Chu Yanyi took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and tried his best to ignore the hunger.

Huo Chiye kept a stiff face. As the king of all beasts, there was no way he would ever submit to anyone!

The roasted chicken in Yu Wangge’s hands quickly caught the attention of the escorting officers, and the two of them walked toward her.Full novel: Villainess Jilted? Empties the Beast Husband’s Treasury and Goes Into Exile — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The others, seeing this scene, immediately gloated.

Serves her right for showing off. Now she’s going to be punished.

“Where did this come from?”

One of the officers snatched the bag from Yu Wangge’s hands and opened it—only to find it empty.

The two exchanged confused glances, then a cold knife was pressed against Yu Wangge’s neck.

“Talk. Where did the food come from?”

“That’s all I had. It’s gone now. The exile rules never said we couldn’t bring food.”

Yu Wangge looked at the knife at her neck, completely calm. She raised her eyes to look at the man and smiled.

Everyone froze. There really wasn’t such a rule.

Did they not bring food because they didn’t want to?

No—it was because they hadn’t had time.

The officer glared viciously at Yu Wangge, then scanned her body. No Spatial Dimension ring, no necklace—apparently she really didn’t have one.

He threw the bag on the ground and turned to leave.

Yu Wangge shrugged, quickly picked up the bag, and dusted it off. Looks like I’ll have to be more careful next time.

Before the group could rest for long, they were driven onward.

“Come on, at least let us rest a bit longer. This is brutal.”

Hearing this, an officer nearby cracked his whip, sending it lashing over without leaving a trace. “You think you’re on vacation? You do whatever you want?”

After a few lashes, everyone around instantly fell in line, not daring to make a sound.

Yu Wangge led Bai Yuchuan along leisurely at the back of the group. Having replenished their energy the day before, the two of them had no problems now.

The other four weren’t doing so well.

Not only had they not rested well, the hunger in their stomachs was constantly tormenting them, and each of them wore a grim expression.

Watching the relaxed Bai Yuchuan beside Yu Wangge, they were instantly filled with regret. If they’d known, they wouldn’t have been so stubborn yesterday.

After walking for half a day, the group finally reached a small river.

“Alright, take a break.”

As soon as the officer finished speaking, the crowd swarmed toward the river.

Yu Wangge walked over curiously. How amazing—there was desert all around, yet here was a small river.

She wondered if there were any fish in it.

Chu Yanyi and the other three stood stiff-faced to the side. They were small and couldn’t push through the crowd.

Yu Wangge walked to the downstream end, rolled up her trouser legs, and stepped into the water, looking around curiously.

Just as she was wondering, a fish weighing ten jin leapt right out of the water, and Yu Wangge instinctively reached out and caught it.

Everyone in the river went silent.

“Holy crap, there are fish!”

Someone shouted, and the crowd dove into the river one after another. The clear little river soon turned murky.

Bai Yuchuan was at the river’s edge, feeling the coolness of the water. The heat in his body eased considerably, and it felt so good he almost lost control and let his fish tail slip out.

The next second, he was scooped up.

“Let’s go, let’s go!”

With one hand holding two big fish and the other carrying Bai Yuchuan, Yu Wangge pushed her way out.

Bai Yuchuan, being carried along, “?”

Yu Wangge walked over to the four and set Bai Yuchuan down.

The four of them stared at the fish in her hands, unable to hold back their swallowing—she was just too hungry.

Yu Wangge watched the envoy walking over and obsequiously handed him a fish. “You’ve worked hard, Lord Envoy. You see, I still have five little brothers—could you make an exception for us?”

The envoy glanced at the fish in her hand and gave a disdainful snort. “We don’t need to eat.”

Yu Wangge’s eyes darted around. “Oh, I understand, I understand.”

She rummaged through her pockets. “This is all I have. Please accept it, my lord.”

Seeing the few empty pouches Yu Wangge pulled out, the man snorted coldly, snatched the things from her hand, and walked off toward the others.

“Whew, that was close!”

Jiang Xuanyu looked at the fish in Yu Wangge’s hand and raised his brow smugly. He was a fire-type—if this woman wanted to eat cooked fish, she’d have no choice but to come to him.

But who would have thought that Yu Wangge, whose pouch had clearly been empty just moments ago, would pull a lighter out of her pocket!

Chu Yanyi instantly stood up. This woman—she had a Spatial Dimension!

Huo Chiye and Shi Baiheng naturally realized it too. Only Jiang Xuanyu was still fuming over the fact that Yu Wangge had a lighter.

“Big Sis, how come we never knew you had a Spatial Dimension before?” Shi Baiheng stepped forward, looking at her with a face full of curiosity.

Yu Wangge smiled at him, then the smile at the corner of her mouth abruptly dropped. “None of your business!”

“Come on, Xiao Chuan, Big Sis will grill you a fish.”

Bai Yuchuan sensed the shift in everyone’s emotions, the corner of his mouth lifting slightly. “Okay, Big Sis.”

Yu Wangge went to the riverside to gather some dry branches, started a fire, and began grilling the fish. She dug out some seasonings and sprinkled them on—it smelled absolutely divine!

The sound of swallowing reached her ears.

Yu Wangge lifted her eyes and glanced at the four of them.

“Big Sis, I’m hungry.” Shi Baiheng came up and tugged at the corner of her clothes, looking at her pitifully.

Yu Wangge raised an eyebrow. “Want some?”

Shi Baiheng nodded repeatedly.

“If you eat my food, you have to listen to me. Understood?”

Shi Baiheng nodded earnestly. “I’ll definitely listen to everything you say, Big Sis.”

Although Yu Wangge didn’t quite believe him, she didn’t say anything. One step at a time, after all.

She had plenty of patience.

Watching this scene, Jiang Xuanyu’s jaw dropped. That actually works?

“Boo hoo hoo, Big Sis, I’m hungry too, I want grilled fish too!” Jiang Xuanyu rushed forward and hugged Yu Wangge’s leg directly.

“Big Sis, Big Sis!” Ah! It smells so good!

Jiang Xuanyu took a huge deep breath.

Yu Wangge smiled with satisfaction. Very good, that’s two. What about the remaining two?

Yu Wangge lifted her eyes to look at Chi Ye and Wang Yan, who stood ahead with tense little faces.
