But immediately after she opened her eyes in the Guide room, the tiredness was gone.
Jane handed her a cup of water after seeing that she was back.
Chloe came forward.
“Guide Hazel, h-how is he?” she asked, worry evident in her tone as she glanced at the still-sleeping Clide.
Though his face was already rosy, and from his brows she could tell that he was sleeping peacefully, she could not help but ask.
After taking a sip of water, Hazel replied, “He is fine.
He should wake up soon.”
After saying this, she left the room with Jane following right behind her.
Upon opening the door, the person she met was Simon.
Ever since the bonfire party, he had not seen Hazel.
There were times when he would think of her, but with the arrival of people from the capital to check and assess the area where the previous contamination zone had been, he had been busy.
So, even though he thought of her, he had not been able to see her.
“I heard that Guides need to ensure their safety during mental guidance,” were the first words Simon said to her.
“How are you?
And what about Clide?” he asked.
The other team members who were also there glanced at Hazel.
“He is fine and just needs to sleep.
I am okay too.”
“That’s great news,” a member of the team replied.
Knowing that Hazel had just given guidance to someone, they all let her be after that.
“Did you really have to say that?
Where could possibly be safer than the Guide room?” the snake argued with Simon in the Spirit Domain.
“You, this stinky and selfish man, always wanting to have Hazel to yourself,” it added, still angry that Simon had not let it come out to meet Hazel.
The words “wanting Hazel for yourself” made Simon’s heart tremble a little, but he dismissed them.
“Wanting her for myself?
You had better stop saying nonsense.”
“Act as if I am not telling the truth,” the snake replied, rolling its eyes at Simon.
A while later, she returned to the Guide room to check on Clide.
The men standing in the corridor were gone, probably so they would not disturb Clide’s sleep.
Jane was already there with Chloe.
Seeing Hazel, they both smiled at her while she nodded at them and went back to take a seat.
Her cup of water was still where she had left it.
Feeling thirsty, she took a gulp of water.
By the second gulp of water she took, Clide woke up.
His wife rushed to hug him almost immediately, with teary eyes.
He patted her back, trying to calm her emotions down.
Probably realizing that Jane and Hazel were still present, she pushed Clide slightly to stop the hug.
Afterward, she lowered her head, not daring to look at Hazel or Jane’s faces.
Seeing this, Clide chuckled.
“Guide Hazel, thank you so much,” he began.
Then his shy wife also said the same with heavy gratitude.
“You are welcome.”
“Guide Hazel, honestly, you are so different from the other Guides, most especially those from the capital.”
“Really?
How different?” she asked, feeling amused by his serious expression.
There really was no one like Guide Hazel.
At one point in his life, he had gone for guidance.
Even before going for guidance, one had to check if the Guide’s mood was good.
If the Guide was comfortable, you had to ensure that the Guide was in the best state before you could even receive guidance.
Not to mention the expensive fee he had to pay half a year’s salary just to receive guidance.
And even when he did get guidance, his injured spirit body was made to do more than half of the work in clearing his Spirit Domain.
Even halfway through the guidance, the Guide stopped, claiming she was very tired.
He could remember how he had cursed and vowed never to return to that Guide station again in his life.
But here, even before his Spirit Domain corruption increased significantly, they had announced that they would give guidance at the price of just 2,000 star credits.
Guide Hazel was just the best.
And even after receiving guidance from you, the result is not the same.”
His Spirit Domain had never felt this light and free before.
Even his spirit body was in its best state.
He really could not thank Guide Hazel enough.
Hearing this, Hazel smiled but said nothing.
While clearing his Spirit Domain, she had found a lot of old domain contamination that seemed to have accumulated over time.
He was just lucky that it was her who had given him guidance.
If it had been another Guide, they might not have completely cleared the recent domain contamination.
Not to mention the previous ones.
He might have suffered a mental breakdown a month after receiving guidance.
But she had cleared it all, so that would not be happening.
Clide stayed for a while before leaving with his wife.
It was only when they were leaving that Hazel realized Simon was still around.
She had noticed that giving mental guidance made her spirit power grow, though it was just negligible growth compared to eliminating a contamination source.
Still, it was an addition, so she was planning to give Simon another guidance session.
But remembering how she had acted after the party, she felt a little embarrassed about talking to him alone.
Still, she spoke with him after they left.
“I want to give you mental guidance again.”
Simon was shocked to hear this, while his spirit body hissed in excitement.
“Yay!!”
“There is no need for that.
My domain corruption value is still okay,” ignoring his excited spirit body, Simon refused.
Almost immediately, his spirit body deflated.
Hazel felt a tiny tinge of regret at his refusal.
Even her tendrils were sad because of it.
“I really want to see Snaky.
He promised the other night to show you Snaky.
Such a bad man who likes lying.”
