"Here you go, young master... All the papers are signed, and you are officially a tenant now. This is my bank account information. Transfer ₩14,860,000 ($10,400) to it."

Suho sighed. He transferred the exact ₩14,860,000 ($10,400) to Jihwan’s account, and immediately afterward, he checked his current account balance.

[Current Balance: ₩242,925,600 ($170,048)]

Alright, now I’m hungry... What should I eat? This is my first meal ever outside the orphanage. Should I buy rice or meat, maybe?

Suho took his papers. Jihwan was kind enough to put them inside a waterproof zip-lock document bag so Suho wouldn’t accidentally damage them, and he even walked him out of the office.

Along with the apartment access information, Jihwan gave him a resident access card for the building, the temporary PIN for his apartment door so he could change it later, and a small mailbox key. He also explained that the access card would open the main entrance and allow him to use the residential elevators without needing security to let him through every time.

"I’ll let the landlord know everything is finished. Mr. Kim, it was a pleasure doing business with you. And if you ever become super successful, or find someone interested in buying a house, remember that I sell houses all over Seoul too. Hit me up. If you bring me a buyer, I’ll even give you some commission. Your next rent will be due after these two months are over."

"Alright."

Suho nodded his head before deciding to walk around the neighborhood for a while. He was hungry, and it was already around lunchtime. Usually, back at the orphanage, lunch would be something simple like rice, kimchi, a bowl of doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew), and maybe an egg or some vegetables if they had enough.

After eating, he would spend almost the entire evening reading until dinner, then continue studying until late at night before helping tuck Mina into bed and finally going to sleep himself. But now, standing alone in Seoul with money in his account and no one waiting to tell him what he needed to do next, he suddenly felt like he had no objective or responsibility for the rest of the day other than simply being himself.

As he walked farther down the street, Suho eventually reached a much busier commercial street. Restaurants, cafés, clothing stores, and other shops filled both sides of the road, while groups of young people moved between them.

Almost everyone looked young, and overdressed was probably the most modest way Suho could describe them. Some looked like they were going to a fashion show instead of simply coming out for lunch. There were even a few expensive sports cars parked along the street between the normal cars.

*DING*

Just then, his phone buzzed. Suho pulled it out and saw a message from his bank reminding him that if he ever needed a loan or a checkbook, he could visit one of their branches. Suho ignored the advertisement, but it still felt nice just looking at the display of his new phone.

Everything looked much brighter and sharper compared to his old one. Speaking of his old phone, Suho suddenly remembered that he had left it back at the apartment. Just as he was about to put his new phone back into his pocket, another message appeared.

[Haein: Oppa, where are you?]

Damn! This girl is persistent. I think I might’ve given her the wrong impression while I was drunk. Let’s clear it up.

Suho looked up and saw the entrance to Nakseongdae Station not far ahead, its large subway sign standing beside the main road as people constantly moved in and out. Only one small side street separated the station area from the more luxurious commercial street he had just walked through, where cafés, restaurants, fashion stores, and expensive cars filled both sides of the road.

[Kim Suho: I’m on Nambusunhwan-ro, near Nakseongdae Station Exit 4.]

[Haein: Okay, I’m on my way. Don’t move. I don’t even have shoes on.]

What?!

The message that came immediately surprised Suho quite a bit. She wasn’t wearing shoes? What did that have to do with him? Suho sighed and realized that he really didn’t understand girls or rich people in general.

He walked to the side of the road, and the smell of delicious food was filling his nostrils from the nearby restaurants. He was hungry, but since Haein was coming over, he decided to wait for her. After about ten minutes, Suho finally saw Lee Haein rushing toward him like she was running away from someone. She was wearing an orange hoodie with the hood pulled over a cap, and she really wasn’t wearing any shoes.

Her feet are... kind of very pretty? What am I thinking?

"Oppa! Finally, I found you... I bought these clothes nearby and was about to buy shoes too, but they already spotted me before I could. Hide me first, please. Then you can ask questions."

Hearing the fear in her voice, Suho immediately threw the thought of telling her not to call him Oppa out of his mind and nodded his head seriously.
