As i followed him inside and got and stand near a table, he directly went to the door and closed it.
I was shock what is he doing??
He came and stand in front of me.
“So what were you saying?
You will work after the marriage??
” He asked
“Yes I will ” i replied
He kept staring me for some time and I was still getting nervous.
“You can’t, as you are going to be my wife so you have to do everything what I say ”
I didn’t said anything.
He stepped more closer
“Understood??
” He asked in an angry tone.
And now I can’t be quiet I have to say
“I will work at the bakery, that’s my job and I love it ” i replied He kept his one hand on my arm holding it tight and coming more towards me I was stepping back when he said” Is it really?
You don’t have any options , you will do whatever i say ” he voice rose and he leaned down more towards my face “And if you don’t, then be ready to bear the consequences ” he said and finally he let go of my arm and stepped back He looked at my phone in his hand The chat still opened of keifer He started reading the name “Keifer, nice name .
Who is he ?
” He asked
I don’t have a answer to it….
My friend or the person who saved my life.
“He is my friend ” i replied
“Fine but i don’t like my wife making male friends ” he said “I am not your wife ” i replied back “Soon to be ” he said and kept my phone on the table.
As I took my phone
There were 2 more miss calls of keifer and some more messages and i was about to open the chat a voice called me “Jay Jay ”
jeana called me
I sighed and went outside
As i reached in the hall , I saw everyone was eating dinner and that fucking Damien looking at me.
I went to the kitchen to drink water.
As i went
“Jay Jay come help me serve them ” jeana said to me i couldn’t even drink the water she handed me the bowl full of noodles I took it and went in the hall and kept on the table where they were eating.
As i was about to leave” Oh girl , serve us ” his mom called.
Really you don’t have hands or what.
I went back and started serving them as i went to serve that Damien and I was about to give him noodles , he spoke “No I don’t like it “.
He said i kept it aside and i was about to go again in the kitchen.
“Wait you need to know what I like ” he said
I turned back
“What ?
” I asked
“You are going to be my wife , so you should know what food i like ” he said I didn’t know what to say “Understood??
” He asked me
I just nodded and went from there .
I can’t even go back into the room to take my phone, as they are having dinner in the hall and i don’t want to see that fucking Damien face .
After spending some time standing in the kitchen, they finally decided to leave.
I have to go out to bid them bye .
I went out as they all were leaving.
His mom came towards me and said
“Jay Jay we will go for shopping soon .
I will let you know the date n time”
I don’t want to go for any shopping
I just nodded .
And that Damien
“Let’s meet soon , ofcourse we need to know each other more ” he said while looking to me.
I didn’t answered nor nodded .
Finally they all left .
I didn’t waste a second
And directly went to room where my phone was kept.
There were messages and calls of keifer.
I took my phone and went upstairs.
Keifer’s pov –
I messaged her again but she didn’t replied.
We were still waiting for her .
“Keigan if u want to go then go with your friends, i am not going”.
I said and I stood up to go in my room .
“Kuya i also don’t want to go ” keigan said
And he kept the tickets on the table and left .
Why she didn’t came ?
She told that she will come then whyy ?
Is she fine ??
Something is happening to her .
I need to find out .
Just then i changed my clothes went down to eat dinner.
“Keifer you didn’t went to the amusement park?
” My mom asked me
“No , i didn’t wanted to” i replied she didn’t asked much questions I ate my food and went again in my room .
And started doing my company’s work .
After some time my phone Buzzed !
I picked it up , there was the message from Jay Jay Jay Jay’s Pov- I opened his chat and messaged him To keifer –
Sorry i couldn’t come.
The reply came immediately.
From Keifer –
You scared me .
To keifer –
What ?
From Keifer –
You weren’t replying.
You weren’t picking up calls.
You didn’t come.
I Thought something happened.
For a moment i don’t know what to reply
The only person who cared about me then anything else .
To keifer –
I am sorry.
From Keifer –
Don’t apologize.
Just tell me if you’re okay.
My fingers stopped above the keyboard.
To Keifer –
I’m okay.
After a few seconds—
From Keifer –
Are you sure?
Why was he asking again?
Why did he sound like he actually cared?
To Keifer –
Yes.
After some time another message from him
From Keifer –
Keigan was upset.
To keifer –
Oh
From Keifer –
He wants to go with you .
To keifer –
Yes next time we will.
I promise keifer next time sure I won’t disappoint you and keigan.
From Keifer –
Okay.
Are you coming tomorrow to meet mom ?
I really want to go and i will give her the cookies she loves .
Thinking about watson mansion a smile appread on my face .

Yes I will.
After some time another message arrived

Jay Jay.
To Keifer –
Hmm?

Whatever happened today..
I hope it wasn’t bad enough to make you stop smiling.
I froze.
Completely froze.
Because somehow…
He noticed that too.
My fingers slowly moved over the keyboard.

Then twice.

I still can’t figure it out what just happened.
My worst day turned into something special .
Keifer cared about me that I was really okay or not .
Talking about my smile.
How can someone care about me this much.
I was continuously smiling while looking at the phone.
I placed my phone beside me and was about to sleep when my eyes landed on my arm.
The place where Damien held me.
A faint red mark remained there.
For a few seconds…
I simply stared at it.
Then my eyes moved toward the chat again.
“Just tell me if you’re okay.”
The message stayed on my screen.
For some reason…
My chest hurt.
One person held my arm tightly enough to leave marks.
Another person worried because I didn’t answer his messages.
The difference between the two felt terrifying.And comforting.At the same time.
My phone buzzed again.
From Serina Ma’am –
Did my cookie supplier reach home safely?
A small laugh escaped my lips.
To Serina Ma’am –
Yes Ma’am.

Good.
From Serina Ma’am –
And don’t forget my cookies tomorrow.

A few seconds later another message appeared.
From Serina Ma’am –
Good girl.
I stared at the screen.
Good girl.
Such simple words.
Yet somehow…
My eyes started burning.
Because nobody had ever said that to me before.
Not with affection.
Not with warmth.
I placed my phone beside me and looked toward my father’s photograph.
“Dad…”
I whispered softly.
“I think I found good people.”
For the first time in a long time…
The silence in my room didn’t feel so lonely.

Somewhere in another part of the city
Keifer was probably still awake.
Keigan was probably planning revenge for the missed amusement park trip.
Serina was probably thinking about cookies.
And Kaizar was probably pretending not to know any of it.
A small smile appeared on jay jay’s face.
Maybe…
Just maybe…
Some people entered in jay Jay’s life quietly.
And somehow…
Ended up feeling like home.
