Don’t recognize him?
Mo Fan couldn’t help but smile, then casually leaned against the railing. “Junior’s memory really isn’t that great. When you were registering as a freshman, I helped point you in the right direction.”
Pointed the way?
Those two words immediately made Su Yanyan remember—someone had indeed pointed her in the right direction on the first day of school.
That day, she had been in a daze, carrying her blanket to the boys’ dormitory building, and someone had reminded her and pointed her the right way. She had been so embarrassed that she hadn’t even lifted her head, just said thanks and ran off with her blanket.
She never expected that the person who had pointed her the way back then was this senior standing before her now.
Before Su Yanyan could speak, Mo Fan continued, “I even asked for your contact information back then, but you just said thanks and ran off without looking back.”
Hearing Mo Fan’s words, Su Yanyan felt very awkward. “Sorry, I was in a hurry back then. Thank you, senior, for pointing me the way.”
“Senior… if there’s nothing else, I… I should get going!”
She hadn’t expected to run into a fellow student just by grabbing breakfast. Thinking about how Uncle would be coming over soon, she was anxious to leave.
Mo Fan looked down at the girl before him and smiled. “My name is Mo Fan. What about you? I can’t just keep calling you ‘junior’ every time we meet, can I?”
Su Yanyan didn’t really want to say, but if it was just a name, refusing to say it would make her seem pretentious.
In the end, she decided to just say it openly. “My name is Su Yanyan.”
Of course Mo Fan already knew the girl’s name, but he still wanted to formally get to know her.
Actually, he had seen her many times around campus, but she seemed to not like talking much, always sticking close to her roommates, so he hadn’t felt comfortable approaching her.
“By the way, can I get your contact information?” Mo Fan asked.
He hadn’t gotten it last time, but surely he could get it this time.
Contact information?
Asking for her name was fine, but giving out her contact information was not.
Su Yanyan frowned, about to refuse.
“Not allowed!”
A deep voice carrying a hint of coldness came from nearby.
Su Yanyan looked up and saw Gu Beichuan walking over with two cups of milk tea in his hands.
For some reason, Su Yanyan’s heart instantly jumped into her throat with nervousness.
The cold voice made Mo Fan turn around immediately, and he saw a tall man exuding an air of noble refinement standing behind him.
The powerful presence radiating from the man made Mo Fan instinctively straighten up from his casual lean against the railing.
In an instant, the two men locked eyes.
In the end, Mo Fan was the one to yield, looking away first and turning his gaze to Su Yanyan.
“Junior Su, who is this to you?” Mo Fan said with a smile, his sunny, handsome face carrying an easy composure.
He didn’t seem at all bothered by having looked away first.
Su Yanyan…
She felt her scalp tingling.
“He…” Just as Su Yanyan was at a loss for how to explain.
Gu Beichuan spoke up first, his voice carrying a hint of coldness. “I’m her guardian!”
After saying that, Gu Beichuan added, “Anything else you’d like to ask?”
The man before him had an incredibly powerful presence. Others might have been intimidated, but Mo Fan just smiled, shrugged, and said generously.
“No, that’s all.”
Gu Beichuan glanced at Su Yanyan, who had her head lowered, then handed her the cup of milk tea. “Drink it.”
For some reason, Su Yanyan felt like Uncle seemed a little angry, so she quickly took the cup.
“Let’s go!” Gu Beichuan glanced at Mo Fan, then reached out and took Su Yanyan’s hand, leading her away from in front of Mo Fan.
“Senior, we’ll be going now.” Su Yanyan hurriedly said a quick goodbye before being led away by the older man.
However, they had only walked a short distance when a voice sounded from behind them.
“Goodbye, Junior Su! Goodbye, Uncle!”
Hearing the word “Uncle,” Gu Beichuan’s figure couldn’t help but pause slightly.
