The heavy bathroom door closed silently behind her, sealing off everything outside.
Guilliman stood alone in the center of the palatial bathroom.
Looking around, even with the knowledge of Macragge’s luxury from Guilliman’s memories, she couldn’t help but gasp.
The bathroom was incredibly spacious, with floors and walls paved in warm white marble with natural textures, inlaid with gold and lapis lazuli decorative lines.
The dome was an exquisite mosaic mural depicting the patron deities of Macragge and olive branch patterns.
On one side of the room was a huge arched viewing window, currently set to a soft, translucent mode, reflecting the hazy greenery of the courtyard outside.
In the center was a sunken circular bath, large enough to accommodate several Space Marines having a water fight.
The water was clear, steaming with warm mist that carried a delicate fragrance.
By the pool were various bathing supplies, contained in exquisite glass and jade vessels.
“Is this the treatment for a Primarch…
No, this must be just one of Guilliman’s private bathrooms, right?” Guilliman whispered to herself, the part of her that was Lin Chen still feeling shocked by this level of luxury.
She walked to the edge of the pool and looked at the golden figure reflected in the water.
It was time to remove the armor.
The locking mechanism of the power armor was still easy to operate for a Primarch.
She took a deep breath and, following the method in Guilliman’s memories, triggered the specific rune sequence on the inside of the breastplate.
A slight mechanical hum sounded.
The heavy blue shoulder pads unlocked, lifted, and folded backward first.
Then came the breastplate, sliding open along the precise seams to both sides, revealing the black skin-tight combat suit underneath.
Leg armor, arm armor, greaves…
each heavy piece of armor was unlocked in turn and carefully removed, placed on the pre-prepared stand covered with soft velvet nearby.
When the last piece of leg armor was removed, Guilliman was left with only the skin-tight black fiber combat suit.
She moved her shoulders, feeling much lighter.
This combat suit was also clearly custom-made; although tight, it had excellent elasticity, perfectly outlining the girl’s slender and well-proportioned body curves.
Hesitating for a moment, she finally unfastened the suit’s buckles.
The black fabric slid down her skin and piled up at her feet.
The calm surface of the pool clearly reflected her body.
Her skin was so fair it was almost dazzling, like the finest alabaster, yet it carried a living, warm luster, as if it would break at the slightest touch.
Her figure was slender and exquisite, her waist slim enough to be encircled by a hand, and her legs were straight and long.
Every line was smooth and soft, full of the unique, budding charm of a young girl.
Her long golden hair draped down her back like a waterfall, the tips gently brushing against her firm, perky buttocks.
Guilliman’s face flushed rapidly, turning red to the tips of her ears.
Although she was male in consciousness, facing such a body that belonged entirely to a female, and was beautiful to the point of being unreal, the visual and psychological impact was still incredibly intense.
“Don’t look, don’t look…
No, wait, this is my own body…” She covered her burning face with her hands, and the halo above her head popped out with a “poof” due to her emotional fluctuation, flickering with light.
“Calm down, Lin Chen.
You are Guilliman now, this body is you.
Take a bath, just a normal bath…” After taking a few deep breaths, she tried to make her gaze “academic” and “objective,” quickly checking her body.
Very good, the original scars of Guilliman seemed to have disappeared with the transformation, her skin smooth and flawless.
The sense of power was still there; she could feel the energy contained in her muscles that far exceeded that of an ordinary person, though the output form might be more restrained.
“Whatever, let’s take a bath first.” She shook her head and carefully extended one foot to test the water temperature.
It was just right.
So, she slowly stepped into the pool, the warm water instantly wrapping around her entire body, the comfort making her let out a satisfied sigh.
The pool water seemed to have been infused with some kind of soothing natural fragrance and tiny flower petals, the scent light and pleasant.
She found a shallow step by the edge of the pool and sat down, letting the warm water submerge her shoulders, leaving only her head and collarbone exposed.
Her long golden hair spread out on the surface of the water like a blooming flower of light.
The ten thousand years of being sealed, the chaos and unease brought by the transmigration, all seemed to slowly melt and peel away in this warm embrace.
She scooped up a handful of water and poured it over her face, feeling the sensation of the water sliding over her skin.
“Huu…” She closed her eyes, leaned against the smooth marble of the pool, and completely relaxed.
Without realizing it, a melody emerged in her heart.
It was a memory belonging to Lin Chen, a gentle and soothing pop song from 21st-century Earth.
Subconsciously, she began to hum softly with that soft, clear voice.
There were no lyrics, just a simple hum.
But under the excellent acoustic structure of the bathroom, and the enhanced timbre of this body that she hadn’t even noticed, the humming was ethereal and melodious, like the tinkling of a clear spring in a mountain stream, or a breeze brushing against wind chimes.
It was pure, without a trace of impurity, carrying a kind of magic that cleansed the soul.
She was immersed in this rare tranquility and relaxation, humming the familiar tune from her memory, as if temporarily forgetting the strife of the galaxy, the threat of Chaos, and her own absurd situation.
Outside the bathroom door, the corridor had been completely cleared.
Six fully armed members of the Ultramarines Honour Guard, standing like blue steel statues, were lined up in two rows, standing at attention on both sides of the corridor.
They held Bolters, power swords hung at their waists, their tactical helmets facing outward, their postures vigilant as if guarding the most precious treasure of the Empire.
In reality, in their hearts, that was indeed the case.
Although separated by the thick, soundproof door, the hearing of a Space Marine was incredibly keen.
The faint sound of water splashing, followed by the intermittent, ethereal, and soft humming, still scratched at their audio receivers like the softest feather.
Guard A (Internal communication channel, encrypted): “Did you hear that?” Guard B: “…Yes.” Guard A: “Is she…
singing?” Guard C: “It’s humming.
The voice…” Guard D: “…It’s beautiful.” A brief silence.
Guard E: “It feels like…
she’s in a good mood.” Guard F: “That’s good.
Mother has been…
very troubled since waking up.” The channel went silent again, with only the faint, soul-soothing humming as background noise.
