Lukas stared at the status screen that appeared in his gaze. His eyes however, were only on one section.

[Divine Power: 90]

"Hey, system, can I survive this?" he asked, his voice weak and low.Full novel: Trickster God In Another World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Another panel formed before him.

[Yes, divine power can restore the body of anyone.]

[Although normal followers can only access this at Apostle rank, it is available to a god at any time.]

Lukas read the screen, his mind slowly digesting the words.

He saw a glimmer of hope in them.

’So, how do I do it?’ he asked in thought.

His mouth seemed to have given up after those first words.

[You can control your divine energy slowly, or just speak to your god system.]

’Why would I go for a slow approach when there is a faster one?’ Lukas wondered, his mind, almost laughing.

[That’s what other followers do. They are not gods, so they don’t possess a god system.]

’Fair,’ Lukas thought before facing the god system on the right.

’Heal me.’

The system’s interface switched, showing the image of a body.

It was none other than Lukas’s.

The main body was marked blue, and the places with injuries were marked red.

’Wow, so the only place without injury here is my pinky?’ he mused, almost shaking his head at the absurdity.

But he could not do such a thing with the current state of his body.

[Divine energy cost to repair the god’s divine body: 83]

’Just do it,’ Lukas thought, trying his best to look away from the cost.

After witnessing the difficulty of gaining divine energy, his eyes watered.

The divine energy the system had given him at the start did not feel small anymore.

The system accepted the energy, leaving Lukas with 7 points of divine energy.

’Survival comes first, I guess,’ he mused as golden specks of light began emanating from his body.

The lights began moving through every part of his body, settling in each injury for less than a second before they continued flowing.

For every part it stopped on, the injury began to heal.

Bones began to grow from no visible source, and flesh began to roll out from torn parts.

Lukas felt all the strength he had lost begin to return. The feeling was warm and gold at the same time, a paradoxical reaction that was oddly relaxing.

His leg leg which had been torn apart began to regrow anew, from the smallest cell, to the longest bones.

Everything began to glue together, until it was fully reattached, as if nothing had happened to it before.

Slowly, Lukas dragged himself up. Even though he was fully healed, his mind was still slightly tired.

Looking around, his brows knitted together. Debris from splintered wood and metal was scattered around.

The cold breeze blew against his skin, alerting Lukas to his now torn clothes.

He covered his body with his palm, only managing to block the cold slightly.

His eyes shifted into the sky, far from where he stood. ’They are so fast,’ he thought, barely able to follow the fighters in the sky.

The only evidence of their clash was the shockwaves that threatened to rip through existence itself.

"What rank are they?" Lukas did not know when those words fell from his mouth, but he could not be bothered to think about it, as in the next second, space began to groan from all sides.

As if space had gained a physical manifestation, everything began to surge towards Raymond, condensing into a ball.

[You have gained 500 divine energy.]

The system’s prompt was what brought Lukas out of his daze.

But even after that, his attention did not leave the sky.

"What is that?" he muttered, looking at the body of crimson mist that suddenly appeared in front of Raymond.

"How are you healed?" he suddenly heard from behind him.

Lukas turned to look at the person who had spoken.

Then his gaze shifted to the sky again, then back at the person.

"How?"

Raymond had just been talking to a crimson mist, Lukas was sure of it.

How had he suddenly appeared behind him?

Raymond did not reply to his confusion, he only scrutinized Lukas.

"I was able to guide the divine energy in my body to heal myself," Lukas replied.

This only made Raymond squint tighter.

"Do you know that the only way for someone to gain divine energy is by killing beings that possess divine energy, or killing voidborns?"

The question made Lukas flinch slightly. ’Why is he suddenly talking about this?’ he wondered.

But he nodded.

"When I came into this place, you did not have any divine energy, I could sense how empty you were. So how did you suddenly have enough to heal yourself?"

’Fuck!’ Lukas cursed internally. ’System, why didn’t you tell me it was possible to sense divine energy?’

[You never asked me.]

Lukas rolled his eyes at the reply he got, but that did not change anything.

Raymond’s piercing gaze was still fixed hard on him.

"I am a trickster god, you don’t expect me to lay all my cards on the table," Lukas said with a wink.

But internally, he was sweating.

He could only pray to whatever god in the sky that Raymond believed what he said.

Ironic, right? A god praying to another god to survive a situation.

But the gamble seemed to work.

"You can’t lay all your tricks, but all your balls?"

The words made Lukas remember he was naked.

He quickly covered himself with his hand.

"Sorry about that," he muttered.

Raymond nodded. "I have a spare suit," he said, a blue light flickering on his palm.

As the light died, a neatly ironed black suit appeared on his palm.

"Thank you," Lukas said, collecting the suit.

"We are going to my office. You need to explain what you were thinking, and that message you sent to me."

"That was a joke, you don’t need to think about it."

Raymond furrowed his brows, then nodded. "All of these also need to be explained."
