Lynn ran the numbers in his head.

His super brain using super intelligence told him it was time to use his super cheat.

Having him act as bait was far more cost-effective than letting Cecilia get injured.Full novel: Warhammer: I Draw Traits in Warhammer, and the Emperor Stood Up? — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He had Thirty Days protecting his life, and any injuries would heal very quickly, whereas Cecilia possessed no such regenerative abilities.

As long as there were no accidents, the three of them could use this tactic to literally bleed this group of cultists dry.

No sooner said than done.

Lynn turned to Hammer.

“Hammer, do you know how to set traps?” Hammer’s eyes lit up.

He pulled a welding torch from his belt, then dug out a handful of wires, triggers, and a palm-sized metal box from the pockets of his robe.

“I do!

This is a Warp crystal trigger I dismantled from a cultist’s psychic weapon!

Connect it to an explosive charge, and when a cultist steps on the wire, the trigger goes——Boom!!!” Lynn gestured with his hands.

“How big of a boom?” “It is a boom big enough to blow up two or three cultists.

If we lure them into an enclosed space, the boom will be even bigger!!!” Fantastic!!!

They could also do some other things, some truly insidious things.

They could use things like bear traps, pitfalls, and stone spikes, or they could tie explosives to the stalactites on the ceiling and deliver justice from above as soon as they detonated.

A scheming bastard never admits defeat.

“Alright.” Lynn stood up, dusted off his leather armor, and began explaining the tactics to the Tech-Adept and Sister Big Sister.

“Quiet down, quiet down, listen to me for a second.

I’ve devised a tactic for us.

Our tactic moving forward is this: I will go draw the enemies’ attention.

Hammer will find a place to set traps.

I will lure the enemies into the traps, and then Sister Big Sister will jump out with a massive cleave to deliver justice from above upon them.” Cecilia looked at him, the light in her vertical pupils flickering, and said with great concern, “You will get hurt.” “It’s fine, Sister; you know my ability.

I recover quickly.

I managed to run for 15 straight days under their encirclement before; merely acting as bait is a paltry trick, not even worth mentioning.” Lynn flipped his bangs like Sakamoto-kun, acting smug.

(t/n: from the anime ‘Haven’t You Heard?

I’m Sakamoto’) What’s there to be afraid of taking a little damage and feeling a little pain?

Motherf*cker, he was going to throw down with these dumbass cultists; no one was getting out of this easily!!!

Cecilia didn’t say anything more.

She reached out, her metal gauntlet resting on Lynn’s shoulder and pressing down gently.

Lynn felt like she wasn’t treating him like a child anymore, but more like a new recruit.

Appreciation gleamed in Cecilia’s eyes.

“Do your best.” Hammer pulled the dataslate from his belt and started drawing a topographic map.

“This passage turns left out of the cultist camp and leads to a relatively wide cavern.

There are several stone pillars in the middle of the cavern that can be used for cover.

I can set some simple traps on the cavern floor, modified using the energy cells from the cultists’ psychic foci; they’ll explode when stepped on.” He looked at Lynn.

“Remember to avoid them when you run.” Lynn said, “I’ll try my best.” “Don’t ‘try your best’; you must!

I don’t want to become the guy who hurts my teammates!!!” Lynn said, “I definitely will.” The three of them spent another ten minutes or so going over the tactics again.

Hammer went to set the traps.

Cecilia hid behind the stone pillars in the cavern.

Lynn went to the cultist camp to lure.

He would pull them wave by wave and wouldn’t pull too many; about a dozen was best.

Once the mobs were pulled, Cecilia would handle melee, Hammer would provide support from a distance with his bolter, and Lynn would be responsible for running.

They would clear one wave, rest a bit, go pull the next wave, and fight again.

They would repeat this process until that group of cultists was entirely wiped out!

It was just like running a dungeon in a video game—an incredibly mature plan!

it’s all according to plan.

It was time to execute!

…

** …

Hammer went into the caves to set traps, laying wires on the ground.

He pulled the wire out from the metal box, laid it along the stone wall to the corner of the passage, and weighed it down with crushed rocks.

The metal box was tied to a stalactite on the ceiling, leaving only a thin copper wire exposed.

Hammer said sinisterly, “Lure them to this passage and make them step on this copper wire.

Then run, and don’t look back.” Kekeke.

“Alright,” Lynn echoed him ominously.

Kekeke.

Cecilia hid behind the largest stone pillar in the middle of the cavern.

Her power sword was already unsheathed, the blue electrical arcs on the blade crackling terrifyingly.

Her bolter hung at her waist, ready to be drawn at any moment.

Everything was ready; there was no problem!

…

Lynn stood at the entrance to the cultist camp, took a deep breath, and slapped his own cheeks.

Even though his leather armor was tattered and torn, his expression was highly punchable.

Lynn continued Kekeke-ing as he stepped into the dark red halo of the cultists.

The cultists were patrolling near the supplies; seeing him walk in, they froze.

?

???

Were their eyes playing tricks on them?

Had that little thief who ran away come back???

Countless pairs of eyes all locked onto Lynn.

The dark red light fell on Lynn’s face, illuminating his grinning smile.

“Hiiiii~~~” Lynn waved his hand like he was opening a concert.

“I’m back again~ Big brothers, did you miss me~?

I finished eating what I stole; have your new supplies been delivered yet~?” Kekeke.

The cultists exploded.

“It’s him again——!!!” “It’s that thief again——!!!” “He actually dared to come back!!!” “Kill him——!!!” The group of cultists on the outer perimeter charged out from every corner of the camp—there were about twenty or thirty of them, mostly burly mortals, with a few Psykers among them.

This number was just right.

Lynn turned and ran.

A group of cultists chased him into the passage.

The dark red light swayed madly, and their screams made Lynn’s ears ring.

Motherf*ckers, my Sister is gonna slaughter you all in a minute.

He ran straight ahead without looking back, running right into the passage where Hammer had set the traps.

The cultists followed him in.

Lynn heard the footsteps of the cultists behind him crunching on the gravel.

Buried under the gravel was a copper wire; the copper wire connected to a trigger, and the trigger connected to explosive charges.

And then came a click, the beautiful sound of a trigger being activated.

Kekeke.

“BOOM——!!!!!” There was a massive, muffled explosion.

The entire passage shook and trembled.

The shockwave surged from behind, pushing Lynn into stumbling two steps forward.

Crushed rocks and dust rained down from the ceiling, landing in his hair and on his shoulders.

The cultists’ screams turned into wails of agony.

The stalactites on the ceiling crashed down, their sharp tips acting like lethal weapons from above…

Ouch, it was tragic.

Lynn didn’t look back.

He kept running, only stopping when he reached the corner of the passage, leaning on his knees and panting heavily.

Cecilia lunged past him.

Her silver power armor was like a bolt of lightning in the darkness!

Her power sword was already unsheathed, the blue light on the blade sweeping toward those cultists who weren’t dead yet.

She charged into the smoke of the explosion.

The power sword sliced through the air, and every swoosh was accompanied by a cultist’s scream.

It was like slicing melons and chopping vegetables.

Inside the smoke, those cultists couldn’t see anything clearly and had no way of mounting an effective defense.

Ten seconds later, Cecilia walked out of the smoke.

A speck of blood had splashed onto her silver power armor.

Her vertical pupils gleamed golden in the dark, and the blade of her power sword was as bright as snow.

“All dealt with,” Sister Big Sister said.

The first batch of pursuing cultists had all fallen; it was flawless mob farming.

Hammer gave Lynn a thumbs up.

It was awesome.

it’s all according to plan.
