The transformed world of Cybertron drifted silently through dimensional space.

Now, the size of Jupiter, through layered dimensional expansion technologies, the planet no longer resembled the dying mechanical world Mike had conquered.

Massive emerald glyphs burned across its armored surface while colossal weapons systems rotated slowly along the outer shell.Full novel: Warhammer 40K: The Eternal Machine — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Entire suns burned within its core.

Forge worlds orbited around it endlessly.

And within the deepest chambers of the planetary battleship, the AllSpark and the Matrix of Leadership pulsed together like twin artificial stars.

The dynasty had evolved beyond recognition.

Necron warriors now instinctively transform parts of their bodies during battle.

Their minds operated with greater flexibility while their adaptive nanites continuously evolved after every engagement.

Even the crypteks had begun experimenting with spark replication.

A dangerous field.

But one Mike permitted.

Because progress demanded risk.

Mike stood alone within the central command nexus, overlooking endless holographic projections of his growing empire.

Thousands of fleets.

Millions of warforms.

Harvested galaxies.

Conquered systems.

The power of the dynasty now rivaled ancient legends from the War in Heaven itself.

Yet Mike remained dissatisfied.

Because he understood one truth clearly

Power never remained absolute forever.

His thoughts drifted toward the Necron Dynasties left behind in the Warhammer universe.

The Silent King.

The Sautekh Dynasty.

The Mephrit Dynasty.

Countless phaerons are sleeping within their tomb worlds, awaiting eventual awakening.

Mike considered them carefully.

If he shared the technologies he had obtained

The AllSpark integration.

The spark evolution process.

The Cybertronian transformation systems.

The dimensional engineering.

For a moment

The idea tempted him.

The Necrons had once been his people.

His race.

And unlike most phaerons, Mike still remembered fragments of what it meant to care for the species’ future.

But the thought vanished quickly.

Because he also remembered another truth.

The dynasties followed the Silent King.

Not him.

If the other phaerons gained access to this level of power, then eventually they would unite beneath Szarekh once more.

And if they perceived Mike as a threat

They would turn against him instantly.

Even now, the Silent King likely wandered beyond the galaxy searching for solutions against the coming horrors of the universe.

Mike respected him.

But he did not trust him.

Trust was a weakness.

And immortals had endless time to betray one another.

Mike’s glowing optics dimmed slightly as calculations unfolded endlessly through his consciousness.

If war eventually erupted between himself and the other dynasties

Then arming them beforehand would be stupid.

No.

The technology of the dynasty would remain his alone.

At least for now.

A cryptek entered the chamber quietly.

“My phaeron, dimensional navigation systems remain stable.

The fleets await your command.”

Mike remained silent for several moments.

Then he spoke.

“The Warhammer galaxy is stagnant.”

The cryptek listened carefully.

“The Imperium decays.

The Tyranids consume without innovation.

Even the Necrons cling to ancient methods.”

He turned slowly toward the massive dimensional gateway forming beyond the chamber.

“There is little left for me to gain there at present.”

The cryptek bowed.

“Then we continue expansion elsewhere?”

“Yes.”

Mike’s voice echoed coldly through the chamber.

“There are countless universes containing technologies, energies, and sciences yet unknown to us.”

The gateway expanded further.

Reality itself bent around the growing dimensional fracture while entire fleets prepared for interuniversal transit.

Mike’s mind continued calculating endlessly.

He had mastered:

Necron science

C’tan energy manipulation

Blackstone engineering

Dark Age technology

Cybertronian evolution

Prime spark systems

AllSpark creation energies

Yet even that was not enough.

Because Mike no longer sought mere superiority.

He sought perfection.

A civilization incapable of collapse.

An immortal empire beyond entropy itself.

And somewhere across the infinite multiverse

More power awaited.

Mike stepped toward the dimensional gateway while trillions of nanites shifted across his massive armored frame.

Behind him, Cybertron’s transformed planetary shell activated its dimensional engines.

Entire fleets aligned for departure.

Another universe would soon fall beneath the march of the dynasty.

Another civilization would become fuel for evolution.

And Mike intended to continue ascending until even the gods themselves became obsolete.
