## Watching Yu-Gi-Oh!
Shorts, the Old-school Duelists Have a Meltdown!
# Chapter 9: HERO Short Video!
The Mixed Archetypes Confuse Everyone!
The “One-shot King”!
A card so ridiculously powerful it could deal with face-down cards and end games in a single stroke!
In the world of Duel Monsters, a massive wave of shock had already begun to swell!
Even Muto Yugi and Atem found themselves sinking into deep contemplation as they conversed.
The content displayed from this other world felt like a total “dimensional suppression” to them—a level of power that defied their current understanding of the game.
“My other self…” Yugi murmured.
“If Blue-Eyes White Dragon has become this strong, I wonder what happened to the Dark Magician.”
Yugi couldn’t help but feel a flicker of anticipation.
If the trend held, the Dark Magician’s future form would surely be just as overwhelming!
“Yes, Aibo,” Atem replied, his gaze sharp.
“But let’s not be in a hurry. It seems we don’t get to choose what we see. Haven’t you noticed? The changes in content… it’s as if a ‘God’s Hand’ is operating behind the scenes, constantly shifting the focus.”
Pharaoh Atem was the first to notice something was off.
He had observed several small adjustments while the Blue-Eyes video was playing.
Just as Atem predicted, once the five-minute Blue-Eyes showcase concluded, the video feed began to flicker and skip rapidly!
[Is this really how you play Blue-Eyes? Remember these combos!]
[What year is it? Are people still playing Traditional Blue-Eyes?]
[How to play Ritual Blue-Eyes? Watch this!]
The titles flashed by, seemingly out of control.
In reality, the “Big Data” algorithm was recommending related videos based on what had just been watched.
When Kaiba saw these titles being swiped away, he was stunned.
*Why is it skipping again?
Are we not going to continue with Blue-Eyes?!*

In the Main World, Yuuki Hoshi was starting to feel a bit drowsy after finishing the Blue-Eyes video.
This new app didn’t feel particularly unique to him; it was a lot like TikTok or Bilibili.
[Ding! Congratulations on watching a complete video!]
[Congratulations, Host, you have received a 1,000 yuan Red Envelope reward.]

A notification popped up in his background tasks.
Suddenly, Yuuki Hoshi wasn’t sleepy anymore!
“What the hell?! I get paid for this?!”
His eyes went wide.
Was this for real?
He swallowed hard.
Normally, he’d dismiss such a text as a scam, but he felt a strange compulsion to click it.
After a few quick taps…
A notification from his bank appeared: *Direct Deposit: 1,000.00 CNY.*
“No way! You’re for real?! I actually get money just for watching these short videos to the end?”
His excitement boiled over.
“Why am I even looking for a job? I’ll just scroll through videos! In a few years, I’ll just buy out Konami and make them print whatever cards I want! Hahaha! This is amazing!”
He imagined himself collecting all the Royal Rares and limited anniversary cards he could ever want.
After his momentary freak-out, Yuuki Hoshi dove back into the Master Duel app, scrolling frantically for the next video!
[The Right Way to Open HERO! I’m Super Polymerizing right now!]
As the video began, a deck construction screen for “HERO” appeared before the eyes of viewers across every world.
Naturally, the most explosive reaction came from the GX World.
“What kind of HEROes are these?” Jaden Yuki exclaimed, his eyes scanning the list.
“They’ve got everything! Wait, this is way too much!”
“Elemental HERO? Destiny HERO? Phantom HERO? Masked HERO? Evil HERO…?”
Jaden started rattling off his confusion.
“So many archetypes mashed together? Can they even work together?”
He stared at the colorful array of HERO cards, feeling a strange mix of familiarity and total confusion.
“Wait, are my Destiny HEROes in there too?” Aster Phoenix remarked, his brow furrowing.
“This person’s deck construction is a mess! Just as I thought—if you’re not a professional, you have no idea how to build a proper deck. A deck like this will be nothing but a ‘brick’ in your hand!”
As two masters of the HERO archetype voiced their disapproval, the surrounding students and teachers at Duel Academy followed suit.
In their mind, Elemental HEROes played with Elemental HEROes, and Destiny HEROes played with Destiny HEROes.
Mixing them all together?
It seemed like a recipe for disaster.

In the DM World, Kaiba was still savoring the afterglow of the Blue-Eyes video, but Joey Wheeler and the others had already shifted their attention to the HEROes.
“A HERO deck? What kind of HEROes are these?” Joey scratched his head.
“I’ve never even heard of them.”
Despite having been through countless tournaments, the concept of a “HERO” archetype was completely foreign to him.
“Joey, I think ‘HERO’ is just a general category,” Mai Valentine noted.
“Look, there are different name-strings within the system: Destiny, Elemental, Phantom, Masked… It looks like a real hodgepodge. I’d guess it’s probably not very strong. Unlike my Amazoness and Harpie Lady combo, this has too many conflicting pieces.”
Joey calmed down after hearing Mai’s analysis.
“Maybe. We’ll know for sure after we watch.”
