Who could tell her that coming home required such a grand spectacle?!

This scene was even more extravagant than any of the lavish banquets she’d ever seen on TV.

She instinctively straightened her back, trying not to show any awkwardness, and walked steadily towards the villa.Full novel: Unlimited Black Card! The Mysterious Ultra-Wealthy Heiress! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Jiang Kun quickly followed, considerately opening the heavy, carved wooden door for her, stepping aside to lead the way, while turning to the servants behind him and instructing,

“Miss, you must be tired from your journey. Quickly bring up the prepared food. Remember, keep it light and avoid spicy dishes.”

“Yes, butler,” a servant immediately responded, turning and hurrying towards the kitchen.

Jiang Wenxi followed Jiang Kun into the villa, her gaze unconsciously sweeping over the living room.

The high ceilings, the dazzling crystal chandeliers, the priceless oil paintings, the soft velvet sofas every detail exuded ultimate luxury, yet without feeling ostentatious.

She took a deep breath, trying to calm the turmoil within her.

Chapter N: Her Own Harbor

Jiang Wenxi wasn’t surprised by the thoughtful arrangements and headed straight for the restaurant.

The journey from the airport, coupled with the mental strain of time travel, had left her stomach growling.

The restaurant was in typical European style, with a long solid wood table covered in a creamy white lace tablecloth, and a bouquet of fresh champagne roses in the center, their rich aroma filling the air.

As soon as she sat down at the head of the table, three maids in clean uniforms filed in with trays, gently placing the dishes on the table.

Three dishes and a soup, light and refreshing. A plate of steamed sea bass, tender and white; a dish of stir-fried vegetables, vibrant green; a bowl of smooth steamed egg custard; and finally, a pot of warm yam and pork rib congee.

All were light and easy on the stomach, clearly chosen to avoid greasy and spicy dishes, considering her digestive system hadn’t yet adjusted after the flight.

Jiang Wenxi picked up a silver spoon, scooped a spoonful of congee, and put it in her mouth. The warm porridge slid down her throat, instantly soothing her empty stomach and seemingly easing the fatigue of the past few days.

Seeing her pick up her chopsticks, Jiang Kun gave a slight nod to the servants behind him.

They immediately bowed and quietly withdrew, the large dining room instantly falling silent, leaving only a nimble maid standing in the corner, ready to give orders at any moment.

The meal was comfortable and pleasant.

After the meal, Jiang Wenxi slowly rose and began to survey her villa.

The villa had four floors, each with a clear functional division.

The first floor contained the living room, dining room, kitchen, and reception room, primarily for social purposes; the second floor had guest rooms, a study, and an entertainment room, suitable for both leisure and work; the third floor was her private domain; and the fourth floor had a rooftop garden and an outdoor swimming pool.

Following Jiang Kun to the third floor, when she pushed open the door to the master bedroom, Jiang Wenxi couldn’t help but pause in surprise.

The master bedroom was ridiculously large, with its own ensuite bathroom and a balcony with a view. Sunlight streamed in through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows, casting dappled shadows on the floor.

But what truly amazed her was the walk-in closet connected to the master bedroom—it occupied half the space of the third floor, with floor-to-ceiling wardrobes on both sides and a row of elegant jewelry cabinets and shoe racks in the middle. The space was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate dozens of people.

However, at this moment, the enormous walk-in closet only had a few well-fitting clothes hanging sparsely, and the shoe rack only had a few pairs of comfortable flat shoes, clearly hastily purchased by the housekeeping team for emergency use.

Jiang Wenxi looked at the empty wardrobe and couldn’t help but smile.

It seemed this walk-in closet would have plenty of opportunities to be filled in the future.

After a long day of running around, she was utterly exhausted. After a quick wash, she picked out a soft silk nightgown from the walk-in closet and changed into it, then collapsed onto the large bed covered with velvet sheets.

The mattress was just the right firmness, and the comforter still carried a faint scent of sunshine. Jiang Wenxi fell asleep almost instantly, even in her dreams she slept soundly.

The setting sun outside the window gradually sank, its orange-red afterglow filling the entire room, enveloping her peaceful sleeping face in a warm halo.

When she opened her eyes again, the sky outside had completely darkened, the last traces of orange-red light swallowed by the thick night. The streetlights in the villa courtyard lit up one by one, casting warm yellow halos.

Jiang Wenxi sat up, rubbing her temples. The hangover-like fatigue had mostly subsided. Her silk pajamas carried a faint jasmine scent, an unfamiliar yet incredibly comforting aroma.

She walked barefoot on the thick cashmere carpet, the soft touch like walking on clouds, slowly strolling along the third-floor corridor.

Her fingertips traced the two-meter-wide carved door of the walk-in closet; she gently pushed it, the hinges making a very soft sound. The warm yellow motion-sensor light turned on, illuminating the large space.

The floor-to-ceiling wardrobe gleamed, reflecting her image. The empty hangers shimmered coldly under the light, with only a few emergency clothes hanging forlornly in the corner.

Jiang Wenxi looked at the empty walk-in closet and couldn’t help but smile.

This place definitely needed some supplies quickly.

She slowly walked downstairs, the faint aroma of food wafting from the dining room.

The servants had already prepared dinner, the dishes still light and palatable, but more refined than at lunch, clearly having figured out her tastes.

Just as she sat down at the table, Jiang Kun quickly approached, standing respectfully to the side:

“Miss, you’re awake. Dinner is ready. Would you like to eat now, or wait a little longer? Also, I’d like to ask if you’d like to go for a walk later, or just rest at home?” Jiang

Wenxi picked up her chopsticks, taking a bite of stir-fried asparagus, the tender texture spreading on her tongue. She thought for a moment, then shook her head.

Having just arrived in this world, although her identity had been taken care of by the system, she was still unfamiliar with everything here. Going out rashly might cause trouble.

It was better to stay home first, figure out the system’s functions and the rewards—that was the important thing.

“I won’t go out later,” she put down her chopsticks, her tone calm. “I’m going to the projection room; I have something to take care of.”

She paused, then remembered her empty walk-in closet and added,

“By the way, Uncle Jiang, contact a few top haute couture and jewelry brands for me. Have them bring their latest designs and custom plans to my house tomorrow morning. Remember, the best; don’t skimp on the price.”

The few lonely clothes in her closet were hardly befitting of the owner of Villa No. 1 in Tan Palace; she needed to find them some “companions” quickly.

A knowing glint flashed in Jiang Kun’s eyes, and he quickly bowed and agreed:

“Yes, Miss, I’ll arrange it right away. I have the contact information for several top brands in Shanghai, and I guarantee they’ll bring their latest models on time tomorrow, without wasting your time.”
