The scene left the junior guards completely stunned.

They had been expecting to see Raymond get beaten up and humiliated by Bucky.

But instead, it was Bucky who ended up looking like a fool.Full novel: Tricked Into the Dungeon? I Get Stronger by Taking Prisoners' Powers! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Feeling everyone’s eyes on him, Bucky’s face burned with shame.

A Level 8 fighter getting bullied by a Level 5 Raymond? How could he take that?

"You’re asking for it!" Bucky roared. He pulled out his longsword and swung it straight at Raymond’s head.

The blade cut through the air with a sharp whoosh, about to land right on Raymond’s skull.

But Raymond didn’t even get up from his chair. He just flicked his wrist, and the scabbard smacked against Bucky’s wrist.

A powerful shock ran through Bucky’s arm, making it go numb. The longsword slipped out of his hand and landed right in a bucket of water nearby.

Bucky stumbled back a couple of steps, his face full of disbelief. "That’s impossible! How are you that fast?"

Raymond stood up and stepped right in front of Bucky. "You’re just too slow!"

Before the words even finished, Raymond’s fist-big as a rock-slammed into Bucky’s face, knocking him flat on the ground.

At that moment, the entire guard hall went dead silent.

Bucky was a Level 8 fighter. First, Raymond dumped trash all over him. Then he knocked the sword out of his hand. Now, he was lying on the floor with one punch. It was insane.

And on top of that, Raymond had been fighting with just the scabbard the whole time. He never even pulled out the longsword.

Was this really the same Raymond they’d heard about-the useless guy who hadn’t even learned Basic Swordplay?

Bucky lay on the ground, his face a mix of shock and rage.

"I’ll kill you!" he roared, furious and humiliated. He grabbed the longsword from the bucket again and lunged at Raymond.

Raymond stepped back just enough. When the sword was only about four inches from his face, he kicked Bucky square in the chest.

Thud!

Bucky flew backward and slammed hard onto the floor.

Raymond kicked the longsword away, then stepped over and straddled Bucky’s back.

He grabbed Bucky by the hair, lifted his head, and slammed it against the floor.

Thud!

The junior guards around them wanted to help.

But after seeing how brutal Raymond was, their feet felt like they were nailed to the ground. Nobody dared to move.

"Now," Raymond said, lifting Bucky’s head again, "who’s going to wipe the tables?"

Bucky’s face was covered in blood. His eyes were full of shock and fear. "I will! Just stop hitting me!"

Thud!

Raymond slammed Bucky’s head into the floor again, then lifted it back up. "And who’s scrubbing the toilets?"

"I will! I’ll scrub every toilet on this floor! I’ll make them shine!" Bucky begged, over and over.

Thud!

Raymond turned and looked at the other guards with a smile. "And who’s going to take out their trash, polish their shoes, and organize their files?"

Bucky was shaking all over. He kept pleading. "Me! I’ll do it all! From now on, Raymond is my boss! I’ll take care of every single chore on the night shift for you!"

Bucky’s voice was cracking, almost like he was about to cry.

He was genuinely terrified now. Raymond’s strength was way beyond what he could handle.

Damn it-the records in the junior guard files had to be fake!

Raymond stood up, dusted himself off, and looked at the other guards. "Clean him up a bit. Then make sure he finishes every job he just promised to do."

Raymond’s voice was calm, with no emotion in it at all.

That only made the junior guards around him even more scared.

The ones who had been loudest mocking him earlier were now keeping their heads down, too terrified to make a sound. They were all afraid Raymond would come after them next.

Raymond glanced around the hall. His eyes landed on a filing cabinet in the corner.

He grabbed a folder from it. Inside were pages full of information about the prisoners-names, power levels, skills, and the crimes they had committed. Everything was there.

For the rest of the shift, he kept an eye on the junior guards as they worked, while reading through the files of the prisoners on this floor.

The guard hall where Raymond worked was on the first underground level of Abyss Prison.

There were about fifty prisoners locked up on this floor.

