Nighttime.
An army camp was stationed in a silent, secluded valley.
Soldiers gathered around a crackling campfire, casting meaningful glances toward a specific tent with ambiguous smiles.
Candlelight flickered against the canvas, casting two shadows deeply intertwined, adding a touch of romance and seduction to the wilderness.
“Mmh…”
Chi Ying was overwhelmed by an unfamiliar heat. A sensation like tiny electric currents crawled across his skin, causing him to curl his toes involuntarily and open his flushed, hazy eyes.
To his shock, he suddenly found himself locked in a gaze with a pair of silver pupils. He panicked and tried to sit up, but the man firmly pinned him down, leaving him entirely unable to escape.
“Don’t move!”
The man’s voice was deep and husky. The strong scent of alcohol lingering in the air made Chi Ying’s hazy consciousness drift even further.
He surprisingly felt a sense of submission and reliance welling up toward the man above him.
This intensely humiliating thought caused a buzzing in his brain. He swung his fist toward the man’s face, only for it to be blocked with effortless ease.
“Get away…”
His voice was hoarse and weak, sounding less like a scold and more like a spoiled plea.
The man’s sweat-slicked, handsome face paused, looking somewhat surprised.
Omegas had always been extremely submissive and usually wouldn’t even dare to speak loudly, let alone resort to hitting someone.
After pondering for a moment with lowered eyes, as if realizing something, the man asked in a raspy voice, “Omega, did I hurt you?”
He shouldn’t have asked. At those words, Chi Ying instantly flew into a rage.
“Go to hell—!”
He instantly transformed into a berserk warrior, forcefully wrenching his gripped hand free and throwing another punch at the man’s face, only to be stopped once more.
Seeing his attacks blocked twice in a row, Chi Ying grew furious out of embarrassment. “Bastard! Asshole! Let go of me!”
Hearing his crude language, a flash of displeasure crossed the man’s face, though there was no real reprimand in it.
“I’d love to, but I can’t manage that right now… Or would you like to try?”
“What kind of nonsense are you barking!”
Chi Ying rebuked the man, pushing against his sweat-slicked chest and abdomen. After a few attempts, his eyes widened in horror, and his voice trembled:
“What—what did you do to me?”
Watching the omega’s cicada-wing-like eyelashes flutter continuously in panic stirred the protective instincts ingrained deep within an alpha marker.
Huo Shiyan instinctively released a comforting pheromone, gently wrapping it around Chi Ying’s entire body to help ease his pain.
“Don’t be afraid. It’ll be over soon…”
A flash of darkness crossed the depths of Huo Shiyan’s eyes as he clumsily patted Chi Ying’s back, trying to help the tense person relax.
Suddenly.
His mental energy leaked out of control. A wave of violent pain forced a muffled grunt from his throat, and he clutched his forehead, hissing through his teeth:
“Omega, since you’re awake, give me a mental guidance session right now.”
“Omega…? Guidance…?”
Immersed in the soothing pheromones, Chi Ying felt lightheaded. His usually sharp mind became foggy, and he stared blankly at the man.
“You don’t know how?”
Displeasure written across his face, Huo Shiyan brushed back his sweat-dampened short black hair. The bulging veins on his forehead made it clear that his patience had run out.
On second thought, it made sense.
An omega wandering alone in the wasteland probably struggled just to get enough to eat every day; how could they ever have had the chance to learn such things?
A flash of helplessness crossed Huo Shiyan’s face. If an emergency hadn’t triggered him into entering his rut early today, he wouldn’t have settled for just any random omega.
In this dangerous wasteland, besides fighting mutant beasts, one also had to be on guard against human factions. He simply couldn’t afford to drag this out any longer.
“Since you don’t know, release your pheromones and follow my instructions.”
“Pheromones…?” Before Chi Ying could fully recover his wits, strong arms hoisted him up, seating him face-to-face on the man’s lap.
The scorching breath rushing toward him, mingled with the potent scent of a male amid heavy exertion, aggressively invaded his senses…
Looking at the man mere inches away, an overwhelming sense of shame hit him like a physical blow, instantly clearing Chi Ying’s mind and leaving his head buzzing!
Damn it!
This bastard was actually trying to violate him!
Chi Ying raised his hand and struck, a sharp slap echoing inside the tent. The blow knocked the desire-dazedly man’s head to the side, halting his wild movements.
It took a moment for Huo Shiyan to process the reality of being slapped. His handsome face immediately darkened. “You’re courting death!”
