Lu Feng turned his head.

Su Wanyu stood not far away, her makeup and hair done, looking much more polished than usual.

Beside her stood a boy with a somewhat roguish air.Full novel: Villainess Tames the Mad Male Lead — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Lu Feng recognized him.

A senior from the Finance Department in his fourth year, named Du Hao, from a very well-off family.

He remembered Su Wanyu complaining before that this man’s way of doing things was something she disliked.

But who she chose to be friends with was Su Wanyu’s own business.

Lu Feng had no intention of saying more.

A bright smile spread across Su Wanyu’s face as she hurried forward, about to speak, when she saw Lin Ran approaching from the side.

Her smile instantly froze.

“Senior Lin Ran, what a coincidence,” Su Wanyu’s voice was as sunny as ever, but there was a hidden edge to her smile.

Lin Ran acted as if she didn’t know Su Wanyu had already turned dark, naturally linking her arm with Lu Feng’s. “Yes, what a coincidence.”

Beijing was so big—how could this be a coincidence?

It was probably the plot force at work.

Lin Ran’s gaze shifted to the man beside Su Wanyu—Du Hao.

In the original story, he could barely be considered the third male lead.

A wealthy young master from Jiangcheng, with a pretty arrogant personality.

In the early stages of the plot, he would persistently pursue the female lead, and his chauvinistic behavior was something the female lead deeply despised.

Who would have thought that the dark version of the female lead was quite talented, immediately learning to leverage others’ influence.

Lin Ran curled her lips into a smile.

After the four of them came face-to-face, the atmosphere grew somewhat strange.

Su Wanyu showed no intention of introducing Du Hao, and Du Hao didn’t want to take the initiative to greet the people opposite him either.

It would make him seem cheap, lacking in style.

Fortunately, the movie tickets were soon checked, and the screening began.

Lin Ran, still holding Lu Feng’s arm, walked toward the ticket check.

Noticing Su Wanyu’s gaze fixed intently on Lu Feng’s back, Du Hao frowned, his tone disdainful. “Do you like your childhood sweetheart?”

Su Wanyu’s heart tightened, and she quickly averted her eyes to look at him. “N-no… I’m just worried about him.”

Du Hao was deeply chauvinistic—she couldn’t let him know she liked Lu Feng.

“Worried about what? Are you afraid Lin Ran will eat him?” Du Hao’s tone remained displeased.

Su Wanyu pursed her lips and changed the subject. “We should go in now.”

Having finally secured this date, Du Hao restrained his emotions and followed her inside.

Once inside, they discovered their seats were exactly one row behind Lu Feng and Lin Ran.

Watching the two figures sitting side by side in front of her, Su Wanyu tightly clenched the milk tea in her hand.

The theater lights soon dimmed, and the movie began.

It was a romantic art film, with a clichéd plot but beautiful cinematography.

Lu Feng had no interest in this kind of movie, but he forced himself to watch it anyway.

The entire theater was filled with couple seats—two single sofas placed side by side with no armrest in between.

Lin Ran had bought a large bucket of popcorn and shoved it into Lu Feng’s arms after the movie started. “Hold this.”

As a servant, Lu Feng had no choice but to hold it.

Lin Ran watched the movie while occasionally reaching into the bucket to grab popcorn.

Her fingers were slender, her movements casual, but every time she reached over, she would “accidentally” brush against the back of Lu Feng’s hand.

Once, twice, three times.

Lu Feng’s body gradually tensed up.

It felt as if a feather were lightly tickling the tip of his heart.

He really wanted to put the popcorn down, but he knew that if he dared, Lin Ran would immediately threaten him.

So he endured it, shifting his hand slightly lower.

Lin Ran didn’t touch him again.

Halfway through the movie, the aroma of popcorn lingered around his nose.

Lu Feng didn’t actually like sweet things, but after smelling it for so long, even the scents of butter and caramel began to seem somewhat enticing.

