“She agreed?”

They all thought she was still playing around, but they did not underestimate her.

After all, from the first day they met her, she had already shown them what she was capable of.Full novel: Wait, I’m only an F-class guide? — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

She had taken down a group of bandits all by herself.

Louis volunteered himself, while the rest went to sit down, leaving the stage to the two of them.

“Don’t worry, Guide Hazel.

I won’t use my spirit body in this fight.”

Hazel nodded.

Ryan came forward to explain the rules.

“So, the rules are simple.

Whoever touches the other person’s neck four times with the marker in their hands wins.

And no spirit bodies are allowed once the fight has begun.”

Both of them nodded to show that they understood.

By now, Hazel’s flushed face had returned to normal, and her uneven breathing had already steadied.

Then she took a fighting stance.

“Fight!” Clide announced.

The first blow landed on Hazel despite how certain she had been that she would dodge it.

She had controlled her body with precision, but it was still a second too slow.

By the second attack, Louis already had his marker against her neck as she tumbled to the floor.

Hazel became more determined after the fall.

So, when she stood up again, she continued.

This time, she adjusted her fighting style to match her body’s speed.

After all, fighting was something she had been doing for most of her life in her previous life.

So, although some of her movements were clumsy at first, she later got the hang of things.

At the beginning of the fight, the rest of the team was sure Louis would win.

After all, he had been the first to place his marker against Hazel’s neck.

But later on, they did not even realize when it happened.

The crowd was once again shocked by Hazel’s prowess.

Before they knew it, she had marked Louis three times on his neck.

Clide’s mouth hung open in shock at how quickly the fight had progressed.

It was only after someone tapped him that he finally announced that the fight had ended.

Louis could not understand why the person who had been so clumsy at the beginning of the fight seemed to become more proficient as it continued.

Her speed and even her techniques became more diverse.

He tried to decipher Hazel’s fighting style, but she did not repeat any of her previous moves before she won.

He gladly accepted his defeat, while the rest of the team members came forward to praise Hazel.

Hazel left the training platform covered in sweat, her muscles filled with pain.

As she walked forward to sit down, her body trembled so much, yet she continued walking until she finally sat down.

Every part of her body ached seriously, but Hazel found it exciting.

She could finally control her body to her satisfaction.

Besides, the way she was currently feeling reminded her of how her body had always felt in her previous life until she became a master at fighting and handling weapons.

All these tremors did not go unnoticed.

Louis, who noticed them, came forward to give her some water while asking,

“Guide Hazel, are you okay?”

Hazel nodded.

Then she twisted the bottle cap and downed the water in a few gulps.

Louis did not know what to say after her reply.

Hazel’s physical strength was not really that good, yet she had stood her ground while fighting him.

Her techniques were no different from those of battle-hardened Sentinels who had constantly fought for their lives in contamination zones.

He could still remember their spar.

Whenever he thought he had figured her out, she would change to another style until he became defensive, trying only to defend against her attacks.

Yet, she had still managed to place the final marker against his neck.

If she was a Sentinel…

His heart trembled slightly as he thought of it.

She would really have no enemies in a contamination zone.

Hazel sat for a while.

When she felt the tremors had reduced, she bid the rest of the team goodbye.

Her body ached seriously, yet she walked as if there was no pain with every step she took.

She had just left the training center when Simon appeared, seemingly just arriving at the station.

“Here.”

He handed her a green vial that she had not noticed he was holding.

She glanced at his hands before moving her gaze toward his face, trying to understand why he was giving her the vial.

Noticing her questioning gaze, he cleared his throat.

“Ehem… It’s a pain reliever.”

After saying that, he pushed it into her hands before going straight into the training center.

Hazel glanced at him as he hurried toward the training center.

She then stared at the vial in her hands, not knowing what to think.

She opened the vial and downed the entire content before throwing it into the recycling bin not far from her.

A warm feeling spread through her limbs and muscles, reducing the aches to nothing.

Then she headed toward the Guide Building.

Simon had been at the training center since the beginning of Hazel’s spar with Louis.

After the fight, he had noticed how she clenched her teeth when she wanted to go and take a seat.

He knew that she was in pain, so he had rushed back home to get a vial, hurrying back so he could meet her at the center before she left.

Fortunately for him, he did meet her at the front of the station, and he handed her the vial.

After giving Hazel the pain reliever, he rushed into the training center while feeling her gaze on his back.

His heartbeat increased with every step he took.

After leaving her sight, he stopped and touched his chest.

“Am I really sick?”
