Suho complained as he lifted the huge suitcase onto the bus and placed it in the open space near the middle door. After putting it down, he rolled his shoulders a little. The thing was ridiculously heavy; even with his strength, lifting it had taken some effort.
"Yes... my whole house. There’s also a cow inside, and it will poop on your head if you don’t shut your mouth."
Yoona rolled her eyes and sat down on a nearby seat with a huff. Hearing her answer, Suho simply shook his head and walked toward the back of the bus. There were only about six people on the entire bus, including the driver.
She’s as rude as usual. That’s good.
After hearing that her father was sick, Suho had decided to help her with the suitcase. Seeing that she was still acting like her usual self made him smile a little, which meant she probably wasn’t too worried about her father. He walked all the way to the back of the bus and took a window seat in the second-to-last row, just in front of the final row of seats. Once he sat down, he pulled out his phone to check his current bank account balance.

The screen instantly changed. The glowing panel in front of him shortened, leaving only the two skills he wanted to collect. Suho pressed the ’Get the Rewards’ button, and two completely different sets of memories instantly entered his head.
The first one was driving. He saw himself driving almost every kind of civilian vehicle and heavy machine imaginable. In one memory, he was in India driving a massive lorry; in another, he was in the USA operating a huge combine harvester; and in another, he was in Lagos, Nigeria, driving one of the famous yellow Danfo minibuses through the crowded streets.
I even know the names of all these vehicles now... damn!
Then, a few seconds later, the second set of memories hit him. It was almost the same as before, except this time, all those vehicles were damaged, and he was repairing them one after another. From changing tires and fixing brakes to taking apart engines and putting them back together, he felt as if he had just repaired every vehicle in the world.
Okay... sigh! Now I know what that Genesis GV80 is...
Suho had wanted to search for what the reward actually was, but he didn’t need to anymore. In those new memories, he had already driven one and even repaired it. It was a large luxury SUV from Genesis, Hyundai’s luxury brand. Suho’s eyes widened slightly.
How will it appear, though? Like that USB?
Suho wondered if the car would simply appear out of nowhere, just like the silver USB containing Ex-Director Seyeon’s Crime Ledger and all the evidence of his crimes had appeared directly in his hand.

Suho was slightly surprised when the announcement came. He pulled out his new phone and checked the time, only to realize that it was already 8:35 and they were about to reach Guri Station.
When he finally looked up and outside, the familiar rural area was gone, replaced by an urban jungle. Shops covered both sides of the street, from big brands with bright signs to small local stores squeezed between buildings. Cars, buses, and delivery trucks filled the road, while people crowded the sidewalks so much that Suho could barely see any empty space between them.
Some were walking quickly, some were running, others were waiting at crossings, and even the entrances of stores were packed. Suho was used to quiet roads with barely anyone around, so seeing this many people in one place made the whole area feel strangely cramped.
"Y... Young man."
As Suho was about to get up, he saw an elderly woman slowly walking toward him with a cane while the bus was still moving. Suho was a little surprised, but he quickly stood up and held her arm, afraid that she might lose her balance and fall.
"What are you doing, ma’am?"
"I am here on behalf of that young lady..."
The elderly woman pointed her cane toward Yoona while Suho continued holding her arm firmly so she wouldn’t lose her balance. Yoona, who was looking at him from across the bus, suddenly made a pleading face as if asking for forgiveness. She even pressed her palms together in front of her chest, silently begging him, which only confused Suho even more.
"Your girlfriend... I know she made you angry, but that’s no way to treat a young lady like that. Forgive her and help her with that huge suitcase."

She angrily slapped away Suho’s hand, which had been holding her steady, and instantly lost her balance. Suho instinctively grabbed her arm again and helped her regain her footing.
"She’s so cute, and you still refuse to help her... Look at me, I’m like your grandma. Help her for my sake and forgive her..."
The elderly woman simply refused to believe that Suho wasn’t Yoona’s boyfriend. She even brought her own age into it just to convince him. In Korea, like in many parts of Asia, elders were usually treated with great respect, so once she asked him to do it for her sake, refusing her became much harder.
Damn it... what kind of magic trick did she use...
Suho gritted his teeth in annoyance when he saw Yoona smiling at him and sticking out her pink tongue. She had always been like this, almost the complete opposite of him. She loved causing trouble for herself and everyone around her. That was why, even after knowing each other for more than a decade and sitting beside each other since childhood, the two of them still couldn’t really be called friends.
