A few groaned, but they still stood up to get a copy of the things they needed back on their seats.
The classroom that they were using was currently wider than their normal classrooms, so the students have wider tables than usual where they could put all their books and other things so they don’t have to put it all in front of them.
While they were getting some of their books, a few students also continued talking to him.
“Mr. Arne, why weren’t you here yesterday? Did you also have your morning classes?”
“No, I didn’t have to come yesterday since I’m coming to help this Saturday.”
“Oh, then are you going to teach us instead of Mr. Randel?” Someone asked hopefully.
“Of course not. Mr. Randel would still be the one who’s going to teach you guys. I’ll only be assisting from the side. As long as you guys listen to him, you’ll certainly get high scores in the competition.”
Ren had been participating in various competitions since young, especially in sciences, so he’s certainly well-versed in the competition format and other things.
And with him preparing the materials that the students needed to review, as long as they listened well and read their reviewers, even if they couldn’t be the top, they’ll certainly still get high scores.
“Yes, we know, but Mr. Randel—” the student didn’t continue because they saw Ren coming, so they quickly greeted him and quieted down.
After Randel came in, he quickly started explaining the rules as of the completion as well as the topics that would be included per grade level.
Afterwards, he let the others review on their own while calling the students per grade-level in front of him so that he could focus on teaching them.
Ren also assigned him to handle the other students so he had no choice but to start tutoring the others starting from the freshmen students as Ren already started teaching the senior students.
Ren had already decided to teach different grade levels every 30 minutes so Eli had to follow his arrangement.
He glanced at the material that the students were holding and started teaching them based on the first topics that were in their reviewer.
After a while, they finally had their lunch break, but he had forgotten that it’s Saturday today so the school’s cafeteria is probably not open.
So while going back to Ren’s office carrying some worksheets of those students, Eli asked, “Hey, Ren, is the cafeteria open?”
“So, it’s really not open,” Eli sighed and then quickly said, “What food did you bring for lunch? Share some with me.”
Eli hadn’t seen Ren ordering food or eating in the cafeteria for the past week, so he was certainly bringing his own lunch.
“And why should I share it with you?”
“I’m already hungry, so I can’t wait for the delivery. You should have reminded me a while ago then I would have scheduled an order for my lunch,” Eli complained.
“You knew that it’s Saturday today, so if you hadn’t prepared your lunch you should have ordered earlier. Why do I need to remind you of such a simple thing?”
“I don’t care. You have to share your food with me. Come on, you’re still my fiancé, as a fiancé how could you not even take care of my food once in a while,” Eli said shamelessly.
Ren just stared at him and then finally said, “My lunch won’t be enough for us.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll order more food. Then we can eat it again when it comes.”
When they arrived at Ren’s office, he quickly got his phone and started browsing for the restaurants near the school.
“What restaurants have more delicious food here,” Eli said while showing the restaurants that popped up on his phone.
Ren mentioned two restaurants, so Eli immediately started looking at their food and choosing where to order, as he still trusts Ren’s tastes when it comes to food since he was even more particular than him when it comes to their tastes.
After ordering the foods he liked, he gave his phone to Ren to add what he wanted. This chapter is updated first at g.com.
Then he started opening the 3-layered lunch box that Ren brought out.
When he saw the grapes on the first layer, he quickly picked one for tasting then continued opening the other layers.
He saw roasted chicken, potatoes, and Greek salad.
Fortunately, the amount was still large so he could certainly make do with eating half of it.
“Do you have a nearby place to heat this up?” Eli asked.
“The main office for the science department is in the next building, if you want you can go there and heat it up.”
“Then, no need, let’s just eat it like this,” Eli said as he was too lazy to go to the next building just for microwaving, so he just started dividing the portion of the food from the two layers.
Fortunately, Ren had an extra set of cutlery, so Eli readily began eating just as Ren returned his phone after ordering their additional food.
Ren also didn’t care about him eating first as he was already used to it and just ate his own portion.
A few minutes after they finished eating, their order notification rang and their order was apparently received by the guard already.
“Hey, you should go and get our food,” Eli said.
“You’re the one who didn’t bring your lunch and just ate my lunch, so you should be the one getting your order.”
“No, I don’t want to go. I paid and both of us are going to eat it anyway,” Eli said.
Ren was about to say something when the door was knocked rapidly and then opened by Bran, one of the students in Ren’s class, who fearfully said, “Mr. Arne! Mr. Randel! I think my classmates want to eat me!”
