“Serves you right.” Shi Baiheng glanced at Chu Yanyi and said mockingly.

Normally, he couldn’t stand Chu Yanyi’s arrogant attitude.

“And what makes you so great?” Chu Yanyi shot a glance at his backside.Full novel: Villainess Jilted? Empties the Beast Husband’s Treasury and Goes Into Exile — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“You—!”

“Alright, alright, stop arguing.” Jiang Xuanyu hurriedly stepped in to stop them. It would be far too embarrassing if a fight broke out.

“Shut up, you bald chicken!”

“Damn it!” Jiang Xuanyu flushed red with anger. What was wrong with these two? Why were they attacking everyone indiscriminately?

“That’s enough. Let’s go in first. After today, we each go our own way.” Huo Chiye frowned, cutting off the bickering, and walked inside first.

The group had never gotten along well. If it weren’t for Yu Wangge, they wouldn’t even be living under the same roof.

“That vicious woman Yu Wangge—after today, I’m going to pluck out every last one of her hairs!”

Jiang Xuanyu said viciously. If it weren’t for that woman, he wouldn’t have been laughed at.

At the mention of Yu Wangge’s name, killing intent flashed simultaneously in everyone’s eyes.

Once they were seated, they simply waited for that woman Yu Wangge.

After a while, one of them came rushing over in a panic. “Bad news, Colonel! Yu Wangge isn’t in her room—and all her things are gone too!”

“What?!”

They all shot up from their chairs.

Chu Yanyi sneered. He knew that woman would never behave herself.

“What are you standing around for? Find her!” Huo Chiye roared, slamming the table as he rose to his feet.

The group then flew swiftly toward Yu Wangge’s room, not even hesitating to use their Mental Power.

“Hey, wait for me!”

Jiang Xuanyu, stuck running on the ground, watched the others flying overhead in fury.

Damn it. If Yu Wangge hadn’t plucked out his feathers, he—a proud Vermilion Bird—wouldn’t be stuck running on the ground.

When they stood at the door of Yu Wangge’s empty room, the killing intent radiating from them was impossible to hide.

“Damn it! When did that woman find out?” Huo Chiye kicked the door, and the entire door came crashing down in the next second.

Shi Baiheng walked in slowly and noticed something odd. “How could Yu Wangge have carried off this much stuff by herself? Even the tables and chairs are gone?”

They all moved inside. Yu Wangge was a cripple, without a shred of Mental Power in her body—there was no way she could have taken so many things.

“Could we all have been deceived by that woman Yu Wangge?”

“Impossible. I’m certain she has no Mental Power whatsoever.”

Chu Yanyi said coldly. As one of ancient Divine Beast bloodline, he could perceive this better than any of them.

“Let’s find her first.” Huo Chiye pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration. With Yu Wangge gone, all their previous plans were ruined.

“Maybe she’s hiding somewhere. Search first. Even if we have to capture her, we drag her back for the divorce—otherwise I wouldn’t mind becoming a widower!”

Chilling coldness emanated from Chu Yanyi, accompanied by the crackle of lightning.

For once, the group unanimously nodded in agreement.

Just then, Jiang Xuanyu came running back, so furious that his Sparrow Plumes were standing on end. His face bright red, he glared at them, eyes brimming with grievance.

“All my treasures are gone!”

That was his weapons collection, which he had spent so long gathering!

They exchanged glances, then ordered the people behind them to go check.

“Reporting to Colonel Huo, your… your warehouse is empty too.”

The moment the man finished speaking, an invisible pressure pressed down on him until he could barely breathe.

Immediately afterward, news of stolen warehouses came in from the others as well.

“Report, Colonel Chu—your warehouse is empty too.”

“Lord Bai, yours is gone as well.”

“Colonel Shi, yours has vanished too!”

“With this many missing, it can’t be that woman Yu Wangge. She doesn’t have that kind of ability.”

Shi Baiheng leaned aside with a displeased expression. Whether the warehouses were there or not didn’t concern him.

It was just that the woman had run off. If she was gone, their marriage couldn’t be dissolved, and they might really be bound together forever. Just thinking about it made him sick to his stomach.

