“Female Master, since you’re already here, why not come in and sit for a while?”

A light, airy voice sounded behind her, followed by a wave of fragrance.

Yu Wangge stiffened all over. It felt as if something had stuck itself onto her.Full novel: Villainess Jilted? Empties the Beast Husband’s Treasury and Goes Into Exile — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“I—I just came to take a look.” Yu Wangge turned around, and the next second, her breath caught.

Under the moonlight, the man wore a long red robe, his orange-brown hair tipped with black at the ends, a few strands of multicolored long hair hanging down over his chest.

A pair of narrow, alluring eyes with a hint of cunning watched her.

Yu Wangge suddenly felt short of breath, as if something were squeezing her.

Shi Baiheng looked at Yu Wangge’s clear, lucid eyes and narrowed his own, a flash of killing intent passing through them.

This woman had actually become immune to his Illusion Art.

Yu Wangge came back to her senses and gasped for breath.

Shi Baiheng frowned and stepped forward, his voice perfectly normal. “Since you’re here, Female Master, please come in and sit.”

As Shi Baiheng walked ahead, Yu Wangge stared at his backside.

She remembered that before the original owner had cut off his tail, Shi Baiheng’s tail was often visible—nine tails, absolutely beautiful.

What a shame.

Yu Wangge sighed in regret. What a sin. Such a pity. But she was just an ordinary person—her life came first, her life came first.

Shi Baiheng, eyes full of disgust, led the woman inside. Though he didn’t know how Yu Wangge had come to her senses.

Tomorrow was the last day. If this woman noticed anything amiss,

then their plan would fall apart at the final step.

Inside, once the lights came on, Yu Wangge noticed that Shi Baiheng actually had small spots on his cheeks—very pretty.

Seeing Yu Wangge staring at him with that look again, Shi Baiheng wanted nothing more than to kill her on the spot.

Killing a piece of trash would be effortless, but because of Interstellar Law, they could only wait until after the divorce tomorrow to make their move.

Shi Baiheng suppressed the killing intent in his heart and gave a bewitching, foxlike smile.

He’d endured this long—just a few more hours. He could wait.

The moment Yu Wangge sat down, she stared straight at the roast chicken on the table, eyes glazed over.

Her gaze was so blatant that Shi Baiheng had no choice but to push the roast chicken toward her.

“Thank you!” Yu Wangge pulled the plate in front of her, glanced left and right, picked up the napkin beside her to wipe her hands, then tore off a drumstick and devoured it.

Shi Baiheng’s hand froze.

Thank you?

Then a scrutinizing gaze fell on Yu Wangge. She had never once said thank you to them—she had always carried herself with lofty arrogance.

After eating and drinking her fill, Yu Wangge noticed Shi Baiheng watching her. She raised an eyebrow, and the next second, leaned herself against him. She clearly felt the man’s body stiffen.

The confusion in Shi Baiheng’s eyes flashed and vanished. He was overthinking it—this woman was still just as repulsive.

Yu Wangge had only meant to scare him a little before getting up, but her hand accidentally pressed against the man’s abdominal muscles.

Yu Wangge gritted her teeth, gave them a few feels, then stood up. “Ahem, ahem—I still have things to do. I’ll head back now.”

Having copped her feel, Yu Wangge hurried up and walked outside, but she didn’t go far—she hid outside to watch Shi Baiheng’s movements.

Shi Baiheng looked down at the spot Yu Wangge had touched, wanting nothing more than to cut it off with a knife.

In the end, he got up and headed for the bathroom.

Seeing there was no movement, Yu Wangge rushed to Shi Baiheng’s warehouse, emptied everything inside, returned to her own room, closed the door, and went into her Spatial Dimension to take a look.

A house was packed to the brim, with quite a few things even left outside.

She discovered that Jiang Xuanyu, this Vermilion Bird, was quite fond of collecting weapons—more than half the pile was weapons. Perfect; she could use one for self-defense on the road.

With food, supplies, and life-saving gear all gathered, Yu Wangge took a cloak and put it on.

If she couldn’t survive in the interstellar realm, perhaps The Great Wilds would offer her a way out.

Yu Wangge grabbed her things and fled in the middle of the night.

If she waited until tomorrow, she probably wouldn’t be able to escape at all.

The moment Yu Wangge stepped outside, she spotted Starships flying overhead, along with some spherical objects zipping around.

Yu Wangge’s jaw dropped in shock. What a spectacular sight!

She found a concealed spot to hide, planning to sneak in with the group later—after all, she didn’t know the route.

In the book, a group of people was transported by Starship to a location, and then the overseers led the crowd on foot toward The Great Wilds.

She had to get on that ship!

Yu Wangge wasn’t the least bit sleepy now. As the sky grew brighter and brighter, her nerves tightened, terrified that she might fail to escape.

Suddenly, a burst of noise caught her attention.

Yu Wangge rose and looked over. A group of people with shackles on their ankles was being herded along, several figures beside them cracking whips and shouting. The group included men and women, some in human form, some in Beast-form.

Yu Wangge’s eyes lit up. This might be the first batch of exiles.

She hurried to her feet and moved closer. Just as she was wondering how to slip into the group, one of the Beastmen suddenly went berserk, injuring several people in a row.

At that moment, fear spread across the crowd’s faces, and they all dropped to their knees.

Yu Wangge froze and looked back. On a hovering light-disc—

Huo Chiye stood there in military uniform, golden hair, his scrutinizing, commanding gaze sweeping over the scene just once, and it was enough to inspire dread.

Only the hairstyle on top of his head looked a bit off.

Yu Wangge quickly knelt down like the others, not daring to lift her head.

The people around her trembled in fear, some even letting their ears or tails slip out.

So this was Bloodline Suppression?

Huo Chiye swept an irritated glance over the scene. “Move faster.”

“Yes, yes, sir!”

Then the group was herded onto the Starship.

Yu Wangge’s steps quickened at once.

Huo Chiye caught sight of a black-clad figure and frowned, feeling a strange sense of familiarity—but he quickly dismissed the thought.

How could someone as aloof and self-important as Yu Wangge possibly appear here?

Thinking that the annulment of his marriage would be settled soon, Huo Chiye withdrew his oppressive aura, then glanced at the person beside him.

“Let’s go!”

He had more important matters waiting for him.

The Federation Tribunal had long been surrounded by crowd after crowd of onlookers—after all, today’s case concerned the lifelong matters of the interstellar realm’s elite.

“That vicious woman is finally getting her comeuppance.”

“Exactly. I’ve loathed her for ages. If it were me, I’d have served those beast husbands hand and foot, treated them like royalty.”

A group of women wore infatuated expressions. Although Females held the highest status in the beast world, those were five elite colonels—even the greatest couldn’t escape the Matching Mechanism.

“I heard the Federation is making an exception this time, letting the five colonels personally choose their Female Master!”

“Really? Then doesn’t that mean I have a chance too!”

Just then, a chorus of gasps rose from the crowd.

“They’re here, they’re here.”

Everyone looked over, and sorrow filled their eyes. The once-imposing colonels—the dreadbird Beastmen—had apparently been tormented into this pitiful state by that woman.

Seeing the pitying looks on the faces of those around him, Shi Baiheng felt quite satisfied with his disguise.

Huo Chiye spoke up, “Did Yu Wangge send someone to call for her?”

Shi Baiheng’s lips curled into a sinister smile. “She did. Someone was specifically sent to tell her that Chu Yanyi’s Rutting Period has arrived.”

Beside them, Chu Yanyi’s face darkened, and he said with disgust, “Don’t mention her. Disgusting!”
