The two of them noticed Yu Wangge’s gaze, then looked at the three people beside her eating heartily, Huo Chiye’s golden eyes full of disdain.

Once night came and their bodies recovered, hunting something wouldn’t be a problem.

Chu Yanyi’s black eyes were covered in frost as he withdrew his gaze contemptuously.Full novel: Villainess Jilted? Empties the Beast Husband’s Treasury and Goes Into Exile — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

So they really could be bought off with just a little kindness.

Yu Wangge looked at the two unmoved little ones, her brow raised slightly. No wonder they looked a bit older among the group—they really could hold out.

But she had plenty of patience.

After resting for a short while, the group set off again. Jiang Xuanyu and Shi Baiheng, having eaten something, followed behind Yu Wangge with ease.

Huo Chiye and Chu Yanyi’s faces grew uglier and uglier, looking as if they might collapse at any moment.

Yet the two of them stubbornly held on until the next rest stop.

Yu Wangge sat down with her arms crossed, resting her chin on her hand as she watched the two not far away, lost in thought.

These people were full of mysteries. Though the original owner had been somewhat obsessive, finding children who looked exactly like her five beast husbands among so many kids—wasn’t that far too coincidental?

Did things really work out that neatly in this world?

Chu Yanyi looked at Huo Chiye beside him, whose complexion wasn’t looking too good, and teased, “Why don’t you learn from those three fools?”

Huo Chiye’s face darkened. “If you want to go, go yourself.”

Even as he said this, Huo Chiye was truly feeling awful. It had been a very, very long time since he’d experienced hunger—this feeling was like something relentlessly slamming against his stomach.

Chu Yanyi looked at Huo Chiye, cold sweat beading on his face, raised an eyebrow, and stopped meddling. Out of the corner of his eye, he glanced at Yu Wangge sitting not far away.

This woman was still as vicious as before.

Yu Wangge noticed the gaze directed at her, and her eyes flicked to the side—Chi Ye looked like he was about to keel over at any moment.

Huo Chiye gritted his teeth, his sweat-dampened golden hair sticking to his forehead, making him look pitiful and small.

Shi Baiheng couldn’t help glancing at Yu Wangge too. He just wanted to know whether this woman would step in.

Yu Wangge calmly looked away.

Then came a loud thud.

When they looked up again, that small figure had already collapsed into the sand.

Wang Yan, who had been silent all along, lifted his eyes for a glance, then collapsed as well.

Just like that, the two children fainted. The people around them felt a wave of sympathy, but no one stepped forward. In these two days, several people had already died—they were only hoping to survive themselves; who had time to care about others?

“Ah, don’t they have an older sister? That sister, honestly—how can she not look after them?”

“How is she supposed to look after them? You expect one young girl to carry five children?”

“Worry about yourselves first, honestly.”

Listening to the chatter around her, Yu Wangge sighed helplessly, picked up her water flask, and stood, walking toward the two.

Out of the corner of his eye, Chu Yanyi saw the woman walking toward him—and the next second, he genuinely fainted.

Yu Wangge crouched down, pinched Huo Chiye’s cheeks, and poured a bit of Spirit Spring into his mouth, then tossed him aside and roughly dragged Chu Yanyi over to give him some too.

Shi Baiheng and Jiang Xuanyu watched the scene.

Yu Wangge carried the two over, dropped them beside the three, then rolled over and went to sleep.

In a daze, Huo Chiye gradually regained consciousness. He sat up and looked at the people around him.

“What happened?”

Shi Baiheng crossed his arms and shot him a glance. “Did dropping to F-Rank drop your IQ too?”

Huo Chiye’s face darkened. He looked at his restored body, then at the group’s current location—apparently Shi Baiheng and Jiang Xuanyu had moved them to avoid being exposed.

Chu Yanyi also gradually woke amid the group’s bickering. Once awake, he sat silently to the side, his black eyes gazing down at the sand with a complicated expression.

Yu Wangge had actually stepped in to help them.

Huo Chiye tested himself—his strength seemed mostly recovered.

So that woman, Yu Wangge…

“Yu Wangge has a Spatial Dimension, and my Illusion Art doesn’t work on her.” Shi Baiheng’s alluring eyes lowered, the hand holding his fan slowly clenching tight.

All of them frowned in unison.

“But there’s no trace of Mental Power on her at all. Without Mental Power, how did she use a Spatial Dimension?”

Shi Baiheng looked at Chu Yanyi and continued, “That’s exactly what’s suspicious about her. And I suspect the thief who robbed our warehouse was Yu Wangge.”

“In that case, Yu Wangge can’t die yet. What if our Mental Power is connected to her too?” Bai Yuchuan’s cool voice rang out, his Adam’s apple bobbing. He truly wanted to see what Yu Wangge was like now.

A flash of cold light passed through Chu Yanyi’s black eyes. “Then she wouldn’t deserve to die just once—she’d deserve to die ten thousand times.”

Shi Baiheng rose and looked at Huo Chiye and Chu Yanyi. “Don’t end up starving to death before you find anything out. Yu Wangge is already suspicious. If you want to expose yourselves, be my guest.”

Yu Wangge could slay Demonic Beasts, and she was shrouded in mysteries. If she struck while they were still children, they’d truly have no chance of winning.

She was immune to his abilities—that alone meant she could kill him at any moment.

So he absolutely could not let Yu Wangge learn his true identity.

Chu Yanyi pressed his thin lips together. Though deeply unwilling, he knew Shi Baiheng’s concerns were valid.

Too many uncertainties surrounded them. If Yu Wangge grew suspicious, it would only work against them.

Huo Chiye raked a hand through his golden hair, an inexplicable irritation rising in his chest. “Got it.”

“And that’s not all—my weapons vault!” Jiang Xuanyu got so worked up that the Sparrow Plume on his head popped out again.

Those were all his treasures, the work of his heart—and they’d been looted clean by that vicious woman Yu Wangge.

“Pathetic.” Shi Baiheng gave Jiang Xuanyu a disdainful look. Thankfully, his own warehouse held nothing of value, just everyday necessities.

Chu Yanyi’s fist clenched. Wasn’t his warehouse full of his treasures too?

And some of them had been with him since childhood.

Bai Yuchuan watched the others but still didn’t mention that strange water—it was, after all, only a guess for now.

Not far away, a woman with a bag on her back was walking toward them.

[System, are you sure all five male leads are here?]

[Confirmed, Host!]

Su Baizhi hurried over, panting.

[Shouldn’t the five male leads be in the Interstellar Federation? How did they end up in this godforsaken place?]

As she traveled, Su Baizhi complained to the system. The Interstellar Federation would have been so much better—no worries about food or clothing, no exhaustion. But this desert? She’d been walking for three days already!

If she hadn’t transmigrated into a book to become the Female Master of the five interstellar bigshots, she wouldn’t have to work this hard.

[Host, a slight complication has occurred. We hope you can reach the male leads’ side as soon as possible and redeem them.]

Su Baizhi thought of the five people’s miserable state in the original story, and a wave of sympathy rose in her heart.

This Yu Wangge really was sick in the head, torturing people like that.

[System, how far are we from them?]

[Two hundred meters!]