Most of them were foreign spies. The rest were vicious criminals. Every single one of them was at the Black Iron Stage.

But what made Raymond’s head hurt was that even the weakest prisoner here was at least Black Iron Stage 13. There was no way he could mess with them at his current level.

He looked up at Bucky, who was busy working, and shook his head.

No wonder the junior guards on the night shift only did cleaning and paperwork. They were just too weak.

Raymond had thought about pulling out a prisoner or two during the night to see if he could turn them into cards.

But he was only Level 10 now. He couldn’t risk getting close to any prisoner.

Just then, the hall door swung open.

A female priest in a white robe walked in. "I need someone to take me to Cell 37."

"What’s your name? What do you need?" Raymond looked her over. She was tall, with fair skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes. But she had a baby face that made her look really cute.

"I’m Barbara, the prison priest. I just got an emergency call from Cell 37. You’d better take me there right now, or I won’t be responsible if someone dies." Barbara said, tossing her medical bag in front of Raymond.

The emblem on her bag was exactly the same as the one on the bag Raymond had used the day before to draw blood from Lorraine.

"Happy to help." Raymond closed the folder, picked up Barbara’s medical bag, and headed for the door.

"Hey, slow down! Wait for me!" Barbara hurried to catch up.

"The prisoner’s condition is urgent!" Raymond said, with a straight face.

A prisoner was sick? This was great news!

Sick prisoners? Raymond wasn’t afraid at all!

He was just about to question them - maybe he could log them in as cards.

In the dim hallway.

Raymond and Barbara walked side by side.

They arrived at the door of Cell 37 and found a girl lying on the ground, covered in cold sweat.

Suddenly, Raymond felt a few familiar pairs of eyes lock onto him.

He turned his head quickly and saw those exotic women who had tried to seduce him yesterday - now also slumped in a corner, their faces full of pain.

"What’s wrong with them?" Raymond asked, confused.

Barbara didn’t answer right away.

She first lit a glowing stone.

Once the light shone into the cell, she began to observe the prisoners inside.

Lying in Cell 37 was a cat-eared half-beast.

Barbara noticed that this half-beast, along with other girls in nearby cells, had red blotches all over their bodies.

She straightened up and said seriously, "It’s black fever. A common plague in prisons. It’s contagious."

Barbara took out three syringes and handed them to Raymond. "Help me draw blood. Don’t touch their skin."

Raymond nodded and walked straight up to Cell 37. "Come out. Blood test."

Watching the cat-eared half-beast stumble out, Raymond felt deeply grateful to Hal.

If he had slept with these women yesterday, he might have been infected too!

The cat-eared half-beast cooperated. Raymond pricked her fingertip with a needle, and blood slowly filled the syringe.

When the syringe was full, Raymond let go and sent the half-beast back.

At the same time, a new message appeared in Raymond’s empty space:

- [Ding-dong. Detected host inflicting cruel punishment on a sinner. Sin Lottery System has successfully logged in a new sinner’s information.]

Just as he thought.

Punishing prisoners also works to log them in as sinner cards.

Raymond turned his head and saw a new sinner card appear next to Lorraine’s card.

[Sinner: Samantha]

[Race: Half-Beast (Feline)]

[Power Level: Black Iron Stage, Level 16]

[Status: Serving Sentence]

[Crime: Unknown - requires 100 Guard Contribution Points to unlock]

[Guard Contribution Points: 5 (The higher the number, the better the chance of drawing high-value rewards)

[Available Draws: 0 (23:59:15 remaining until +1 draw)

...

This half-beast was actually at Black Iron Stage, Level 16!

He had heard that feline half-beasts had far better physical abilities than normal humans - especially their reflexes, which were 3 to 5 times faster.

The system could even give out treasures like experience cards. Who knows - maybe in the future, he could pull a racial talent from Samantha.

Wait!

The two cells across from him held a giantess and a mermaid.

Both of those races also had talents that were better than humans.

And their strength levels were pretty high too...

He had to take advantage of the fact that these girls were sick with black fever and weak - log them all in as sinner cards!
