Hazel’s hands curled up a bit.
She had also missed the white snake.
“Seeing that we just left a contamination zone, I thought your spirit domain may have been contaminated.”
Simon nodded, but he couldn’t help thinking about the last time she gave him guidance; the numbing feeling and the shivers.
He had been remembering that recently at night.
He had never felt that way with any guide before, and he could not understand why it was happening with Hazel.
His spirit domain was too private.
He did not know why, but he was so sure that something unspeakable might happen if he received another guidance from Hazel.
While all this was going on in his head, he responded, “If the corruption value increases, I will inform you.”
“Okay,” she replied, then turned to leave.
The white snake in the spirit domain lowered its head, feeling sad.
Simon felt a tinge of regret as she left.
Maybe he should have allowed her to give him guidance.
With a sigh, he also left.
Since she had noticed hidden contamination from the previous guidance session Clide had received, as well as the slight growth in her mental power after giving him guidance, even though it was only a minute increase, Hazel decided to give the rest of the team guidance as well.
Immediately after making her decision, she went ahead and told Jane to inform them.
The next day, that was what she did throughout the day.
But after the guidance session, she fell into a deep sleep.
She only woke up when it was evening.
All this was not without result.
After giving the team guidance, her mental power increased significantly, though there were not really any changes in the tendrils’ physical body.
She could feel the increase in her mental power.
While Hazel benefited from the session, the Sentinels she gave guidance to benefited even more.
It had been years since most of them had received guidance.
Everyone just used purification potions to lower their contamination levels, but thanks to Hazel’s guidance, their spirit bodies, which they never knew had been in such a weakened state, became lively again.
Each one of them slept for a long time after the session.
Everyone had sweet dreams.
So, the next morning, they all rushed to the Guide Building after that wonderful sleep to thank Hazel, only to find that she was not there.
When Jane woke up that morning, the group of men was the first set of people she saw upon getting to the ground floor.
She was a little bit frightened, but she still asked, “How may I help you?”
“We came to see Guide Hazel,” Ryan replied.
“Oh, let me go get her,” Jane said with a smile.
Then she hurried back to the top floor, only to receive no response after knocking on Hazel’s door.
Seeing that it was closed, she figured Hazel might not be around.
So, she went to report to the men downstairs.
“She is not around.”
“Do you know where we can find her exactly?”
“No, not really, but you could ask her if you have her contact information.”
“We don’t have it,” they replied, most of them regretting that they had not asked for her contact information.
“I could help you ask her then,” Jane offered.
Almost immediately, they all smiled.
“That would be wonderful.”
Then they finally got her location.
She was at the training center.
After thanking Jane once again, they all rushed to the training center.
Hazel sat on a bench with sweat on her forehead, breathing heavily after just running a twenty-kilometer race.
Ever since coming to the Eastern Region, she had not been exercising, and she had noticed that this had affected her in the contamination zone.
So, she planned to continue exercising from now on, wanting to get back to the state she was in during her previous life.
She sat on the bench to drink some water when the men all arrived at the training center.
“Guide Hazel, we have been looking for you,” Louis said upon seeing her.
“We came to say thank you for yesterday’s guidance,” Ryan continued.
Almost immediately after, the six-person group bowed to Hazel.
“Guide Hazel, thank you!!!”
This was the highest degree of sincerity in the Empire. You are reading on novelping.com, the official source.
The people here were so straightforward.
If they liked something, they did, and if they didn’t, they didn’t.
And when they were grateful, it was in its most sincere form.
Seeing this, Hazel could not describe how she felt, so she could only reply humbly, “You’re welcome.
It’s the least I could do.”
After this, they were finally able to see her current state.
“Guide Hazel, are you training your physical body?” someone asked with surprise.
After all, it was not every day that you would see a Guide exercising.
Their mental and spirit bodies were what mattered most.
Guides took pride in their ability to soothe domain contamination, and some even viewed Sentinels as idiots with a lot of disdain.
But Hazel was really the oddball.
She neither had disdain for them nor looked down on them.
Instead, here she was, exercising.
Since she nodded and replied, “Yes,” they were all surprised.
But thinking of how powerful Hazel was, they all felt it was a good thing.
Currently, all members of the team were in agreement that whatever Guide Hazel did was good and suited her well.
Since she was such a powerful existence in their view, they believed she could do whatever she wanted.
“Are you up for sparring?
We could spar with you if you don’t mind,” Louis suggested.
The rest glanced at him, wondering why he did not know how to read the room.
She was just a Guide, after all.
Would she really be able to spar with battle-hardened Sentinels who had spent most of their lives fighting in contamination zones?
But her reply came as a shock to them.
“Of course.
I would love that.”
‘She agreed?’.
