Logan stared at the screen floating in front of him with a surprised look on his face.
[Ding! Congratulations to the host on successfully arriving in a new world called Terra.]
[The Urban Elf System is currently at your service.]
'Woah.'
'So I've truly arrived in a different world.'
'And I've got a system as well.'
'Hmm, an urban elf system, huh.'
'Does this mean I'm an elf too, just like the woman who called herself my mother?' Logan wondered as he tried touching his ears to see if they were truly as pointy as that of his mother.
'Oh, wow.'
'My ears are truly as long as that of an elf.'
[Would the host like to check out his profile?]
'Yes,' Logan replied, and a new screen appeared before him.
[Response acknowledged.]

[HOST: Logan Blackwell]
[RACE: Elf]
[SYSTEM POINTS: 0]
[ATTRIBUTES: Strength 8 · Agility 9 · Stamina 7 · Constitution 6 · Charm 10 · Intelligence 9]
'Woah.'
'This is really cool.'
'But aren't these stats of mine a bit too low?'
'Am I really that weak in this world as well?'
For a young man in his early twenties in his previous world who had spent most of his life in hospital, Logan was well aware of how his physical body had limitations in comparison to other guys his age.
However, he wasn't expecting his new body to be physically weak in this world as well.
'Actually, I feel this body is a lot better than my previous one.'
In his previous body, Logan would have been feeling severe pains in his limbs by now, but so far, he hadn't experienced such agony in this new body of his, so that's a positive he would have to look forward to from now on.
But just as he continued to scan his new hands and feet, a new screen popped up in front of him.
[With the urban elf system by your side, the host stands a high chance of gaining strength, wealth and influence. You'll also be given quests capable of rewarding you with attributes, skills and points as well.]
[Each point may be used to summon specialists to your service and can be earned by completing quests, achieving personal milestones, and growing your standing in this world.]
[Your first set of quests is now available.]
[Would you like to take a look at them?]
'Alright.'
[Quest 1: Spend time with your mother. Reward: System Points, Attribute Points, or a random skill.]
[Quest 2: Learn about the world you are now in. Reward: System Points, Attribute Points, or a random skill.]
'Hmm, I should spend time with my mother and learn about the new world I'm in, huh.'
'I guess that makes sense cause I barely know anything about who I am in this world.'
'And I don't even know anything about this world I'm in as well,' Logan muttered internally to himself as he stared at the screen vanishing before his eyes.
Meanwhile, just outside in the hallway, the doctor could be seen speaking to Rowena now regarding her son.
"Given the severity of what he went through, I believe it's possible he may have trouble remembering certain things, people and places as well. This usually happens sometimes to people who had experienced the kind of trauma he had."
Hearing this, Rowena's face grew pale.
"I do not understand. Are you saying he might not remember me?"
"It's hard to say for certain because every case is different and some patients recover their memories within days while others take a bit longer than some."
"So, is there anything I can do about this?"
"You can try familiarising him with the people and places he might have seen before, but you'll have to be consistent about this cause the brain tends to respond well to things of comfort and consistency."
Hearing the doctor's words, Rowena nodded slowly in understanding.
"I understand. Thank you, Doctor."
Rowena watched as the doctor went to attend to other things.
Then she redirected her gaze back to the small window in the door.
Then she stared at her son sitting quietly on the bed, and her fist curled even more tightly in anticipation of what she was going to do to those who had made him this way.
'Whatever it takes, sweetie.'
'Mommy promises to help you regain back all your memories.'
'Hopefully, you'll regain only the good ones and not the bad ones.'
'So, I'll try my best to pamper you from now on.'
'I promise.'
An hour passed, and now Logan could be seen sitting in the passenger seat of his mother's sleek black Aston Martin car.
He noticed how nice and expensive the car looked.
'Does this mean my mom is really rich?'
'Woah, lucky.'
'Though it's a shame I knew nothing about cars in my previous world because I wonder what type of car this is and how much it costs in the current market as well.' Logan wondered internally before watching the city pass by outside the window as his mother began driving.
His eyes met several tall buildings and bright lights.
In fact, the city looked almost similar to the ones he'd seen or watched in movies back home.
But nothing could have prepared him for what he was about to see next because in about a minute or two, the car turned through a set of iron gates that opened on their own.
The car then drove through a long driveway before stopping in front of a huge mansion.
'Woah.'
The mansion was so large, even Logan wouldn't be surprised if anyone had said it belonged to someone from a royal family.
'Just how rich is my mother?' Logan wondered internally as he stared at the fountain in the front yard along with the large windows in the three floors of the building.
"Is this really your house?" Logan asked as he tried his best not to let his jaw drop to the ground.
However, Rowena couldn't help but smile as she hugged him slowly from behind, allowing his head to rest comfortably on her massive marshmallows.
"What do you mean by my house? It's ours, silly. Now come on. Let's get you inside."
