Qin Xie raised his hand to check the service logs on his display. Seeing no record of nutrient supplements being dispensed, his stern brow furrowed. He thought of the slender and fragile body of Yu Li and felt a surge of concern.
How could he not eat on time? He will develop stomach problems, suffer from malnutrition, and might even stunt his growth.
Yu Li is so prone to crying. If he gets sick, he will surely cry until his eyes are swollen, letting out little whimpering sounds with his soft pink lips, such a pitiful sight.
Thinking of this, Qin Xie could no longer stand still. He had to ensure Yu Li took his nutrients. Even if he were to be scolded by the beautiful youth or fixed with a glare from those watery, enchanting eyes, he would have no regrets.
Meanwhile, the massage technique of Fu Shen had shifted from initial awkwardness to smooth proficiency. He asked, “How is this pressure?”
Yu Li leaned back against the sofa, feeling perfectly relaxed under the hands of Fu Shen. His pretty little face softened, and he murmured, “Mmm.”
Just as Yu Li was silently tallying up his own accomplishments, the system, which had been dormant in his mind for a long time, began to recite the scene of the first encounter between the protagonist and the main protagonist in a dramatic, rhythmic tone.
“He is cold and ruthless, yet gentle and considerate. Since you have repeatedly hit walls with Qin Xie, you, who are always one to judge people by their status, have gauged that the newcomer, Fu Shen, is soft tempered and mild mannered. You have begun to bully the honest Fu Shen even more viciously.”
“You have established a rule. When a New Human speaks to you, they must kneel on the ground and kiss the back of your hand before they are permitted to address you. Therefore, facing the easily bullied Fu Shen, you push your luck, displaying an incredibly arrogant posture.”
“You command Fu Shen to kneel, but he refuses. Driven by anger, accustomed as you were to acting imperiously before your long slumber, you can no longer endure being ignored. You press a sharp weapon against your own throat to threaten him. Just then, Qin Xie arrives and sees this. Qin Xie assumes it must be your doing, and as he looks at the resilient and gentle Fu Shen, he feels a great deal of resentment toward you.”
“He approaches you with a cold face to warn you, thereby defending Fu Shen. Due to your extreme malice, the two grow fond of one another, united by their shared plight.”
It was time to follow the official plot. Under other circumstances, Yu Li would have been excited to go through with all this, eager to torment the protagonists. But now, he felt uneasy. He glanced surreptitiously at Fu Shen.
Though Fu Shen was the main protagonist, he was not fragile at all. His physique looked just as strong as that of Qin Xie. Perhaps the only difference was that gentle, soft featured face.
Especially after their previous interactions, where Yu Li had caught a glimpse of the hidden sadistic streak of Fu Shen, he was even more worried. He hesitated and asked the system, “Is Fu Shen really soft tempered and gentle?”
The system was unsure, but one cannot lose their nerve. Without hesitation, it replied, “Of course, he is a good person. He is already kneeling on the floor massaging your legs without resisting, is he not?”
Yu Li found that logical. Looking at Fu Shen, who was serving him like a devoted, submissive wife, his confidence surged.
Yu Li pulled his foot from the hold of the man and stood up from the sofa. Straightening his back, he looked down at Fu Shen and spoke coldly, “Speak.”
The sudden turn of events left Fu Shen slightly dazed. He was kneeling at the feet of the youth, and with Yu Li standing, the current posture was undignified.
Fu Shen lifted his chin slightly and his straight lashes fluttered upward. From his angle, he could clearly see the waist of Yu Li, which could be spanned by a single hand, outlined by his well draped robe. Every part of him was perfectly proportioned, making one wonder how anyone could be so flawless.
Seeing Yu Li staring at him, Fu Shen said, “Li Li, am I pressing too hard?”
Before Fu Shen could finish, Yu Li offered no reaction. He did not even want to indulge Fu Shen with a perfunctory reply, too lazy to waste words. He simply held out his hand. “From today on, there is one more rule.”
“You must kneel on the ground and kiss my hand before you are allowed to speak to me.”
Fu Shen was stunned. A wicked, triumphant smile played on the lips of the beautiful ancient human. He seemed very satisfied with the reaction of Fu Shen. The smile on his delicate face grew even more prominent.
Yu Li watched the protagonist, who had gone rigid, assuming he was unwilling. He raised his voice, “Speak! Do you agree or not?”
The youth held himself with haughty arrogance. His fair white feet pressed into the carpet, connecting to a pair of slender straight legs where the faint blue veins beneath the snow white skin were clearly visible. They were so thin that, held in one’s palm, one could not help but wonder if applying just a little pressure would leave them reddened, swollen, and tearful.
Despite his bullying posture, the long dark lashes of the beautiful ancient human were damp, shimmering with crystal clear tears. His glass like eyes were wide, his face exquisite, with adorable little elf like ears, soft straight black hair, a pert nose, and lips that were pink and tempting.
It was all bravado. He looked so obedient that one could not help but want to hold him in their palms to kiss and pinch him. If that beautiful creature were to have tear filled eyes, biting his lips until they were red, and his face chewed until it was swollen, he would surely look so pitiful then.
Yu Li could only bite his lip in grievance. Large drops of tears slid down his face, and from his delicate throat came a whimpering sound and a soft, quiet plea.
Feeling the gaze of Fu Shen, Yu Li felt inexplicably cold. But the words had already been spoken, and his hand was already extended. There was no turning back. He could not help but put on a show. “Are you even listening to me?”
Fu Shen nodded. “I am listening.”
Looking at Fu Shen, who seemed to be clenching his fists as if enduring something to his limit, Yu Li shrank his head back slightly, fearing he might get hit. He softened his tone just a little. “Then do you agree or not?”
The voice of the young man was light and sweet.
Yu Li had a standard East Asian appearance. His features were soft, or more accurately, he was of the cute cat type with round eyes and a face without sharp angles. As he softened his voice with a spoiled, whining edge, his lashes and the corners of his eyes drooped. No matter how wicked he acted, in the eyes of others, he looked nothing but delicate and charming.
Fu Shen suppressed the urge to pinch the cheeks of the young man. He let out an “Mmm,” yet he had already lifted the slender jade like fingers Yu Li offered.
“I agree.”
Fu Shen wore a light colored robe, the top two buttons undone, giving him a graceful and ethereal air. To satisfy the twisted taste of Yu Li, he deliberately added a note of hidden endurance to his voice. “Li Li, are you treating me like a dog?”
As he spoke, his phoenix eyes revealed a touch of sorrow, like someone fearing tyranny and forced to comply against his will. He murmured, “Please, never make me do something so undignified again.”
Yu Li did not notice the odd demeanor of the man. He had always assumed Fu Shen hated him to the core, for who would not, after being bullied like this?
Seeing Fu Shen lean forward, ready to follow his command, Yu Li heard the notification that the malice points had been credited.
But he could not actually let him kiss it. Yu Li looked around stealthily, but he still did not see the figure of Qin Xie anywhere.
