The sliding door rattled along its cheap plastic track, breaking the silence of the dimly lit room.

Steam billowed out from the hallway, carrying the scent of damp skin and the faint, floral notes of Kenji’s cheap drugstore soap. Tsunade stepped into the main room, completely unbothered by her nakedness. The flickering neon light from the street below cast long, dramatic shadows across her towering, hourglass figure.

Kenji sat rigid on the edge of the three-foot-wide futon, his eyes glued to the floorboards. He didn't dare look up. He could hear the heavy, wet squeak of her bare feet against the tatami mats, feeling the floor dip slightly under her formidable weight as she approached.Full novel: Tsunade Senju Is My Stepmom — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

"Move," she commanded, her voice raspy and exhausted.

Kenji practically threw himself against the icy plaster of the wall, giving her as much of the miserable little mattress as he could.

Tsunade let out a sharp scoff, dropping heavily onto the futon. The thin mattress instantly surrendered, flattening beneath her. She grabbed the edge of Kenji's single, threadbare blanket and yanked it over herself. It was woefully inadequate, barely covering her chest and midriff, leaving her thick, muscular thighs exposed to the chilled air of the apartment.

"Lay down, brat," she ordered, turning her back to him. "The system said we have to share the bed to stabilize my chakra. I can already feel a headache splitting my skull. Do not make me tell you twice."

Kenji swallowed hard. He slowly lowered himself onto his side, facing her broad, flawless back. The futon was so incredibly narrow that even with him pressed flat against the wall, his knees were brushing against the backs of her thick thighs.

Tsunade shivered. Without her massive chakra reserves pulsing through her coils to regulate her body temperature, the damp Tokyo night was freezing.

"You're shaking," she muttered, glancing over her shoulder. Her golden-blonde hair was damp, clinging to her neck.

"I'm fine," Kenji lied, his teeth practically chattering.

Tsunade let out a long, frustrated breath. With a sudden, fluid motion, she rolled over to face him. The blanket slipped, offering Kenji a heart-stopping view of her colossal, heavy breasts spilling out from beneath the fabric, their pale curves pressing flush together in the center.

Before he could react, she reached out, grabbing him by the front of his uniform shirt, and yanked him forward.

"W-Wait!" Kenji gasped.

"Shut up and stop fighting me," she growled, her tone leaving zero room for argument.

She pulled him flush against her body. Kenji’s breath hitched violently in his throat. There was no space between them. The sheer, overwhelming heat radiating off her bare skin was intoxicating. Her impossibly soft, heavy breasts squished flat against his chest, the hardened peaks brushing agonizingly through the thin cotton of his shirt. Her thick thighs tangled with his legs, locking him in place.

She threw the meager blanket over both of them, burying her face into the crook of his neck to steal his body heat.

"Just go to sleep," she whispered, her breath hot against his collarbone.

Kenji was paralyzed. His entire body was on fire. He was sharing a bed—sharing body heat—with a naked, impossibly beautiful woman whose sheer proportions were threatening to short-circuit his nervous system.

But as the minutes ticked by, the crushing physical tension slowly began to morph.

The rain continued to patter against the cheap windowpane. In the distance, a police siren wailed, followed by the low rumble of a midnight freight train. The sounds were metallic, harsh, and utterly alien.

Tsunade wasn't asleep. Kenji could feel her heart beating steadily against his ribs. It was a heavy, rhythmic thump.

"It's loud here," Tsunade spoke softly, her voice devoid of its usual aggressive bark. It sounded small. Vulnerable.

"Tokyo is never really quiet," Kenji replied, his voice barely a whisper, afraid to break the fragile peace between them.

"Metal carriages. Buildings that touch the clouds. No trees. No nature energy." She shifted slightly, her heavy chest sliding agonizingly against his, though the movement was unconscious. "I was sitting in the Hokage's office. Shizune was lecturing me about the village budget. I blinked... and I was here."

She went silent. Kenji felt a strange tightness in his chest that had nothing to do with arousal. He could hear the profound, terrifying isolation in her words. She was the leader of a military village, a woman who carried the weight of thousands of lives on her shoulders. Now, she was stripped of her power, stranded in a dingy four-tatami-mat room in a universe that didn't even have a name for chakra.

"Do you... miss it?" Kenji asked hesitantly.

Tsunade let out a dry, bitter chuckle. "I spent most of my life running away from that village. From the memories. But the moment I finally accepted the hat, the moment I finally decided to protect it..." She trailed off, her grip on his shirt tightening slightly. "And now I'm here. Tethered to a boy I don't even know. If this... system... doesn't give me a way back, they'll think I abandoned them again."

Kenji didn't know what to say. He was just a pizza delivery boy. He didn't know anything about leading nations or fighting wars.

But he knew about being left behind.

"I'm sorry," Kenji said softly.

Tsunade tilted her head up, her amber eyes catching the faint neon light from the window. She looked at him, searching his face. "Why are you apologizing, brat? You didn't build the machine."

"No, but... I know what it feels like to have your whole world ripped away and to wake up completely alone." Kenji looked up at the water-stained ceiling. "My parents died in a car accident when I was ten. I got bounced around foster homes, but mostly, I've just been on my own. I work ten hours a day, come back to this freezing room, eat cheap noodles, and go to sleep. Every day. It's... it's really lonely."

Tsunade stared at him. The hardened, cynical walls she usually kept fortified around her heart wavered.

She looked at his bruised knuckles from working all day, the dark circles under his eyes, the hollow thinness of his cheeks. He wasn't some arrogant Shinobi seeking glory. He was just a kid trying to survive in a cold, concrete village that didn't care if he lived or died.

It reminded her too much of Nawaki. It reminded her of the countless orphans she had treated in the medical tents during the war.

Tsunade’s gaze softened. The terrifying, overbearing aura of the Fifth Hokage melted away, leaving behind the deeply compassionate healer.

"You're a tough kid, Kenji," she murmured, her voice surprisingly gentle.

She shifted her weight, rolling slightly onto her back and pulling him with her. Before Kenji could protest, she guided his head down, pressing his cheek directly into the impossibly deep, soft ravine of her bare cleavage.

Kenji’s eyes went wide. "T-Tsunade-san?"

"Quiet," she commanded softly, though there was no anger in it. She wrapped a slender, powerful arm around his shoulders, holding him securely against the plush, overwhelming mass of her chest. Her other hand moved up, her fingers gently threading through his damp hair. "If I'm supposed to be your stepmom for now... the least I can do is make sure you aren't shivering."

Kenji’s face was completely buried in her heavy, yielding flesh. The scent of her skin, the rhythmic, soothing beat of her heart, and the gentle stroke of her fingers in his hair... it completely shattered him.

For the first time in ten years, he wasn't alone in the dark.

He didn't realize he was crying until he felt the hot tears soaking into the side of her heavy breast. He squeezed his eyes shut, wrapping his arms gingerly around her waist, burying his face deeper into her warmth.

Tsunade didn't tease him. She didn't call him a pervert. She simply held him tighter, resting her chin on the top of his head as the freezing Tokyo rain battered the window.

"Get some sleep, Kenji," she whispered, her thumb brushing against his temple. "We'll figure this out tomorrow."

On the floor next to the futon, the black phone lit up silently.
