat physiques in this world. It was the dream physique of countless human warriors.
A female giant standing five meters tall could go head-to-head against five human warriors in terms of strength, defense, and endurance.
Thinking this, Raymond didn’t hesitate. He used the Talent Card right away.
Soon, a brand new talent appeared in Raymond’s talent slot: [Giant’s Body (4).]
"A Level 4 talent?" Raymond couldn’t contain his excitement. He immediately left the empty space.
Suddenly, an intense pain spread through his entire body.
Raymond felt like his body was being torn apart.
His spine began to writhe, starting from his tailbone. Waves of golden energy flowed through his spinal cord into every bone.
The neural networks, blood vessels, muscles, and skin attached to those bones all began to swell.
Raymond felt every muscle in his body cramping.
Even his soul trembled along with it.
"This hurts like hell!" Raymond screamed inside his head. He gritted his teeth and bore the pain. Cold sweat soaked the carpet beneath his feet.
About an hour later, Raymond finally let out a breath. "It’s finally over!"
At this moment, Raymond looked like he had just climbed out of a river. He was soaked from head to toe.
He swore to himself that next time he got a Talent Card, he would make sure the talent fully activated inside the empty space before returning to the real world.
Raymond slowly got to his feet and was about to straighten his back.
With a loud rip!
His pants and shirt tore apart at the same time.
Raymond looked down and saw that the buttons on his clothes had popped off somewhere, long gone.
"Holy crap! I’m not turning into a giant, am I!" Raymond yelled, rushing to the mirror.
Seeing that his height was still within normal human range, he let out a sigh of relief.
Thankfully, he had only grown about 15 centimeters taller.
Raymond’s body still kept the perfect inverted triangle shape, just a bit more muscular than before.
Suddenly, something crossed Raymond’s mind. He pulled open his pants and looked down, his jaw dropping in shock. "I feel like I could make a dragon pregnant."
Raymond grabbed a cup to get some water.
Crackle...
A hair-raising sound echoed through the room.
Raymond’s eyes went wide. The metal cup in his hand had been crushed into a crumpled ball of tin.
"Holy shit!" Raymond quickly let go. That’s when he noticed a clear handprint pressed into the wall where he had just been leaning.
Had his strength really increased this much?
For a moment, Raymond could hardly believe it.
He spotted an iron rod in the corner. He picked it up and hit it hard against his forearm.
The result? His forearm just felt a little numb and sore, with a faint red mark left behind.
But the straight iron rod was now bent into a curve.
So not only had his strength increased, but his defense had too?
Raymond thought back to what had just happened, and it all clicked.
His body was now no different from a full-grown giant.
He just hadn’t grown to five meters tall. But his bone density, skin toughness, muscle elasticity, and organ strength had all reached the level of a giant
"So I’m basically a normal human with the body of a giant?" Raymond clenched his fists, his eyes growing brighter.
Strictly speaking, Raymond not only had a giant’s physical body, but he also had the reflexes of a Feline animal.
Think about it: a giant’s body combined with a half-beast’s reactions. Put those two talents together, and it was absolutely insane.
But that wasn’t even the limit of Raymond’s physical abilities.
When he raised the Holy Hall Body-Tempering Technique to the Grandmaster stage, he would be confident enough to catch an arrow shot by Barron head-on.
After getting excited, Raymond went back to the empty space.
He walked up to Nami’s sinner card and did a five-draw batch: 5 Experience Cards (Black Iron Stage, 5 days).
Raymond shook his head and moved to Samantha’s sinner card. He did another five-draw batch: 4 Experience Cards (Black Iron Stage, 5 days) and 1 Experience Card (Black Iron Stage, 10 days).
"Damn, where did that 10% luck boost go?" Raymond blew on his fist and started another five-draw batch.
After opening six sinner cards in a row, he got a total of: 5 Experience Cards (Black Iron Stage, 5 days), 15 Experience Cards (Black Iron Stage, 10 days), 5 Experience Cards (Black Iron Stage, 15 days), and 1 Skill Card (Basic Swordplay).
"Damn it!" Raymond clenched his fists in anger.
He finally pulled a Skill Card, and it turned out to be a skill he already knew.
Raymond activated the card, and a flood of Basic Swordplay knowledge rushed into his mind.
It felt like he was practicing Basic Swordplay all over again, making new discoveries and gaining new insights.
Problems he had never paid attention to before were now brought to light, and he focused on learning how to fix them.
Even though this Skill Card didn’t raise Raymond’s Basic Swordplay level, he was confident that with just 100 more days, he could push Basic Swordplay to the Grandmaster stage.
Finally, he stood in front of the succubus Lorraine’s sinner card.
He stared at her Guard Contribution Points, stuck at 69. He gritted his teeth and pressed the five-draw button.
Soon, five rewards appeared in front of Raymond: 1 Knowledge Card (Human Vital Points Map), 1 Knowledge Card (360 Sex Positions), and 3 Experience Cards (Black Iron Stage, 20 days).
Raymond looked at the two Knowledge Cards and let out a sigh.
The Human Vital Points Map would at least let him know where to strike for a fatal blow on a human body.
But what good was the 360 Sex Positions card?
Why would anyone need that many positions for sex?
Working out or something?
Raymond complained and directly used the Knowledge Card (Human Vital Points Map).
In an instant, it was as if Raymond had been a trained killer for years. He now knew every weak spot on the human body inside and out.
Raymond was confident that in a fight, he could now target an enemy’s vital points with every move, dealing maximum damage.
"Time to start a training session!" Raymond looked at the Experience Cards in his hand.
He now had 42 Experience Cards in total, adding up to 390 days of training time.
"Seven days in exchange for the equivalent of 390 days of Black Iron Stage training? That’s a steal!" Raymond gritted his teeth and burned through 100 days worth of experience, focusing all of it on training Basic Swordplay!
Soon, Raymond returned to that pale, empty world.
But this time, things were different. His opponents now included an Archer and a Holy Temple warrior.
"Can this space simulate every strong opponent I’ve ever met?" Raymond stared in shock, feeling a surge of excitement.
This meant that as long as he collected enough Memory Stones, he could even bring in a Paladin or a Sword Saint to spar with him.
Now, his goal of pushing Basic Swordplay to Grandmaster within a hundred days seemed way more achievable!
Raymond held back his excitement and dove straight into training.
When he opened his eyes again, the level of Basic Swordplay in his skill bar had changed.
[Basic Swordplay (Master → Grandmaster)]
Raymond didn’t have a longsword handy, so he grabbed the iron rod he had bent earlier and started swinging it.
Soon, the bent rod straightened out completely as he swung it through the air.
Raymond’s eyes went wide as he stared at the rod. "Is the Grandmaster level about deeply understanding how power flows and mastering the ability to [deflect force]?"
With all these new abilities under his belt, Raymond shot to his feet.
He couldn’t wait to test out his strength.
As for the remaining Experience Cards, Raymond decided not to use them.
He had just gotten the Giant’s Body talent, and he wasn’t used to the strength of his new body yet. If he rushed into training the Holy Hall Body-Tempering Technique, it would probably only make things worse.
Raymond glanced at his info panel. Black Iron Stage, Level 17.
He pushed open the door and walked straight toward the training ground. "I need to get used to the power this body gives me as fast as possible. Maybe I can go test myself against Captain Hal and the others!"
