The car soon left the narrow street and merged into the city’s main road.

Lu Feng looked out the window, where the morning sun cast a hazy golden glow over the skyscrapers.

This city was forever glamorous, yet there were always those who lived in its shadows.Full novel: Villainess Tames the Mad Male Lead — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He withdrew his gaze and looked straight ahead.

Soon, he noticed that Lin Ran drove steadily, yet not slowly, changing lanes and overtaking with ease.

Lu Feng was somewhat surprised.

He had assumed she always relied on chauffeurs.

“Did you sleep well last night?” she suddenly asked.

“Well enough.”

“I didn’t sleep well,” Lin Ran said calmly. “I had a nightmare where you ran away.”

Lu Feng glanced at her.

Lin Ran took off her sunglasses and casually tossed them onto the center console, turning her face to smile at him.

“Then I caught you and locked you in a cage.”

She said this lightly, as if joking.

But Lu Feng knew she was serious.

A vicious, insane woman, dreaming of controlling him even in her sleep.

*

Half an hour later, the car stopped in the underground garage of the city’s most upscale shopping mall.

The garage was filled with luxury cars of all kinds, the polished floors reflecting dazzling lights, the air itself seeming to carry the scent of money.

Lin Ran turned off the engine and pulled out the key with practiced ease.

“Get out.”

Lu Feng followed her into the express elevator.

With a “ding—!”, the elevator stopped at the fifth floor, the men’s clothing section.

As soon as they stepped out, every brand on the signboards opposite was one Lu Feng had only ever seen in magazines.

Lin Ran walked straight into one of the stores.

The staff clearly recognized her and immediately approached. “Good morning, Miss Lin.”

“The clothes you reserved have arrived and are all in the VIP room.”

“Mm.” Lin Ran nodded, gesturing to Lu Feng behind her. “Take him to try them on.”

Lu Feng stood still. “I don’t need new clothes.”

Lin Ran turned to look at him, her expression calm and unreadable, but her words carried a biting sarcasm.

“If my personal servant dresses so shabbily, whose face do you think it reflects poorly on?”

She stepped closer, lowering her voice. “Lu Feng, don’t forget you belong to me now. Your clothes, your words, your actions—they all represent my taste.”

“Do you understand?”

Her words were blunt and cruel.

Lu Feng’s fingers curled slightly at his sides.

He looked at Lin Ran, at the entitled possessiveness in her eyes, and a deep sense of helplessness and humiliation seized him once again.

“Go try them on. Don’t make me repeat myself.”

The staff watched the tense standoff between the two, not daring to intervene.

After a few seconds of silence, Lu Feng finally averted his gaze and followed the staff to the VIP room.

The VIP room was another world entirely.

Soft white carpets, leather sofas, champagne-colored walls, and racks holding over a dozen pre-selected, coordinated outfits.

Lin Ran sat on the sofa, casually flipping through a fashion magazine placed nearby.

The staff took a set from the rack.

“Mr. Lu, please try this set first. Miss Lin specifically chose it for you.”

Lu Feng took the clothes and inadvertently caught sight of the price tag, his fingers trembling slightly.

He walked into the fitting room and closed the door.

The fitting room was spacious, with mirrored walls on both sides and perfectly arranged lighting.

Silently, he removed his old clothes and put on the new ones, piece by piece.

The feel of the fabric against his skin was unfamiliar, but he had to admit… it was comfortable.

Once fully dressed, he took a deep breath, opened the door, and stepped out.

“Wow.” The clerk couldn’t help but let out a soft exclamation of admiration.

Lin Ran looked up at the sound.

Then her body stilled.

The light gray shirt made his skin appear even fairer, while the black trousers outlined his long, straight legs—far more handsome than any magazine model.

He stood there, brows slightly furrowed, his cool eyes tinged with unease.

Yet within that unease was a strange, compelling allure.

Lin Ran rose from the sofa and slowly walked over to him.

She circled him once, as if admiring a work of art.

