## Watching Yu-Gi-Oh!
Shorts, the Old-school Duelists Have a Meltdown!
# Chapter 11: Multi-Archetype HERO Explosion!
The HERO Players are Crying!
The transition from a Destiny HERO search to a Masked HERO move was already proving that mixing archetypes wasn’t as simple as it seemed!
However, the audience wasn’t yet convinced that this “hodgepodge” would actually be powerful based on that one move alone.
The real reason their perspective was about to shift was the second combo demonstration from the uploader, Noble Toxic Hero Player!
Noble Toxic Hero Player: “Combo 1 was a ‘struggle’ line. It’s what you do to maintain a floor after your main plays get interrupted.”
Noble Toxic Hero Player: “Next, let’s look at Combo 2—the ideal line with no bricks and no interruptions!”
Noble Toxic Hero Player: “I guarantee that after watching this, your opinion will definitely change.”
As the words faded, a second expansion play began on the dueling screen, accompanied by the uploader’s commentary.
“If you have [Elemental HERO Stratos] in your opening hand, don’t overthink it. Just Normal Summon Stratos.”
“Then, we activate Stratos’s effect.”
“When this card is Normal or Special Summoned, you can choose between two effects!”
“The first is board destruction. The more HERO monsters you have on the field, the more cards you can pop. It’s great for clearing the backrow.”
“The second effect is to add one ‘HERO’ monster from your Deck to your hand. Note the phrasing: any ‘HERO’!”
“We search for [Vision HERO Faris]. If you already have him in hand, search for something else.”
“Next, we activate Faris’s effect. We can discard any HERO monster to Special Summon him.”
“Faris’s effect triggers, allowing us to take [Vision HERO Increase] from the Deck and place it face-up in the Spell & Trap Zone!”
“Then Increase’s effect triggers. By Tributing Faris, he leaps out of the Spell & Trap Zone, and then Special Summons [Vision HERO Vyon] from the Deck.”
“Vyon’s effect triggers. We send [Destiny HERO – Malicious] from the Deck to the Graveyard, and then search the Deck for the Spell Card [Polymerization].”
“Up to this point, these are the most Basic Maneuvers for a HERO deck. I assume every HERO player knows these, right?”
“If you don’t, you probably shouldn’t be playing HEROs.”
“…”
Silence.
A deathly silence.
It was every duelist across the various Dueling Worlds!
**DM World.**
Seto Kaiba was completely transfixed by this fluid sequence of moves.
He stood there, jaw dropped, utterly speechless.
Yugi Muto and Atem blinked in unison, their stunned expressions seemingly screaming: *What the hell did we just watch?!*
How were there already three HERO monsters standing on the field?!
How did the Graveyard get filled with so many materials so quickly?!
Joey Wheeler, while equally shocked, suddenly snapped to his senses.
“Isn’t this… isn’t this that ‘multi-archetype’ synergy?! No way! It actually works!”
…
**GX World.**
The HERO users, Jaden Yuki and Aster Phoenix, were practically in tears!
Yes!
The HERO players were genuinely about to cry!
*These are ‘Basic Maneuvers’?!
Every HERO player should know this?!*
No!
Then what were they?
What were their HERO decks?
You call this a basic operation?
*This* is basic?!
What even is an [Elemental HERO Stratos]?
What is a [Vision HERO Faris]?
What about [Vision HERO Increase]?
And what in the world is a [Vision HERO Vyon]?!
These cards were completely unheard of!
This was entirely beyond the comprehension of Jaden Yuki and Aster Phoenix!
“Are these really HEROs? You call this HERO? He pulled out three monsters in one breath?!”
“Wow! This looks even stronger than Jaden or the pro-duelist Aster Phoenix! I’ve never seen anything like it!” Find the original chapter at g.com.
“The way he’s cycling through multiple archetypes is terrifying! These few moves alone have already touched on Destiny HEROs, Vision HEROs, and Elemental HEROs! If he has Mask Change, he could even bring out Masked HEROs!”
“Damn! This is getting ridiculous! And this definitely isn’t the final board! He can still keep going!”
The crowd’s voices rose one after another.
Nearby, Alexis Rhodes, Zane Truesdale, Bastion Misawa, and Syrus Truesdale all looked at Jaden and Aster with strange, conflicted expressions.
Their stares made the two HERO users flush with embarrassment.
But there was nothing they could do!
Who could blame them?
They had never seen HERO plays like this in their lives!
…
**5D’s World.**
Seeing that this system didn’t require a Synchro Engine at all, Yusei Fudo, Jack Atlas, and Akiza Izinski fell silent.
In their world, the Synchro Engine was the mainstream.
For example, a Blue-Eyes deck having access to Spirit Dragon or Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon was respectable.
But these HEROs…
they didn’t need Synchro to achieve such an Explosive Combo.
They had to re-evaluate everything!
“There’s always a taller mountain, and there are always Decks beyond our imagination,” Yusei noted.
“The Decks from that world truly cannot be underestimated.”
“HEROs, huh?” Yusei looked over at Leo and Luna playfully.
“They seem like they might suit you two.”
The twins both shook their heads immediately.
“Forget it! I think our Decks are more fun,” Leo said, waving his hand dismissively while pouting.
In reality, his heart was pounding, but he was intimidated by the sheer complexity of the moves.
It looked way too hard!
And that was just the *Basic Maneuvers*?
How was anyone supposed to play against that?
