Yu Li was extremely sensitive to danger; otherwise, he would not have been able to adjust to every situation or say what people wanted to hear. He swallowed hard, and his beautiful lashes trembled. “Yes.”

“I told him to kiss me, but I made him kneel to do it.” Fearing that Qin Xie might misunderstand and think he was fighting over a partner, Yu Li hurriedly added that last part.

The young man lifted his slender chin. Counting on the fact that they dared not hit him, he spoke without any restraint, openly admitting to making someone kneel in a world that preached equality. He did not even realize he had done anything wrong.Full novel: Vicious, Yet Undeniably Beautiful [Quick Transmigration] — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Qin Xie pursed his lips. He pushed Fu Shen aside and occupied the space at Yu Li’s side. “But.”

The sudden proximity startled Yu Li. He did not dare to put on airs anymore, and he even pulled back his puffed-out chest, timidly observing Qin Xie’s expression. “But what?”

Qin Xie leaned down. The bright golden light overhead was instantly blocked by his shadow. With the man lowering his gaze, his well-defined fingertips pinched Yu Li’s chin. He tilted it up carefully, examining the young man from top to bottom, left and right.

The Yu Li before him was incredibly naive and ignorant. Every expression on his face was clear at a glance, yet because of his arrogance, he believed he was hiding his true self very well. Such a person should have been particularly annoying, as no one likes someone who is spoiled and malicious.

However, that was not entirely correct. Yu Li was just a bit hot-tempered, had a slightly nasty personality, and loved to torment others. Yet, these flaws were almost eclipsed by his virtues. He was beautiful, delicate, pure, and clean. Every inch of him seemed to declare that he was a favorite of the heavens. He was pink and white, with watery, stunning eyes, a petite nose, and lips like jelly. Every feature was so beautiful that it made people unable to summon any anger, and even more unwilling to make him angry.

Yu Li blinked in confusion, feeling Qin Xie’s warm breath on his face. The man had grabbed his face and was just staring at him without saying a word, stealing all his oxygen. Yu Li was speechless. Was he planning to steal all his air and commit a murder without spilling blood?

Qin Xie observed him for a moment before stretching out his hand and saying earnestly, “Open your mouth.”

“What does that mean?” Yu Li was puzzled. He raised his brows, revealing beautiful, glass-like eyes, and lifted his hand to swat Qin Xie’s away, only to hear the man continue.

“I do not know if this person is a Vile Insect. Any ancient human who makes contact with a Vile Insect or has their genes stolen will be parasitized. The insect will lay eggs, and within a month, the person will swell into a ball as the parasite matures.”

“Boom,” Qin Xie said, unemotionally imitating the sound, then continued, “you will explode into a spray of blood.”

As soon as these words were spoken, Yu Li’s hand, which was about to swat Qin Xie’s away, froze. “Is it that serious?”

“Yes,” Qin Xie replied. “But being parasitized by a Vile Insect can be determined by checking the inside of the mouth for eggs. So, open your mouth.” Qin Xie looked so serious, as if he were genuinely worried that Yu Li might be parasitized by a Vile Insect.

The system was so frightened that it hurriedly scanned Yu Li, then scanned Fu Shen, before patting its chest in relief. [No, there is no parasitism. Fu Shen is a New Human, not a Vile Insect.]

Yu Li did not believe it. He valued his life very much. “Could the scan be wrong? I always feel like Fu Shen is strange.”

The system grew nervous, too. [Then let Qin Xie check; it would be better than relying on the scanner if it is malfunctioning.]

Fu Shen was so amused by Qin Xie’s slander that he laughed. “Brother Qin, whether I am a Vile Insect or not is not for you to decide. Why are you scaring Li Li like this?”

Qin Xie only gave Fu Shen a light glance, letting out a disdainful scoff from his throat. His dark eyes remained fixed on Yu Li, and he was in no hurry to check anymore. He released the chin of the beautiful young man, his tone laced with sarcasm.

“Fine, so you are not a Vile Insect, is that enough?” Qin Xie said, staring straight at Yu Li. “Li Li, you do not want to explode into blood, do you?”

Yu Li certainly did not want that. “How do I check? Just by opening my mouth?”

Receiving Yu Li’s unhesitating answer, a subtle smile curled at the corners of Qin Xie’s mouth. As long as the other man was unhappy, he was pleased. “Correct.”

Yu Li knew nothing of the tension between the two men. Fearing that he would explode into a spray of blood in a month, his face turned pale. His fair fingers hurriedly gripped Qin Xie’s arm, and he nervously leaned his face forward.

“Help me look quickly, is there anything?” Thinking of the consequences, Yu Li shuddered. The thought of that creature being in his mouth sent a chill down his spine.

He no longer cared about acting spoiled or ordering Qin Xie to help him check. His dark lashes trembled, and crystal-clear tears filled his eyes. Bracing himself against Qin Xie’s forearm, he opened his mouth.

He did not realize that he had already dropped his facade. This pitifully beautiful ancient human, no longer displaying the haughty, malicious, and spoiled attitude he had before, was now incredibly obedient. He obediently moved his face toward Qin Xie, obediently opened his mouth, and obediently used a soft voice to beg for help. He was obedient in every way.

He was no Vile Insect. Qin Xie was simply using this to check if Yu Li had secretly let that despicable, hypocritical Fu Shen eat his pink, tender tongue when he was not looking.

The beautiful ancient human stood on his tiptoes as much as he could, tilting his head back and opening his lips, revealing the pink interior that contrasted sharply with his fair skin. Yu Li’s eyes were filled with worry and nervousness. He lifted his pink-and-white face, revealing his slightly swollen cheeks; the swelling was fading, leaving only faint blue marks that were only obvious because Yu Li was exceptionally fair.

“Closer.” Qin Xie’s gaze darkened. He reached out to pinch the side of Yu Li’s jaw where it connected to his chin, while his other hand supported the ancient human’s incredibly slim waist, putting him in a position where he was almost hanging off the man.

Yu Li was too busy being afraid to notice Qin Xie’s ulterior motives. Assuming Qin Xie could not see clearly and fearing that a lack of clarity would lead to him being parasitized, he whimpered with a soft, tearful voice. “Is there anything there?”

“I am looking.” Qin Xie appeared extremely serious. He stared unblinkingly at Yu Li’s lips, watching the pink, plump lips widen to reveal his pink tongue.

“Ah.” Yu Li was uncharacteristically docile. As long as his safety was involved, he was obedient, mumbling, “Can you see clearly?”

Qin Xie extended his well-defined fingers into the young man’s mouth, blocking Yu Li’s teeth. He peered intently into the oral cavity. The tongue was pink and tender, as were the lips; the only imperfection was the red swelling on his face.

Yu Li was so prone to crying and so afraid of pain that if Fu Shen had dared to forcefully kiss his tongue, he surely would have received a hard slap. Qin Xie was certain of this.

With this thought, Qin Xie gave Fu Shen a nearly imperceptible glance and saw no obvious slap marks on his face.
