The Support Power of Xtra HEROs!

Yusei Fudo and the others naturally didn’t know what was going through Leo and Luna’s heads.

Back on the dueling screen, the three HERO monsters were already on the board as materials!

The next question was how to use these three HERO cards to summon a true ace!

Noble Toxic Hero Player: “Alright, now that we’ve seen the HERO Basic Maneuvers, the next step is the actual payoff.”

Noble Toxic Hero Player: “I trust that these next steps are moves etched into the very DNA of every player!”

“First, we activate the [Polymerization] searched by Vyon!”

“Fusion Summon using Stratos and any other HERO card in your hand.”

“If you fuse [Shadow Mist], you can search for [Mask Change]! If you use something else, it doesn’t really matter.”

“The focus here is what monster we’re bringing out!”

“Without a doubt, it’s [Elemental HERO Sunrise]!!!”

[Card Name: Elemental HERO Sunrise (Level 7)]

[Attribute: LIGHT]

[Type: Warrior/Fusion/Effect]

[ATK/DEF: 2500/1200]

“Now we can activate Sunrise’s effect to search the Deck for [Miracle Fusion]!”

“Not only that, Sunrise can boost the ATK of your monsters and provides a destruction effect! With these three effects, Sunrise is an absolute staple in any HERO deck.”

The uploader’s words once again plunged duelists across all worlds into a stunned silence.

*Sunrise?

Elemental HERO?*

What kind of Fusion Monster was this?!

Jaden Yuki immediately pulled out his deck and began frantically flipping through his cards!

He confirmed it instantly—there was no such thing as a “Sunrise” in his deck!

This was definitely a card that only existed in that other world!

“Sunrise? Such a powerful effect!” Jaden muttered to himself.

“He searches [Miracle Fusion] just for being summoned! And then… he can use that Miracle Fusion to fuse again! That’s just broken!”

Alexis Rhodes and the others nearby took on grave expressions. New chapters come out on g.com first.

Jaden was right; [Miracle Fusion] allowed for even more plays.

However, the video didn’t proceed with Miracle Fusion.

Instead, it moved on to a display of an entirely new summoning method!

That’s right!

Link!

It was time for a Link Summon!!!

In a flash of light, the Increase and Vyon on the field transformed into digital data, swirling into Link arrows to perform a Connection Summon!

Noble Toxic Hero Player: “Here we go! I have to Link Summon the HERO ace immediately!”

Noble Toxic Hero Player: “The monster coming out next is an essential Xtra HERO for our lineup.”

Noble Toxic Hero Player: “The one everyone loves… [Xtra HERO Cross Crusader]!!!”

[Card Name: Xtra HERO Cross Crusader (Link-2)]

[Attribute: DARK]

[Type: Warrior/Link/Effect]

[ATK: 1600]

[Link Arrows: [↙][↘]]

[Effect: 2 Warrior monsters. You can only use each of the following effects of ‘Xtra HERO Cross Crusader’ once per turn. You cannot Special Summon monsters the turn you activate either of this card’s effects, except ‘HERO’ monsters.]

[①: If this card is Link Summoned: You can target 1 ‘Destiny HERO’ monster in your GY; Special Summon it.]

[②: You can Tribute 1 ‘Destiny HERO’ monster; add 1 ‘HERO’ monster with a different name from your Deck to your hand.]

Following the uploader’s excited shout, the information for this brand-new Link Monster appeared before everyone’s eyes!

Xtra HERO!

Cross Crusader!!!

…

**DM World.**

Seeing yet another strange summoning method—and noticing this monster was placed in a mysterious, newly appeared extra zone—everyone was floored.

Seto Kaiba, Yugi Muto, the Pharaoh…

all of them stared wide-eyed at this so-called “Link Summoning” method!

Combining the animation of the play with the information on the Link Monster, they managed to indirectly grasp what a Link Summon was.

Essentially, you used two monsters that met the Link requirements as materials, sending them to the Graveyard to perform a Connection Summon!

Yes, it was that simple! This chapter is updated first at g.com.

But Link Monsters had no Levels!

They had no DEF!

They only had a Link Rating and Link Arrows!

All this sudden information left them completely baffled, even if they understood the basic mechanic of the summon.

*What do the arrows and the rating even represent?!*

…

**GX World.**

Jaden Yuki and Aster Phoenix nearly coughed up a lung.

Even though they had noticed the “Xtra HERO” name-string when looking at the decklist earlier, seeing it actually summoned felt like something out of a fairy tale!

“Wait… so that’s how an Xtra HERO hits the field?”

“I’m speechless. So that’s how you play it!”

“This Xtra HERO has some serious utility! It looks like a dedicated support summon!” Jaden couldn’t help but blurt out.

Beside him, Aster Phoenix’s usual professional composure had mostly evaporated.

“Jaden, this might be even more complex than we thought,” Aster said solemnly.

“I don’t know if you noticed, but all these powerful sub-archetype cards are tied together by a much broader name-string.”

“And that is: ‘HERO’.”

“Exactly. Stratos’s effect refers to ‘HEROs’. Vyon’s effect refers to ‘HEROs’. They aren’t restricted to just their own specific branch. Without those limitations, naturally…”

Aster didn’t finish his sentence.

There was no point.

This system was no longer the HERO deck they recognized.

This deck *was* HERO.

It could only be defined by the overarching HERO name-string!

“Mamma mia!” Professor Crowler exclaimed, looking on in shock.

“I never imagined so many different HERO archetypes could actually function as one family.”

“I don’t understand you boys at all,” Crowler added, a bit of a mischievous glint in his eye as he looked at Jaden and Aster.

“Now I’m starting to look forward to seeing Ancient Gears! Hehehe!”

As a professor, he was becoming intensely curious about how Ancient Gears were built and played in that advanced world!
