As days passed Vicar made his butlers set up the supplies Nicole needed for their painting, he wanted to see if she was truly worthy of such talents.
Nicole looked at the canvas as she got nervous painting for such high-class nobles it made her feel as if she didn’t belong in a sense.
Lord Vicar trusted her enough to paint him and his knight-in-training Ruby.
She felt as if Ruby didn’t like her but it would sense as she was a total stranger in their domain.
A girl who showed up out of nowhere but as a guest at that, of course, anyone would feel suspicious of her.

Nicole could feel Ruby’s eyes piercing her from afar, she couldn’t help but take a glance at her seeing Ruby narrowing her eyes at Nicole as she quickly looked away.
Nicole let out a small sigh as she started to make a rough sketch of the pair, she wasn’t going to let Ruby rub her the wrong way.
She couldn’t wait for Jasper to come for her so they could return to Snow Kingdom.
Nicole slightly blushed at the thought of Lord Jasper he was tall and Beautiful she could paint him all day if she had the luxury.
She could only imagine how long the Lord of Snow would need her until she returned home.
Having lost the train of thought she shook her head and continued to paint.
Vicar looked at Nicole closely as she was focused and passionate about her work, this human had caught his eye he thought to himself.
He could tell she was no typical painter no wonder Jasper wanted her for himself completely.
Any other painter would have rushed delicately as a true artist would never rush their work but take their time as she is doing now.
As time went by Nicole stopped painting as she stood up stretching wanting for both of them to see the work that was done.

Ruby let out a gasp as she smiled at Nicole” You did a beautiful job, the details it’s amazing!

Nicole tilted her head at Ruby’s comment not that she didn’t mind it but she was wary that the girl didn’t like her.
Maybe she read Ruby’s intentions wrong all the way around.
Vicar only nodded at her meaning that he liked the painting.
Nicole smiled at them both as she bowed her head deeply.
Taking another step back she accidentally bumped into someone, as she tried to turn around she felt their hands wrap around her waist.
The person leaned forward to her ear and whispered” Did you miss me little Lamb” Nicole blushed as she covered her face wanting to hide in a hole as it was Jasper who had come to pick her up.
Vicar and Ruby looked at each other as they smiled only for a brief moment until they noticed that his eyes were pitch black meaning the corruption had taken place on him once again.
“Don’t worry Vicar I just need some more blood tablets from you and we will be on our merry way.”
Vicar walked up to Jasper as he let go of Nicole’s waist making sure she stood beside him.
“I see you fighting back somewhat.

Jasper smiled widely showing her fanged teeth” I feel great, thank you for taking care of her for the time being.
I don’t trust my servants with guests like her.”
“If you don’t even trust your servants in your kingdom then you might need some new ones.”
Vicar wanted to make sure that Jasper was taken care of since his brother was away for war currently he needed to look after him since he was still so young but he felt that Nicole would do a great job of helping Jasper and understanding the proper way of loving a human.
Jasper placed his hand on his waist pondering in thought “Hmm I guess you’re right that would make much more sense.
Maybe I should torture them do you think that will teach them”
Nicole’s eyes widened slightly at the Lord’s comment as she felt his hand that was once on his hip now on her waist tightening his grip on her.
Vicar noticed the small action but decided to mind his business reaching for his breast pocket and pulling out a small glass bottle filled with pills that Jasper needed.
Vicar handed it to him as Jasper let out a small bow thanking him and noticing the painted canvas in the distance.
He smirked at the fact that Vicar wanted his painter to indulge in her talents on him.
“You seem a bit touchy with your painter Jasper”Vicar wanted to tease him just a little since he could feel his jealousy.
Jasper rolled his eyes “She is my painter, after all, I see Nicole painted you both now I’ll have to punish her for it.
”
Nicole looked up at him as Jasper began to walk away still holding onto her waist pretty much dragging her along.
Vicar smirked at them as Ruby looked at him with worry.
“I don’t think he meant it Ruby there are many ways a man can punish someone.
Especially one he is attached to.”
Ruby looked at the pair as they walked out the door abruptly thinking it was strange for a vampire who hated humans to be so connected with one.
Jasper and Nicole headed out of the mansion and walked to the carriage as the coachmen opened the door for them allowing her to go inside first as he followed her.
Before she was able to sit down he yanked Nicole’s wrist pulling her into his lap and making her blush widely.
The coachman minded his business as he closed the door leading the carriage to start moving
She tried to escape but it only made him want more of her.
He was trying his best to fight the corruption but he losing control.
Nicole gave up letting Jasper hold her, he was too strong and easily towered over her she didn’t have a chance even if she tried.
“Does this make you uncomfortable” His voice was calm not wanting to harm her.
“Well no it’s just different for me, this is forbidden what if someone is watching us?
I don’t want to be punished”
Nicole blushed profusely he laughed slightly leaning his head on hers as Jasper closed his eyes as she did the same.
The connection they both shared was somewhat odd for a painter such as herself she didn’t know why he wanted her all for herself.
Lord Jasper was warm feeling the full embrace made her feel safe, which she hadn’t had in so long since her parents died.
“It will be a long journey so rest for Nicole, your punishment will just be to stay like this with me, I’m not asking much out of you” His eyes were still closed and she could only nod her head feeling herself slowly fall asleep in his arms.
As time passed Nicole woke up from her nap, she looked around noticing that she was still in the carriage but Lord Jasper wasn’t there with her.
She looked down at her dress noticing his large Jacket covered her small petite body, Nicole couldn’t help but blush slightly.
Lord Jasper was a strange man, if he despised humans so much then why did he treat her so nicely?
She wondered how the humans who resided in Snow felt about their king.
The carriage door opened and she saw Lord Jasper with a small bowl of food for her.
She looked into his eyes seeing that they were back to normal, somehow the corruption had worn off.
She grabbed the bowl thanking him for it as he was about to close the carriage door she quickly set the bowl down and extended her hand to him.
Jasper opened the door slightly as the wind in the area was strong “What is it?”
She was a bit worried “Are you feeling okay Lord Jasper, where are we?”
“Humans like you are something else?
I’m fine now.
We are in the lands of Eddessia, we’re just taking a short break”
“Edeissa my father used to tell me about the land of iron and glass, I wonder what happened to it for it to be in such a dilapidated state”
Jasper smiled slightly only to frown “The Lord of Edessia was a friend of mine he was a mentor to me before Vicar took over.
He tested my strength and all just like Vicar he gave you a test and you passed perfectly.
Love is what caused this kingdom to ruin.
The sea used to surround this land but it’s nothing more than dirt and broken-down buildings, it was a passageway for both mainlands and Edessia.
Lord Alonso treasured Lady Joanna like a gem,It was rumored that they had a child together the name Chatan.

Nicole looked out the window seeing the ruined kingdom, she wondered what it was like before it seemed like a beautiful place.
Maybe she could go to the library and look up the kingdom herself.