“Maybe Yu Wangge was abducted by someone—and that someone might be a Spatial-type?” Jiang Xuanyu said, stroking his chin.

Huo Chiye suddenly recalled the figure he’d glimpsed beside the Starship that morning.

“Perhaps I know where Yu Wangge is—on the Starship headed for the savage wilds.”

Shi Baiheng let out a mocking laugh. “So the woman has some self-awareness after all. Still, she should at least have waited until the marriage was dissolved.”

Murderous intent flashed in everyone’s eyes, their hatred for Yu Wangge deepening—they looked ready to ignore Interstellar Law and kill her outright.

Chu Yanyi shot to his feet and said coldly, “I’ll go capture her and bring her back.”

“I’m coming too,” Huo Chiye said.

The other three nodded as well, and that very night they boarded a Starship to intercept her.

On the Starship.

Yu Wangge was sprawled in her seat, fast asleep, without a trace of fear on her face. Anyone who didn’t know better would think she was off on vacation.

Suddenly the ship lurched violently, then hung suspended in midair. Yu Wangge jolted awake in fright.

She looked out the window and her eyes went wide with shock. So this was the outer space she’d seen on TV?

Pitch black—terrifying.

“Brace yourselves! We’re under Zerg attack!”

The smile that had just lifted Yu Wangge’s lips instantly collapsed. Was this happening because she’d boarded a different Starship than the original owner of this body had in the book—was the world punishing her for it?

“Ah!”

The next second, a grotesque, ferocious-looking monster appeared outside the window, and Yu Wangge screamed out loud.

Chaos erupted all around as the ship, battered by the Zerg assault, began to falter.

Suddenly, a blinding bolt of lightning incinerated the surrounding monsters to ash. A black dragon burst out from within, then transformed into a human form.

“Thank goodness—it’s Colonel Black Dragon! We’re saved!”

Yu Wangge’s mouth twitched and she lowered her head even further. They were saved. She was doomed.

“Yu Wangge!” A voice grinding through clenched teeth carried clearly through the glass to her ears.

Chu Yanyi hadn’t expected Yu Wangge to actually be on this Starship.

“Clear out the trash around us first—we’ll settle the rest of the accounts slowly!” Huo Chiye, who had come to Chu Yanyi’s side, had also spotted Yu Wangge.

With a single punch, Huo Chiye wiped out a whole swath of enemies, tearing apart the massive beast before him with one hand.

The ship was struck again, and Yu Wangge grimaced in pain. Outside, every strike from Chu Yanyi and Huo Chiye felled a pile of monsters.

Jiang Xuanyu and Shi Baiheng piloted the Starship, firing continuously.

Bai Yuchuan emitted sound waves that slowed the Zerg’s movements, then a razor-sharp pillar of water pierced clean through them.

Seeing the strength of these men, Yu Wangge’s jaw dropped in shock. These were the ones the original owner had crippled in their vital spots—if this was them now, how terrifying must they have been before?

Soon the Zerg around them grew fewer and fewer, and Yu Wangge realized the outside wasn’t as dark as she’d imagined.

The Starship was intercepted, and the group orderly transferred to another one.

Yu Wangge trembled all over, not daring to move.

Chu Yanyi stepped into the starship, his sharp eyes locking onto her. “Female Master, it’s time to go home!”

Yu Wangge’s heart trembled. “C-can I not go back?”

A bloodthirsty smile hung on Chu Yanyi’s lips. “No!”

The four men behind him stepped forward one after another.

Just as Chu Yanyi reached out and grabbed Yu Wangge, the starship was violently struck.

“Damn it, those bastards are back. Jiang Xuanyu, go pilot it!”

Huo Chiye and the others blocked the entrance.

Terrified, Yu Wangge clutched tightly at the front of Chu Yanyi’s clothes.

Chu Yanyi froze for a moment, then pulled her aside and turned to join the fight.

Yu Wangge glanced outside. The thing out there was even bigger than the one before. She watched the black mass draw closer and closer, until it enveloped the entire starship.

“Not good—this thing is about to self-destruct!”

The next second, a thunderous explosion rang out.

Yu Wangge only felt herself being wrapped in someone’s embrace, and then she lost consciousness.

…

“Jiang Xuanyu, how did you turn into a little kid?”
