Yu Li secretly thought that since Qin Xie and Fu Shen were both righteous people, they would certainly not let him be bullied.
Yu Li was not afraid of Qi Cai; he simply did not want to die young before he had finished farming enough villain points. After cheering himself up, he showed his ability to adapt. He blinked his watery, light-brown eyes and tilted his youthful, beautiful face to look at the approaching Qi Cai. With a look that was simultaneously cowardly and defiant, he said, “Did you hear me wrong?”
The smugness from moments ago was gone. He blinked repeatedly, attempting to use his pitiable appearance to soften the major villain’s heart. He was a master of bullying the weak while fearing the strong. How could someone be so bold yet so timid at the same time? It was truly contradictory.
Qi Cai was impatient, but he was not stupid. Seeing the ancient human recoil, he could not help but laugh in frustration. He moved to kick Fu Shen, who was standing in his way, out of the path, but Fu Shen dodged with lightning reflexes. Undeterred, Qi Cai rolled his eyes at Qin Xie, who was guarding Yu Li like a mountain. He stopped right in front of Yu Li, who was trying to shrink his head into the floorboards, and looked down at the beautiful little beauty with disdain.
Qi Cai spoke, “Just now, you said you wanted me to feed you.”
Yu Li struggled for a moment and whispered weakly, “No, you heard me wrong.”
Qi Cai’s cold, arrogant face remained taut. “You only need to say yes or no, but this young master does not have a hearing problem. When I hear a lie, my hands get itchy, and I want to hit someone.” As he spoke, he raised his fist, shaking it in front of Yu Li as if threatening him.
Seeing the ancient human get scared to the point of tearing up, shrinking his head, and looking pitiful with his dark lashes soaked in moisture, Qi Cai could not help but soften his heart again. However, Qi Cai was not the type to be good to others without reason, even if he did feel a momentary soft spot.
“So, did you just say you wanted me to feed you?” Qi Cai squinted, his mind racing. He would not feed him for nothing; he would have to hold Yu Li in his arms, have him sit on his lap, and make the ancient human wrap his arms around his waist while he ate. What was the term in those ancient books? Oh, interest. Yes, that was it: interest.
Qi Cai had no shortage of star coins or amethyst money; he wanted Yu Li to repay him with his own person!
Yu Li secretly observed the major villain’s expression. He looked up and down, only to see Qi Cai’s mouth curled in a playful, mocking smile. The skull piercing on his lip radiated a chilling light. Seeming to sense the gaze upon him, the young man bared his white teeth like a clawing, teeth-gnashing demon waiting to pounce and devour him whole.
Ha!
Yu Li involuntarily pressed his lips shut, staring blankly at the enlarged face of the young man, his pearl-white face shrinking back. When he saw Qi Cai laugh out loud, his face showing a look of satisfaction, it was clear that Yu Li’s fearful reaction had pleased him.
Qi Cai flicked his tongue against his teeth, visibly delighted, and did not forget to complain, “You are such a coward.”
Yu Li’s slender body, which had been tense, slowly relaxed at the young man’s childish language. Since he felt no obvious malice, and given his personality, one who could say whatever was needed to survive, he became bold again. Yu Li argued earnestly, “I am not a coward!” Fearing he might be hit, he hurriedly added, blinking at Qi Cai, his tone softening, “Are you going to feed me?”
The ancient human stood obediently in place, tilting his fluffy head, his dark lashes raised to reveal his watery pupils. His pink lips parted as he asked, almost as if he were unsure.
Qi Cai smiled. Having lived a life where he was the center of attention, he was extremely sensitive to gazes and naturally did not miss the stares of the other two men.
Qi Cai feigned reluctance, as if compromising. “Of course. After all, who let you be an ancient human?”
Yu Li’s eyes brightened, but he quickly suppressed his daring thoughts; the major villain was not someone he could bully. However, the opportunity was too rare. Yu Li acted haughty; he did not know Qi Cai’s thoughts and assumed that his status as an ancient human gave him leverage over the villain, preventing him from attacking him.
Even though Yu Li was fearful at heart, he was daring enough when it came to making demands. Yu Li lifted his chin. “Since you are going to feed me, then you need to…”
Before Yu Li could finish, Qi Cai stated his own plan, having no intention of listening to the boy’s reasoning. “Come here. This young master will carry you down.”
At this moment, Qi Cai did not forget to step on the other two men. “Those two are clumsy. What can you expect from them?”
Seeing Yu Li’s dazed expression, Qi Cai gave an unnatural cough and let his gaze fall on Yu Li’s bony, small feet. His heart skipped a beat; how could even his feet be so beautiful?
Qi Cai glanced subtly at the young man’s height. He was a head shorter than him; a bit too short. If they were to do certain things, he would have to spread his hands to support Yu Li’s little bottom to get the full experience. However, when his eyes landed on Yu Li’s waist, his mind swirled; it was too thin and slender. If he held him in his arms, he would only be able to tuck his straight, trembling legs to his side. The frame was so fragile that if one tucked anything more into it, it would explode.
Yet, his personality was so spoiled and malicious; he always loved to cling to others and bully them. Once he was truly bullied, he would likely have a hoarse throat, swollen eyes, and a damp face, and those who had been bullied by him previously would show no mercy.
Qi Cai thought thoughtfully, staring straight at Yu Li as he came back to his senses.
“What are you standing there for? Hurry up and come over. Do you know who this young master is? You are the first boy this young master has ever fed.”
Yu Li gave a dainty snort, unsure if he had even heard him. He stood lazily in place, ready to launch his troublemaking attitude to take revenge on the major villain for scaring him earlier.
Yu Li said, “I am so tired. You come over and carry me down.”
Qi Cai felt a surge of secret joy, but his pride was greater than the heavens. If he walked over just because Yu Li asked him to, what would that make him? Moreover, him walking over to hold the boy was different from the boy voluntarily walking over and opening his arms to beg for a hug.
Qi Cai replied, “Come over yourself.”
Yu Li refused. Without hesitation, he turned his head and called out to Fu Shen, “Fu Shen! Carry me down.”
The reason he did not call Qin Xie was because Qin Xie was always clumsy, and Yu Li did not want to trouble himself. Yu Li then smiled mischievously at Qi Cai with a malicious, triumphant grin. “You can just stand on the side and feed me dinner later.”
