Ginny Jarvis then said, “You’re Mason Ryder, right?

Is your online handle a period?”

“How…

how do you know that?”

“Don’t be nervous.

I’m from the Kane Group.

Here, take a look, this is your winning notification.

I’ll take you to the designated hotel now.

Your activities won’t be scheduled until after twelve tomorrow afternoon.”

Hearing this, Mason slightly lowered his guard.

“You don’t need to take me.

I can go by myself.”

“It’s fine.

I’m the person in charge of your activities this time, and I happen to be heading to the hotel to hand over some matters anyway.”

Since Ginny put it that way, Mason said nothing more.

The user with the online handle “Fixed Type” was a security guard.

He currently worked at the largest villa complex in Sheridan, spending his days standing guard at the gate with shifts changing every two hours.

He had been on break when he saw the message.

As soon as he realized he had won the prize, he immediately went to his supervisor to ask for time off.

After getting his leave approved, he headed straight for the hotel Ginny had sent him.

Therefore, by the time Ginny brought Mason to the hotel, he had already arrived.

After checking in, Ginny led Mason upstairs.

“Let’s go.

The other winner is already in his room.

You can meet him in a bit.

There’s also one more arriving on a flight tomorrow morning.”

Ginny checked the room numbers as they walked.

“905, 906…

Here’s 912.

The other person is in 913.

Do you want to meet him later, or right now?”

“Right now.”

After Mason replied, Ginny went to knock on the door.

“Hello, is this Clark Chandler?

I’m from the Kane Group.

Is it convenient for you to open the door?”

Inside the room, Clark was standing by the window, admiring the beautiful view of the city center.

After all, this was his first time in a place like this in his entire life.

Filled with joy, he couldn’t stop looking around.

Just as he was marveling at his incredible stroke of luck, he heard the knock on the door.

Hearing that it was someone from the Kane Group, he hurried over to open it, looking at Ginny and Mason with a beaming smile.

“Hello, hello!

Ah am…

pfft, no, I mean, I am Clark Chandler, hehe.” Clark let out an honest, good-natured laugh.

Looking at Ginny, he couldn’t help but feel that she looked somewhat familiar, so he stole a few extra glances.

He muttered to himself that although he wasn’t good at studying, he had an absolute knack for remembering faces.

He was certain he had seen this girl before, but he just couldn’t place where.

“Hello, my name is Ginny Jarvis.

This is Mason Ryder, a fellow prize winner like yourself.

I’ll leave you two to get acquainted.

The hotel will provide breakfast and lunch tomorrow, and a tour guide will come to pick you up in the afternoon.”

“Okay, okay!

Go ahead with your work, Miss Kane.

Goodbye.”

In contrast to Clark’s enthusiasm, Mason simply said two words, “Good bye.”

Knowing that Mason hadn’t yet recovered from his emotional episode that afternoon, Ginny didn’t say much else.

She waved with a smile and left.

In her past life, she had never interacted with Clark even once, so she had no idea what his personality or appearance had been like.

She had only accidentally overheard others mentioning that Clark, an uneducated security guard, had somehow become the top ranker in the Power system.

It was solely based on these two pieces of information that Ginny had managed to find him.

After Ginny left, the slight awkwardness Clark felt vanished.

On the contrary, Mason became even more uncomfortable.

“Hehe, brother, wanna come in and sit for a bit?”

“N-no need.” With that, Mason turned and retreated to his own room.

Watching the opposite door shut with a BANG, Clark muttered to himself, “Uh, did I talk too much and scare him?

Sigh, I always tell myself to hold back a bit.

This mouth of mine, ugh.” He lightly slapped his own mouth before closing his door to continue admiring the scenery.

Across the hall, as soon as Mason returned to his room, he hurriedly hung two coat hangers on the door handle and the security chain, and balanced a glass cup on the handle.

Only then did he heave a sigh of relief.

He sat down on a chair and surveyed the entire room.

“Mom, this is my first time staying in such a nice room.

I’m sorry, Mom, that I couldn’t give you a good life.

Mom, I miss you.”