He hesitated for a moment, then reached into the bucket and picked up a piece, ready to put it into his mouth.

At that very instant—

A soft sensation suddenly brushed against his thigh.

Lu Feng froze, looking down.

He saw that Lin Ran’s hand had somehow found its way onto his leg and was slowly moving deeper—

“You…” He was so startled that the popcorn in his hand fell back into the bucket.

But Lin Ran acted as if nothing had happened. Her fingertips slid in, plucked a piece of popcorn from between his legs, and fed it into his mouth with a backhanded motion.

The entire movement flowed seamlessly, and she never once took her eyes off the screen ahead.

Her expression was indifferent, as if she were fully engrossed in the film.

The sweetness spread across Lu Feng’s tongue as he mechanically chewed the popcorn.

All his senses were now concentrated on his thigh.

That hand still hadn’t moved away!

Lu Feng’s entire face burned, though thankfully the dim lighting hid it.

What did Lin Ran mean by this?

What exactly was she trying to do?

Just as he couldn’t stop his mind from racing, the hand finally withdrew.

Lin Ran continued watching the movie as if nothing had happened.

In the darkness, Lin Ran’s lips curved almost imperceptibly.

The system had witnessed its host’s bold maneuver from start to finish.

That piece of popcorn had been secretly tossed there by her while the male lead was distracted.

If there was no opportunity, she would create one.

Truly daring and meticulous.

Seeing Lin Ran’s nonchalant demeanor, Lu Feng forced himself to calm down.

He tried to focus on the movie, but no matter how hard he stared at the screen, he couldn’t absorb anything.

His mind was a chaotic mess, replaying the scene from earlier—

Her sliding palm, slender fingers, and the cool, careless way she had fed him.

He knew it was all a deliberate ploy to provoke him.

“Feeling shy?”

She suddenly leaned in, her lips almost brushing against his ear.

“No,” Lu Feng replied coldly.

“Stubborn.” Lin Ran chuckled softly, her voice like a hook. “Then I order you now—hold me in your arms while we watch the movie. Guess—”

Her gaze flickered backward.

“Will your little fish sister behind us go crazy?”

Lu Feng stiffened.

Even without turning around, he could clearly feel the scorching gaze from behind.

Lin Ran intended to humiliate him right in front of Su Wanyu.

Just like when she had toyed with him in the equipment closet before.

Back then, it had been covert. Now, it was out in the open.

This was the convenience that came with the “servant” identity.

Lu Feng’s eyes darkened as he buried the trembling thrill deep within, his gaze now filled with icy disdain.

Seeing the shadow in his eyes, Lin Ran was pleased with his reaction.

“Don’t worry.”

She pulled back, her tone tinged with faint mockery. “I have no interest in forcing you to do such things.”

With that, she made no further moves.

Lin Ran wasn’t afraid of Lu Feng’s inner resistance.

The harder he resisted, the greater the force of his eventual collapse.

She enjoyed watching him struggle in the trap.

Did he think he could resist her taming?

Little did he know—underestimating her was the beginning of his suffering.

From the moment Lin Ran’s hand landed on Lu Feng’s thigh, Su Wanyu, sitting in the back row, had seen it all.

Her nails dug into her palms, almost drawing blood.

Du Hao noticed her distress and whispered, “What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?”

“It’s nothing,” Su Wanyu forced herself to sound calm. “Let’s just watch the movie.”

But despite her words, she couldn’t focus at all.

Jealousy gnawed at her heart like a venomous snake, making it hard to breathe.

Finally, the movie ended.

The lights came on, and the crowd began to disperse.

Lu Feng stood up almost immediately, eager to escape the enclosed space.

Lin Ran suddenly grabbed his hand.

“What’s the hurry?”

Leaning back in her seat, she tidied her clothes unhurriedly. “Let’s wait until the crowd thins out.”

The hand she held twitched slightly, but Lu Feng remained standing.
