Down there?

Are people really this bold online these days?

After sending it, he immediately felt a slight vibration on the desk.

Instinctively, he lifted his eyelids and glanced toward the source of the vibration.

On the seat to his left sat a phone—crystal case with a flashy phone charm, clearly a girl’s.

Just as he looked over, the screen lit up with an incoming message. With his naked-eye vision at 5.2, even without meaning to, the words on the screen jumped straight into his view—

【The account you follow, ksmk123, has sent you a message】

Ksmk123?

Wasn’t that his Douyin account?

And he’d just replied to “Chunchun Loves Meat”… Could it be that…

He looked down at his own phone and typed in the private message box: 【The internet is not a lawless place.】

The moment the message sent, the phone on the desk vibrated again—

【The account you follow, ksmk123, has sent you a message】

Now he was completely certain. The owner of this phone was none other than “Chunchun Loves Meat”—the one running her mouth in his comment section online!

The account’s gender was female, and the phone was being used by a girl, so the person on the other end wasn’t some guy messing around—it really was a girl.

And not just any girl—a Jingda University student, possibly even a classmate in his own major.

Interesting.

Xi Chenzhou straightened up, leaning back against his chair. His slender fingers pinched the phone, spinning it loosely in his palm as his gaze swept lazily across the people in the classroom.

Chunchun Loves Meat… who exactly is it?

A few girls in the front rows had already noticed him.

They’d spent the whole class guessing whether he was handsome. Based on his clothes and build, he gave off major handsome-guy vibes, but he’d been lying there sleeping the whole time without showing his face. Now that they finally got a clear look at him, the group immediately got excited:

“Holy crap!!! How did we never notice someone this divine on campus before?”

“An absolutely stunning strong-featured handsome guy! Just one look from him and I feel pregnant!”

“Look at his hoodie—that brand is an American streetwear label, super expensive. Even a T-shirt goes for seven or eight thousand. That one celebrity always wears that brand!”

“That sports watch he’s wearing is pricey too! Total tall-rich-handsome material. Who’s going to go get his WeChat?”

“You go.”

“Ugh, I don’t dare. You go, you go.”

“What are you scared of? A girl chasing a guy is just a thin veil away. You’re our department’s beauty queen, at least—have some confidence!”

The group shoved each other, stealing glances at Xi Chenzhou from time to time.

Finally, the department beauty mustered up the courage under her friend group’s encouragement.

“Hey, classmate, can we get to know each other? What major are you in?” The beauty tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear as she spoke, batting her eyelashes and using a syrupy, cutesy voice.

Xi Chenzhou lifted his eyelids and gave her a glance.

That face overlapped with the comments on his phone, and a wave of offended disgust rose in his chest.

“Something wrong?” His tone was cold.

Whoa. So aloof. So attractive. The beauty’s voice got even more syrupy: “Can I add your WeChat?”

“No.” Xi Chenzhou’s thin lips parted, spitting out two words with zero warmth. He then turned his head, his cold, hard profile facing her, the irritation between his brows impossible to hide.

It was the first time the beauty had ever hit a wall like this. Her face flushed bright red in an instant. She muttered a small protest, gritted her teeth, and turned to walk away.

Back at her seat, she couldn’t help but start venting to her friends.

“What’s he so arrogant for? Face is that handsome, but his personality is absolute garbage.”

“A guy like that—any girl who dates him would just have to grovel. I’m not putting up with that crap.”

Her friends soothed her: “Exactly, exactly. You’re so beautiful—what kind of man can’t you find? Don’t get upset over him.”

“I can’t believe he’s like that. Not a shred of gentlemanly manners. Total turn-off.”

…

Xi Chenzhou watched the girl storm back to the front row, chattering away with the people beside her. The phone on the desk to his left was still there, so she wasn’t “Chunchun Loves Meat”?

He’d gotten the wrong person.

Xi Chenzhou pressed his thin lips together coldly, continuing to observe the people in the classroom without giving anything away.

Lin Xuechun and Zhou Xinran finished their bathroom trip and walked back into the classroom arm in arm.

Lin Xuechun was wearing a sleeveless athletic dress today. The modal fabric clung to her skin, incredibly comfortable. The dress fell to her ankles, and she’d thrown a loose plaid shirt over it, with a pair of beige canvas shoes on her feet.

Simple and casual.

Her long hair was loosely tied into a low bun at the back of her head, no bangs, her fair little face fully exposed—almond eyes, delicate nose, red lips, white teeth. Delicate and beautiful.

She walked unhurriedly up the steps of the lecture hall.

Her seat was the first one in the last row, by the aisle. When she reached her seat, before even sitting down, she habitually grabbed her phone from the desk and unlocked it with practiced ease.

A soft click of the unlock sound.

Xi Chenzhou’s gaze locked onto her immediately. He raised an eyebrow slightly. “Is this your phone?”

So bold online, yet in real life she has a face this pure and innocent.

The contrast was almost too much.

He had to confirm.

“Hm? Yeah, it is.” What’s wrong?

Lin Xuechun looked at him with confusion, her gaze as pure and bewildered as a fawn lost in the forest.

“It kept vibrating just now.” Xi Chenzhou made up a random excuse.

“Oh, thanks for the reminder.” Lin Xuechun nodded, glancing down at her phone. It was just a Douyin notification.

“You woke me up.”

“Ah?”

Lin Xuechun’s apricot-shaped eyes widened slightly, looking utterly innocent. “Oh. Sorry about that, classmate. I’ll switch it to silent mode right now.”

Her voice was soft and gentle.

Obedient to a fault.

Yet online, she was that filthy.

It was truly hard to imagine. Xi Chenzhou raised an eyebrow again, glanced at her, then looked away and turned his head.

Lin Xuechun sat down holding her phone, pulled down the notification shade, and tapped the bell icon. A diagonal line immediately appeared over it, switching it to silent mode.
