The beast dropped Max, pushed me against the tree, and took off.

I tried to open my eyes but could not.

I was lying on the ground with my eyes closed.

I slowly opened my eyes and looked at Max’s face.

Later, we were startled by a sound.
Max squeezed his eyes shut and a second later opened them.

“It is embarrassing,” I said this while lying on the ground.

Suddenly, you are changed, like you are not that person anymore.
I think you are hiding something,” Max said.

“If I am happy, it means that I am hiding something,” I said.

“Then you should find out soon what I am hiding,” I whispered.

While we were conversing, we heard something walking in the bushes.
We looked in that direction, and suddenly I ran and hid behind the tree.
I then saw a kid disappearing into the bushes.
Max remained there.
He extended his claws.
A girl appeared behind the tree.
