"Raymond," Lukas said with a bright smile on his face.

But Raymond’s anger did not abate even after he was called.

Planted in his chest was Tencent’s lightning-infused fist.Full novel: Trickster God In Another World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

But the fist could barely make Raymond budge. Even his clothes were not shaken by the force of the punch.

But that did not stop the lightning from rolling through his body. The effect though, was the same.

"Hey, why did you send that message?" Raymond asked, turning back to look at Lukas.

His left eye blazed with a blue light that seemed to devour normal light.

To his question, Lukas replied with a white set of teeth.

Raymond clicked his tongue as he faced Tencent.

Although he had his questions for Lukas, those could wait.

"Hey, move your hand."

Tencent’s scalp tingled as those words settled in his mind. They were so oppressive that he could not even muster the strength to pull his arm back.

"Are you deaf?" Raymond asked.

What followed was a thick, viscous sound, then the vicious sound of flesh parting.

Tencent’s head rolled through the air, thick crimson liquid accompanying it mid-air.

"I have a load of work piled on my desk, I can’t waste time dealing with you."

[As the one who incited this entire feud, you have gained a large portion of divinity from the Apostle rank awakened being. Fifty divinity gained.]

Lukas stared at the sudden prompt from the system.

But there was no time for him to read it.

A loud explosion rang out from his front. The shockwave it released was enough to rip Lukas to pieces.

But he was unaffected. Raymond’s energy shielded him.

"Handle those behind me, I will deal with this girl myself."

The person who had caused the wave was none other than Carmen, the lady who followed Tencent, or the representative of White Tiger gang.

Flames spiralled outward as she manifested her divine power.

It was a miracle that sent streams of flame outward in every direction.

The tiles had begun to melt under the intensity of the heat.

Lukas turned back to the guards who stood frozen from the shock of what was happening.

Not many people were privileged enough to witness awakened beings fighting.

"I don’t have a weapon," Lukas replied.

His response made Raymond click his tongue. I wonder what you planned to do here if you don’t have a weapon."

As he spoke, he threw a pistol at Lukas.

Lukas caught it and rose from his knees in the same motion.

"Thanks," he said, twisting as he fired a shot into the skull of one of the guards.

As the bullet pierced through the head of the human, Lukas expected to feel something. It was his first time killing a human, after all.

’Why am I still calm after killing someone?’

Before he could gather his thoughts, the guards were already over him.

One of them held a dagger, thrusting it towards Lukas’s neck.

Lukas ducked beneath the attack, the attacker’s jaw exposed from his position.

He did not hesitate to fire a bullet into the jaw.

A loud bang echoed, followed by the slow drip of blood.

Boom.

Lukas was thrown back, his body smashing onto the wall.

He coughed out blood from the impact.

"I should have stayed away from them," he mused, staring at Raymond and Carmen.

"You know I can kill you instantly," Raymond said to her.

Carmen rolled her eyes, gripping the spear in her hand tighter. "You can’t, after all, you will risk killing the man over there."

Raymond smiled. "Very well."

In a blink, Raymond appeared in front of Carmen, his dagger ripping through the very fabric of space as he thrust toward her neck.

Carmen grunted as she pushed her body to its limits. Flames erupted from her frame as she caught the dagger with the tip of her spear.

The world seemed to lag in the next second, as if time had been held back by a divine force.

Then everything caught up, flames rolling out. The warehouse exploded as flames burst through its walls.

There was no need for Lukas to handle the guards anymore.

He had barely killed two before the flames swallowed them whole.

Lukas was left hanging in a thin thread.

His body was completely wrecked by the heat of the flames.

Bones began to appear as their outer layer of skin was peeled off.

"This stupid boy," Raymond groaned as he saw Lukas’s condition.

He lunged forward, at Carmen.

No.

He stepped through space. Carmen could only stare in disbelief as the dagger pierced through her heart.

A soft, wet sound followed as her heart was pierced.

"What were you saying?" Raymond asked, a grin tugging at his lips. He seemed to be enjoying the situation.

Blood seeped down the side of Carmen’s lips, trickling down till it touched her white shirt.

"I would rather die with you," she yelled.

"I am sorry, but that would not happen," Raymond said, mockingly.

Then he pulled.

"What is this?" he muttered, his pupils dilating.

He pulled again, but his dagger did not budge.

"Here, I would destroy you here," she yelled, her maddening voice sounding like a shriek.

She began to swell, red markings appearing all over her.

Raymond left the dagger, reappearing a short distance away from that spot.

Then he raised a palm. "Isolation Field."

A bubble wrapped around her body at the last moment, containing all her explosion without causing a ripple.

Raymond stared at that spot for a moment before he released the miracle.

"No..." Raymond’s eyes widened as he felt the sudden change in the atmosphere.

The searing heat was reduced to a pale cold that sent a shiver up Raymond’s spine.

The corpses on the floor began to twitch. Even though they were only battered flesh, they all began to gather.
