The conquest of Cybertron had ended.

Its cities burned.

Its people were dead.Full novel: Warhammer 40K: The Eternal Machine — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Its skies belonged entirely to the Thokt Dynasty.

Yet Mike knew the true value of Cybertron had never rested upon its armies or its surface civilizations.

The true heart of the planet lay far deeper.

Beneath the endless metallic layers.

Beneath the ancient cities.

Beneath even the oldest Cybertronian archives.

The Well of Sparks.

Mike descended alone into the planet’s deepest regions.

Ancient tunnels unfolded endlessly before him while dormant Cybertronian machinery flickered weakly against the darkness.

Rivers of dying energon flowed through enormous conduits like fading blood vessels inside a dying god.

The planet itself was starving.

Without the AllSpark, Cybertron had slowly decayed over millions of years.

Its spark production had weakened.

Its systems had failed.

Its civilization collapsed into endless war.

Now Mike intended to change that.

At the deepest chamber of the planetary core, he finally arrived.

The Well of Sparks.

An enormous cavern stretched before him, filled with dormant energon oceans and ancient mechanisms larger than cities themselves.

At its center rested an empty structure where the AllSpark had once remained before being launched into space ages ago.

Mike looked upon it silently.

Then he opened a dimensional gate.

The AllSpark emerged slowly from his pocket dimension.

The massive glowing cube floated above the chamber, radiating impossible energy, while ancient Cybertronian systems immediately began reactivating around it.

The moment the AllSpark sensed the Well

It moved on its own.

The cube descended slowly toward the planetary core.

Mike followed behind it.

Then the AllSpark touched Cybertron once more.

The planet awakened.

Cybertron shook violently as energon surged through ancient systems dormant for millions of years.

Entire continents lit up while dead cities reactivated beneath the surface.

Across orbiting Necron fleets, alarms activated instantly.

Massive energy spikes erupted from the planet.

The core ignited.

The Well of Sparks roared back to life.

And then

Mike began reshaping the world itself.

He extended both hands toward the planet’s living systems while trillions of nanites spread through Cybertron’s metallic crust like a planetary nervous system.

The AllSpark answered him.

The planet screamed.

Entire continents shifted violently as the metallic layers of Cybertron began restructuring themselves on a global scale.

Cities collapsed inward.

Mountains unfolded mechanically.

Oceans of liquid metal rose toward the skies.

Massive Necron glyphs emerged across Cybertron’s surface, glowing with emerald light large enough to be visible from orbit.

Gigantic weapons systems unfolded from beneath the crust while entire sections of the world shifted into armored battle formations.

Cybertron was no longer merely a planet.

It was becoming a war machine.

A planetary battleship.

Its final scale dwarfed comprehension itself.

By the time the transformation was completed, Cybertron rivaled the size of Jupiter through layered dimensional expansion technologies integrated directly into the planetary structure.

Entire moons now orbited it like defensive drones.

Gigantic anti-stellar cannons unfolded across its surface.

Among them rested one of Mike’s greatest creations

A colossal rust weapon capable of stripping enemy fleets apart at the molecular level across entire systems.

Within the core, star-devouring furnaces are activated.

Cybertron itself could now consume suns directly for energy.

The planet had become a living engine of conquest.

And Mike stood at its center.

The transformation of Cybertron marked only the beginning.

Using all the knowledge harvested from the Autobots, Decepticons, Sentinel Prime, Jetfire, Megatron, and the Fallen, Mike began reforging the entire dynasty.

The old Necron forms disappeared gradually.

New bodies emerged from the forges.

Bodies combining:

Necron necrodermis

Cybertronian transformium

AllSpark evolutionary coding

Prime-level spark architecture

Blackstone stabilization systems

Nanite adaptive intelligence

Entire legions evolved.

Warriors transformed their own bodies into weapons instantly during battle.

Destroyers gained flight systems rivaling starfighters.

Lychguards became towering execution constructs wrapped in anti-gravity armor.

Even the minds of the Necrons changed slightly.

The endless emptiness left behind by biotransference no longer felt quite as hollow.

Something stirred within them now.

Something closer to life.

Yet one final relic remained unfinished.

The Matrix of Leadership.

Using memories extracted from Optimus Prime and the Fallen, Mike finally located the hidden resting place of the Matrix beneath the ancient Prime sanctuaries.

But obtaining it required more than force.

The Matrix rejected the unworthy.

Those unrecognized by the Primes would watch it crumble into dust within their hands.

Mike understood the danger immediately.

So he adapted.

Inside a hidden forge chamber, Mike extracted the remaining energy signature of Optimus Prime from the preserved spark fragment taken during battle.

Then he integrated the signature into his own systems.

But enough to deceive the Matrix itself.

Mike entered the ancient chamber alone.

At its center rested the Matrix.

Golden.

Ancient.

Radiating faint living energy.

For the first time in millions of years, Mike felt something unusual as he approached it.

Resistance.

Not from machines.

But from the lingering wills of the Primes themselves.

He extended his hand slowly.

The Matrix reacted immediately.

Energy surged through the chamber while spectral traces of ancient Prime consciousnesses appeared briefly around him.

The Matrix scanned him.

Judged him.

Measured him against Optimus Prime’s signature.

Then

It accepted him.

The Matrix opened.

Mike’s eyes widened slightly as impossible amounts of knowledge flooded into his consciousness instantly.

The memories of the Primes.

Cybertronian creation history.

Spark science.

Transformation mathematics.

Dimensional engineering beyond even the Fallen’s understanding.

For several moments, the chamber itself distorted under the pressure of the information transfer.

Then silence returned.

Mike slowly closed his hand around the Matrix.

Success.

The upgrades that followed reshaped the dynasty forever.

The Matrix and the AllSpark were integrated beneath Cybertron’s core while their energies spread throughout the entire empire.

Every Necron body evolved again.

Every weapon improved.

Every fleet strengthened.

Entire new classes of warforms emerged from the forges daily.

Some could split into nanite storms.

Others transformed into orbital weapons platforms.

Some evolved self-replicating adaptive armor capable of consuming enemy technology during combat.

The dynasty no longer resembled the ancient Necrons of old.

They had become something far beyond them.

A race of immortal machine gods evolving endlessly through conquest and adaptation.

Mike stood at the center of Cybertron’s transformed core while countless fleets assembled beyond the planet.

His empire had already surpassed most civilizations from the Warhammer galaxy.

Even the Tyranids would struggle against what the dynasty was becoming.

Because, unlike the Tyranids

Mike’s empire did not merely consume.

It evolved with every victory.

And there were still countless universes left to conquer.
