Lynn mentally prepared himself, took a deep breath, and then, bracing himself against the stone wall, slowly squeezed his way out of the hole.

He turned on the flashlight, held the light up high, and shone it on himself, as well as on the cultist supplies strapped all over his body, ensuring the cultists on the other side could see him clearly.

“…?” The cultists standing in the passage outside all froze in unison.Full novel: Warhammer: I Draw Traits in Warhammer, and the Emperor Stood Up? — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

They had never seen prey so bold as to actually venture out on his own.

Are ordinary people nowadays really this brave?

He actually looks like a good seedling to be a Champion of Khorne.

But what’s on his body— Isn’t that the leather armor loot from their storehouse?

Lynn took a deep breath and did one more thing that made the cultists completely lose their minds.

He took the backpack off his back, raised it above his head, and gave it a shake.

The foil bags of dry rations and protein blocks inside the backpack crinkled together with a soft rustle-rustle sound.

The cultists heard it loud and clear, their eyes slowly widening.

Lynn pulled a protein block from the bag, tore it open, took a bite, then slung the backpack back on and flashed the cultists a brilliant smile.

This guy was really asking for it.

He stole their things and still waved at them.

“Heyaa guys, the protein block tastes pretty good; got any more?” “…” The cultists outside heard his voice too and whipped their heads around in unison.

The dark red light fell on Lynn’s face, highlighting his grinning expression.

They clearly saw what was on Lynn’s body…

Their leather armor, their backpack, their supply bags, the dry ration packaging, and the protein block of theirs he had just taken a bite out of were all displayed on him.

With all their supplies stolen and this place far from any civilian planet, new supplies wouldn’t be delivered anytime soon.

Actually, aside from minor bosses and a few cultists who made a habit of carrying some supplies on them, the vast majority of cultists had run out of food long ago, and their stomachs were currently rumbling with hunger.

However long Lynn had been stealing their supplies was exactly how long they had been going hungry.

——Seeing Lynn now, their eyes were entirely bloodshot.

Those were their supplies!

The supplies were missing from their warehouse!

It was that damned thief who had robbed them for days, making them howl with rage, whom they had searched for days but couldn’t find——!!!!!

“It’s him——!!!” “That damned thief——!!!” “Catch him!!!

Kill him!!!

Gut him!!!” The dark red psychic light exploded in the cultists’ eyes.

Fury caused them to completely lose their sanity.

Their lips peeled back to reveal teeth blackened by blood, and like a swarm of hornets whose nest had been poked, they charged at Lynn.

Red light tumbled down the passage, and their screams shook the stone walls.

Lynn turned and ran.

The cultists were truly driven mad with rage.

Compared to Psykers and sacrifices, they actually cared more about their stomachs.

That thief who stole their supplies was actually parading his might and smiling right in front of them.

Provocation!

This was pure provocation!

The cultists locked their eyes onto the blinding ball of light in Lynn’s hand.

Every single cultist surged out of the caves, rounded the corners of the passages, and bounded out from the shadows.

One after another, like a dark red torrent, they all gave chase, pursuing Lynn deep into the passage.

…

Ten seconds later, Cecilia squeezed out of the cave.

There was no one in the passage.

The screams of the cultists echoed through the passage, growing more distant and blurred.

Lynn had drawn away every single pursuer, leaving an empty passage utterly devoid of cultists for Cecilia.

Cecilia stood in the passage, watching that retreating halo of mixed white and dark red light for two seconds.

Then, she turned resolutely and ran in the opposite direction, toward the exit on the other side of the Chaos cultist cave.

Only by finding reinforcements as quickly as possible could she come back and save Lynn.

For every second she hesitated, Lynn was in danger for an extra second.

For every time she looked back, Lynn’s survival time decreased.

Emperor above, swearing upon the honor of a Sister of Battle, she would definitely return; she would absolutely never break her oath.

…

** …

Lynn was afraid of being cornered in the Hive City by these mindless cultists, so he didn’t dare run back toward it.

He could only lead the cultists in circles through the underground passages.

Lord save him; he was running so hard his lungs were about to explode.

However, there was one advantage: when he was alone, he was extremely agile, able to turtle up in any random tiny corner he found.

Moreover, he could use Thirty Days freely, and any injuries would heal very quickly.

The rumbling footsteps of the cultist horde ground forward behind him.

The supply bags on his body were like a matador’s red cape, and the cultists were like a herd of red-eyed bulls—ignoring everything, disregarding everything, just single-mindedly chasing him.

Sob, sob, stop chasing me; I don’t have any cough syrup.

Lynn turned a corner, and he turned another corner.

He didn’t know where he had run to either; he was just single-mindedly running.

Other people’s transmigrations were earth-shattering, so why did his transmigration involve constantly being chased around by Chaos cultists?

The cultists cursed and swore behind him.

“Stop!

You can’t escape!” “Catch him!

I’m going to skin him alive!” “Thief!

Scum!

Heretic!” Hearing the word “heretic,” Lynn almost burst out laughing.

He’s a heretic?

Do these cultists really have the nerve to call someone else a heretic?

The passage grew narrower and lower.

Lynn suddenly slammed into a hanging stalactite, the pain making his vision go black.

Fortunately, three seconds later, it didn’t hurt anymore.

Motherf*cker!

Lynn swung his steel pipe back and smashed it directly against that large stalactite.

Crash, clatter, bang; the stalactite shattered and fell, ending up smashing a whole bunch of bumps onto the heads of the pursuing cultists.

Those cultists looked even angrier now.

Sob, sob, Big Sister was gone; now all he could do was run.

Lynn turned his head and continued running.

Left, right, left again, right again.

He was running in circles through the passages entirely on instinct and luck, trying to make the cultists dizzy and shake them off.

Thirty Days kept him from dying, but Thirty Days certainly didn’t keep him from getting tired.

Damn these cultists!

I just stole some of your food; is this really necessary?!

The cultists were still chasing; their stamina seemed boundless.

But it wasn’t truly boundless; it was just that their hatred for Lynn was too deep—so deep that they could ignore fatigue and hunger, focused solely on beating Lynn to death.

He ran a massive circle through the passages and returned to a place that looked familiar.

He wasn’t far from the cultist camp here.

The underground system on this side was a giant loop, with only one exit, which was right at that main cultist lair cave.

Now, that main lair was guarded by those psychic cultists.

Because the psychic cultists couldn’t keep up with the physical stamina of these brutes, they gave up halfway through the chase and returned to the cave to stand guard.

Lynn was practically shedding tears.

These cultists weren’t stupid either; couldn’t they give him just one opening?

A bunch of mad dogs!

You just wait!

Wait until my Big Sister comes back!

See how the Imperium judges you heretics!!!

Sob, sob.

Lynn kept running.

Sister said she would come back, so she definitely would.

All he needed to do now was preserve his life, not get caught, and wait for his Sister to return with reinforcements.