Then she stopped, reached up to adjust his collar, her fingertips grazing the skin at the side of his neck almost imperceptibly.

Lu Feng instinctively wanted to pull away but restrained himself.

Her fingertips were cool, touching and then withdrawing.

Like a light butterfly briefly alighting.

Lin Ran took a step back, one hand resting on her chin. “Fashion truly is completed by the face.”

Lu Feng blinked.

Lin Ran chuckled softly. “I mean, with a face like yours, even a burlap sack would look good.”

Lu Feng’s ears grew slightly warm, and he averted his gaze.

He tugged somewhat uncomfortably at the restrained cuffs of his sleeves, but this subtle movement, in the eyes of others, held an inexplicably restrained allure.

Lin Ran’s eyes narrowed almost imperceptibly.

For the next half hour, he tried on outfit after outfit.

The final set was a light blue shirt paired with white casual trousers, layered with a white cable-knit vest.

Lu Feng took the clothes and walked into the fitting room. Just as he was about to close the door, Lin Ran suddenly said, “Wait.”

She stood up, took a belt from the rack, and handed it to him. “Pair it with this.”

Lu Feng took the belt. The silver-gray metal buckle felt cold. He closed the door and began changing.

Outside, Lin Ran was about to return to the sofa when a mechanical voice suddenly echoed in her mind.

[Ding! New plunder mission issued!]

[Host, please complete three intimate interactions with male lead Lu Feng within 24 hours. Mission progress (0/3)]

[Mission failure: +20 misfortune points]

After hearing the announcement, Lin Ran licked her small canine tooth, her starry eyes glimmering with a hint of amusement.

She turned and knocked on the door.

From inside came Lu Feng’s clear, magnetic voice, “Almost done.”

“Open the door.”

“I’m changing…”

“Open the door.”

Her tone was calm yet carried an undeniable pressure.

A few seconds later, the fitting room door opened.

Lu Feng had already put on the shirt and trousers, leaving only the vest undone.

He frowned slightly. “What are you doing?”

Lin Ran didn’t respond.

She pushed the door open, stepped inside, closed it behind her, and locked it.

With a soft click, the fitting room instantly became a confined space.

Her gaze fixed intently on him.

“You—”

Before he could finish, Lin Ran pressed a hand against his chest, pushing him backward forcefully.

Thud!

Lu Feng’s back hit the cold mirrored wall.

Lin Ran gripped his shoulders, rose onto her toes, and kissed him.

The kiss came without warning!

Lu Feng’s pupils contracted sharply, his mind going blank.

Immediately afterward, a wave of immense shame crashed over him like a tidal wave.

Lin Ran was actually forcing a kiss on him in the fitting room!

The situation left him stunned.

He should push her away immediately, but his body felt as if it were nailed in place!

Anger and disgust surged but were swallowed back by the frantic pounding of his heart!

He felt her soft lips, her warm breath, her slick tongue.

“Mmph…”

A suppressed sound escaped his throat as Lu Feng tried to turn his head away.

But Lin Ran only held him tighter.

Her fingers tangled in his hair, forcing him to lower his head and yield to her kiss.

This kiss wasn’t like before, carrying humiliation or provocation.

It was focused, deep… with a certain urgent demand.

Reason screamed to push away, yet his body couldn’t help but respond.

Lu Feng despised himself for this.

His pride in his self-control felt utterly laughable at this moment.

Footsteps sounded outside the fitting room.

It was the shop assistant organizing clothes, the rustling of plastic bags audible.

Those sounds were close, right outside the door.

Lu Feng’s body tensed.

Afraid the person outside might hear, afraid of being discovered, afraid this illicit intimacy would be exposed to the light.

But Lin Ran didn’t care at all.

She even lightly bit his lip, then pulled back slightly, her lips still touching his, whispering in a breathy voice, “Be good, relax.”

“You…” Lu Feng’s voice was hoarse, “What exactly do you want?”

“To kiss you.”

Lin Ran said it as if it were the most natural thing, then leaned in to kiss him again.