As the young marshal of the Huo Legion and a favored son of the heavens since childhood, no one had ever dared treat him this way. This stray omega had completely lost his mind!
The more Huo Shiyan thought about it, the angrier he grew. Unable to suppress his temper after several attempts at restraint, he grabbed Chi Ying’s wrist and gave it a violent twist.
With a crisp click of a joint, Chi Ying’s wrist suddenly dislocated, the sharp pain bringing tears to the corners of his eyes.
“You freak, I’ll kill you!!”
Chi Ying struck out with his other hand, but the man was already prepared. How could he fall for the same trick twice?
The next second.
He was subdued once more.
“Bastard!”
Furious and in pain yet utterly helpless, Chi Ying could do nothing but glare with bitter hatred.
Huo Shiyan’s silver eyes flashed with a cold glint as he let out a disdainful, soft chuckle:
“Weren’t you just throwing yourself at me, offering to provide mental guidance and begging me to take you back to the base? Why are you suddenly acting like a pure virgin!”
What base?
What virgin?!
What on earth was this guy talking about?!
He couldn’t understand a single word!
Chi Ying only remembered falling asleep in his dorm, followed by a violent tremor—it must have been an earthquake…
Looking around the interior of the tent, it was clear someone had rescued him, yet this man had taken advantage of his vulnerability.
At that thought,
Chi Ying felt a surge of uncontrollable rage. He kicked his legs, trying to break free, and cursed:
“You horny stray dog! Open your eyes and look properly—I’m a man!!”
Huo Shiyan looked at the omega, full of disdain as he sneered:
“You really are just a lowly stray. An omega is an omega; male or female, there’s no difference. You don’t even know that much?”
Just how backward was this village anyway?
The word ‘omega’ appeared once more, sending a flash of lightning through Chi Ying’s mind as a flood of memories that didn’t belong to him forcefully squeezed into his brain—
He had transmigrated into a book!
He had actually transmigrated into the BL novel he had complained about right before the earthquake: ABO Wasteland XXOO: A Happy and Harmonious HE.
Just looking at the title, you could tell it wasn’t serious. According to his idiot roommate, he had picked it up on some online platform.
Aside from steamy scenes in every single chapter, there was hardly any serious plot; 90% of the content was basically censored.
Even so, his wildly eccentric roommate read it every single day and night. Just reading it wasn’t enough; he even downloaded an audio player to listen to it!
And he played it out loud!
As a proud, straight man, having to suffer this kind of daily torture meant he finally reached his limit and muttered a few complaints… right before an earthquake caused him to lose consciousness.
And so, he had transmigrated like this, and ended up as some sort of omega?!
This was completely absurd!
Seeing the omega space out before him, Huo Shiyan pushed him back down onto the bed, grabbed his chin, and said coldly:
“What are you zoning out for?”
Hearing the man’s voice, Chi Ying snapped back to reality and studied the man in front of him.
He had a tall, robust build with tightly-knit, powerful muscles. This kind of guy must be an alpha, right?
Although he hadn’t read the whole book, having been forced to listen to it, he still knew a thing or two about the characters.
Catching sight of the mighty wolf head tattoo on the man’s solid chest, combined with his unique silver pupils…
It instantly reminded him of a character from the novel—the sole heir to the Huo Corporation and the young marshal of the Huo Legion:
Huo Shiyan.
This person was terrifyingly ruthless, handling matters with vicious cruelty. He killed people as easily as slicing vegetables and was skilled at manipulating human hearts—a true overlord of his era.
“Mmph-ah~”
Dissatisfied, Huo Shiyan leaned down, burying his face into the crook of Chi Ying’s neck to inhale the calming pheromones.
Plum blossom scent.
He was quite satisfied with this fragrance.
“Stop dawdling and give me mental guidance!”
Chi Ying felt like crying. He really wanted to curse right now.
However, meeting the man’s icy gaze, his survival instincts kicked in, forcing him to compromise: “I—I don’t know how… Please let me go!”
For now, he’d just treat it like getting bitten by a dog; saving his life came first!
Seeing the stubborn little cat beneath him retract its bared teeth and claws, this obedient posture was actually quite appealing.
Huo Shiyan’s anger subsided slightly. His thumb brushed across Chi Ying’s smooth jawline as the corner of his mouth curved upward:
“You can learn. Since you don’t know anything, we might as well cover the physiological lessons together.”
“???!l”
“I’ll teach you personally.”
“…”