Two trails of hot tears streamed from Mason’s eyes as he spoke.

Any nineteen-year-old boy would have broken down after experiencing all that.

After crying, Mason wiped his tears, freshened up, and went to rest.

Having not rested properly for many days, Mason slept straight through until past eight o’clock the next morning.

Clark came knocking on his door to ask if he wanted to get breakfast together.

“No thanks, you go ahead.

I haven’t washed up yet.”

Clark was truly warm-hearted and straightforwardly replied, “It’s fine, I’ll wait for you!

Just knock on my door when you’re ready!” After calling that out loudly, he returned to his room.

Mason took continuous deep breaths to calm his emotions.

He told himself, “It’s okay, it’s okay.

He’s not a bad person.

I’m not afraid.

There are plenty of hotel staff around.

It’s fine, it’s fine.”

At the Cromwell airport, the father and daughter of the Sinclair Family were both very nervous about taking a plane for their first time.

Fortunately, because David Sinclair had a disability in his legs, they were guided by the staff.

Otherwise, they would have been completely lost and unable to find anything.

Ginny had originally wanted to build good relationships with these future big shots, but alas, there was simply too much final prep work to do.

She had no choice but to hire a tour guide to show them around.

After all, tomorrow night at midnight was the absolute deadline.

Around four o’clock in the afternoon, Caleb Grant called to say that the transport time was scheduled for exactly eleven o’clock on the night of the 10th.

He told them they didn’t need to worry about anything; just keep their mouths shut and he would arrange the rest.

As for the hacker from before, the person had been found and would be arriving in Breven on an eleven o’clock flight that night.

After taking inventory of the items in the cold storage, they saw that it was about time, so the two drove to the airport.

The hacker was named Timmy.

At first, they all thought it was a nickname or some sort of alias.

The private investigator couldn’t find him for the longest time.

It wasn’t until they directly searched for the name Timmy Thorne that they discovered there was actually someone with the surname Thorne.

At the time, Ginny could only feel that she lacked worldly experience.

The two held up a sign with the name “Timmy Thorne” written on it and waited at the exit.

Since Sean had only seen a photo and hadn’t memorized what the guy looked like, he just held up the sign while continuing to review the supplies list.

After all, with only one day left, they still needed to get everything organized as quickly as possible.

Ginny watched the passengers coming out of the station one by one, but she still didn’t see the person she had met a few times in her past life.

It wasn’t until half an hour later that a loud SMACK startled Sean so much that the sign in his hands dropped right to the ground.

Ginny turned her head and saw a red-haired Timmy.

In an instant, she felt like she couldn’t process this reality.

The handsome, suave, and muscular Timmy from her past life was actually a…

uh…

delinquent teenager before the apocalypse?

“You’re Timmy?” Sean asked the young man in front of him suspiciously.

“Yep!

How is it?

My newly dyed hair—pretty handsome, right?

Haha, don’t fall for me now, haha.”

The siblings exchanged a glance.

Ginny helplessly used her eyes to tell her brother that this was indeed the guy.

Sean swallowed hard before saying, “Uh, Mr…

Mr.

Thorne, this way.

Our car is in the underground parking lot.”

“You can just call me Timmy, or Mr.

Thorne if we’re tight.

But being called Mr.

Thorne like some stuffy businessman sounds way too awful.” After saying that, he looked at Ginny with stars in his eyes.

“Hello there, pretty lady!

I’m Timmy.

How should I address you?

My fairy goddess?”

Looking at Timmy acting like this, Ginny could only feel imaginary dark lines dropping down her face.

She had known for a long time that this guy wasn’t very reliable, but this pre-apocalyptic version of him was just way too flaky.

Ginny seriously doubted whether bringing him in was the right decision.

Forget it, he was already here.

“Hehe, just call me Ginny Jarvis.

Let’s go.” With that, she headed in the direction of the parking lot.

Along the way, Timmy kept looking for opportunities to talk to Ginny, but Sean blocked every single one of them.

Sean felt that this guy was clearly unreliable at first glance.

He had to keep a close eye on him and absolutely couldn’t let him get near his sister.
