5 Second Master Personally Ties the Bow for the Young Girl
The black car sped swiftly along the road.
Ling Qing Ruan felt extremely anxious. If her mother found out about this, would she break her legs?
“Don’t be afraid. I’m here.”
Si Zhanhan enveloped Ling Qing Ruan’s soft, small hand with his large one. His deep voice carried a sense of security.
Ling Qing Ruan looked up and met Si Zhanhan’s pitch-black, unfathomable eyes. Sitting beside him, she felt entirely warm.
The bow at the collar of Ling Qing Ruan’s dress seemed to have come undone. She fumbled with both hands to retie it but couldn’t manage after several attempts.
Si Zhanhan chuckled softly. It was the first time he had seen such a clumsy girl. With his slender fingers, he personally tied a pink bow for her.
Ling Qing Ruan lifted her pretty face. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.”
Si Zhanhan gently touched the girl’s pink, tender cheek. This girl was pink all over.
“Why hasn’t Ling Qing Ruan sent the money yet? After working outside for a month, she only sent a few thousand back home. That’s not even enough for one trip to the beauty salon.”
A woman’s sharp, harsh voice rang out.
“Mom, she’s so dumb. How could she possibly earn that much money? Expecting her to is like expecting a pig to climb a tree.” Ling Hua complained about his sister while playing on the computer.
Ling’s Mother wore a gloomy expression. “She’s utterly useless. If she can’t earn ten thousand, she doesn’t need to come home. If it weren’t for her tuition being fully waived, I wouldn’t even let her go to college. She should just focus on earning money for us.”
Ling Qing Shuang spoke up, “Mom, Brother, how can you talk about Sister like that? Even though she’s a bit slow, she’s still part of our family.”
“Shuang Shuang, you’re too soft-hearted. That good-for-nothing Ling Qing Ruan—in a few years, I’ll marry her off. Preferably to someone rich, no matter how old he is. That way, we can even prepare a dowry for you, Shuang Shuang.”
Ling Qing Shuang smiled brightly. “Thank you, Mom. You’re so good to me.”
Truthfully, she didn’t quite understand it either. They were both biological daughters, so why did their mother treat her and Ling Qing Ruan so differently? Perhaps it was because Ling Qing Ruan was too slow-witted, and no one in the family liked her.
Just then, the sound of a car horn came from outside.
“Ling Hua, go see who’s here.”
“Mom, why don’t you go? I’m in the middle of a game. I don’t have time.”
“Games, games—is that all you know? You didn’t even get into a decent university, and you still have the nerve to play games.”
Ling’s Mother grumbled as she stood up and went outside. A luxury car was parked in the yard, and she excitedly walked over.
The car door opened, and a man stepped out. Dressed in a tailored suit, he was tall and imposing. His cold, handsome face was exquisitely sculpted, with sharp features and a perfect jawline, as if he had stepped out of Greek mythology.
Ling Qing Shuang came out of the living room and caught sight of Si Zhanhan. She was mesmerized, unable to look away. Among all the boyfriends she had dated, not one could compare to the man before her.
Ling’s Mother was also astonished. Could this be Shuang Shuang’s boyfriend? He was incredibly handsome and clearly wealthy.
This time, she had really found a boyfriend who was both good-looking and rich. Not bad, not bad.
Si Zhanhan opened the other car door and helped Ling Qing Ruan out. The girl wore a custom-made white dress, her delicate demeanor exuding fragility. Her slightly curled long hair cascaded down her back, and she wore a crystal hair accessory on her head.
Ling’s Mother almost didn’t recognize her—was this really her cheap daughter Ling Qing Ruan??
Was this Ling Qing Ruan?
But it wasn’t entirely Ling Qing Ruan’s fault. Every day, she wore the shabbiest clothes, and all the money she saved from part-time jobs was taken by her mother. She didn’t even have enough to buy herself a decent outfit.
A flicker of disappointment crossed Ling’s Mother’s face. Could this loser really have a boyfriend? How could she possibly land someone so handsome and wealthy?
“Ruan Ruan, who is this…”
Si Zhanhan replied politely, “I’m Ruan Ruan’s boyfriend. I’m here to discuss our marriage.”
Ling’s Mother was momentarily stunned. Boyfriend? When did this worthless girl get a boyfriend? And discussing marriage…
“Ruan Ruan, you’re back! Your sister has been so worried about you these past few days, afraid you weren’t eating or sleeping well. When did you get a boyfriend? How come I didn’t know?”
Ling Qing Shuang walked over and took Ling Qing Ruan’s arm, deliberately moving closer to Si Zhanhan. Si Zhanhan frowned and subtly stepped back.
This was the first time Ling Qing Ruan had received any concern from her sister, but she didn’t really need it anymore.
“Sister, he… is my boyfriend. We just met,” Ling Qing Ruan introduced softly.
“Hello, I’m Ling Qing Shuang, Ling Qing Ruan’s sister.”
Ling Qing Shuang greeted Si Zhanhan enthusiastically, but he didn’t even glance her way.
The late August sun was blazing, and the air carried a hint of oppressive heat.
Ling Qing Ruan’s forehead was beaded with a thin layer of sweat from the heat.
“Are you hot?”
Ling’s Mother immediately chimed in, “Ruan Ruan, it’s a bit warm outside. Let’s go inside.”
Ling Qing Ruan followed closely beside Si Zhanhan and whispered, “My sister and mother have never cared about me like this before.”
“Is that so?” A cold glint flashed in Si Zhanhan’s eyes.
“Please, have a seat. I still don’t know your name. What kind of tea would you like?” Ling’s Mother warmly entertained Si Zhanhan.
“Fu… Fu Yuan.”
Si Zhanhan casually gave a false name. Ling Qing Ruan stared at him in confusion—hadn’t he said his name was Si Zhanhan? Why did he suddenly change it?
“Fu Yuan…” Ling Qing Shuang silently committed the name to memory.
A man like this was only worthy of her. Ling Qing Ruan knew nothing—not even how to please a man.
Ling’s Mother fell silent for a moment. She hadn’t heard of this name before. He must be some businessman with a bit of money.
Perfect. This was her chance to sell off Ling Qing Ruan for a hefty sum—enough to marry off her son and provide a dowry for her daughter.
“Xiao Yuan, you mentioned earlier about marrying Ruan Ruan. She’s my most beloved daughter, you know. She’s only eighteen this year, and I’m reluctant to let her go.”
Si Zhanhan nodded faintly, seeing right through Ling’s Mother’s act. He had witnessed too many performances like this.
“Mm, I’m serious. Just say what you want.”
“Say it outright… Well, since you insist. We’ve raised Ruan Ruan for almost twenty years. She’s been frail since childhood and needed a lot of medicine, which cost us a fortune. I want this amount,” she held up five fingers, clearly asking for five million, “plus a villa.”
She was brazenly asking for five million and a luxury villa—a blatant rip-off. But since this man had money, he should be able to afford it.
