Sean was obviously relieved when he saw the call being received, but his hands began shaking when the voice on the other line began speaking, “Lenny, stay where you are. I’m certainly going to find you.”

The voice was very raspy, and it seemed that the man talking outside had a very hard time speaking, making his voice very eerie.

The voice continued, “Lenny, I’m going to find you. I’m going to find you!”Full novel: We Tried Dodging Our Marriage, Now We’re Solving Irregularities (BL) — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The voice became even more eerie and obsessive.

Sean was so frightened that he dropped the phone, but even though it was dropped, the voice still continued with its obsessive tone and eerie sound until the voice laughed creepily at the very end, “I’m going to find you! I’m going to find you! Haahaahehhehheh.”

After the voice laughed, Eli, who had continuously been observing, finally saw the call end.

“So, do you guys know any person named Lenny?” Eli asked as he continued observing the phone that Sean had dropped before picking it up.

The others didn’t speak at all, so they certainly didn’t know who Lenny was.

Sean and Bran also immediately moved away as soon as he picked up the phone.

“Why are you picking that phone up already?” Ren asked.

“Of course I have to pick it up, since I have to check it. As if you don’t want to check it yourself,” Eli said.

“I have to check it, but can’t you wait for some time to pass before picking it up? You’re still careless until now. What if something happens afterwards?” Ren said.

“Don’t worry, I’m the one who picked it up, so if something happens, it will happen to me,” Eli said while still holding the phone, and then tapped the screen on.

“That’s not the problem, Eli—”

Eli didn’t let Ren continue and quickly said, “Stop it, I know what you wanted to say.” Then he showed the phone to them, “Look at the time. The time on Sean’s phone is working again; however, the time here states that it’s already 6:41 pm.”

“The time on my phone hasn’t changed at all.”

Ren had quickly come over and looked at the difference in time between the two phones, and Sean and Bran, who had been afraid, became bolder and approached him again after seeing that he hadn’t changed or become possessed because of holding Sean’s phone that received a strange call.

“So, it changed because of the call that was answered by another person instead of the police?” Eli said, and then handed his phone to Ren, “Hold it for me, I’ll check Sean’s phone.”

Ren also readily accepted his phone, but still continued looking at Sean’s phone, which Eli was holding.

After handing his phone to Ren, Eli succeeded in opening Sean’s phone without any password or fingerprint lock.

So he looked at Sean, “You don’t have any password?”

“No, I certainly have one, and I often use fingerprint lock rather than using my password,” Sean confidently said.

Since Sean was confident, then it’s likely true, and almost no one in their generation would just use a phone that they don’t even lock.

Eli quickly opened the call logs and saw that instead of the number of the police, another number was registered, and it was also recorded that the number had called a lot of times but wasn’t answered at all.

There were also a lot of other numbers in the call logs with a lot of missed calls.

“Do you even recognize these numbers and calls?” Eli asked.

“No, I haven’t received such calls at all,” Sean denied and then said, “I-I don’t think that’s my phone anymore. It may look the same, but it’s certainly not my phone.”

“I think so too,” Eli said in agreement.

When he opened the messages, he saw that most of them were mostly from unknown numbers.

He quickly opened those messages to read them.

He quickly browsed through all the messages that were received from all the senders and said, “So, this phone is actually owned by a guy named Elmer, and his girlfriend Lenny had a lot of admirers, and some of those admirers were looking for Lenny from him and also threatening him to let them know where Lenny is and to break up with Lenny.”

“Yes, it seems that a lot of those admirers were violent, as they were sending a lot of threatening messages to the guy named Elmer. And based on the messages, they were all students in this school and most of them were their classmates or seniors,” Ren added.

“Wow, how did you guys read all those in just a few minutes?” Sean asked.

“Didn’t you see it? As long as you scroll it, of course you can read it,” Eli simply said.

“Wow, I didn’t even see anything while Mr. Randel and Mr. Arne were scrolling it,” Bran said.

“I know Eli is good, because I know that he would actually only take a short time to do our assignments, but I didn’t know you were so good. By the way, are you two close?” Sean said, then looked at Eli and Ren.

“Huh? Us?”

“Yes, Mr. Arne, are you actually friends with Mr. Randel?” Bran also asked.

“Of course not,” Eli quickly denied.

“But the two of you seemed to be close to each other. You two aren’t really friends?” Sean asked curiously.

Eli chuckled a bit and said, “You two seem to have forgotten to be afraid. Anyway, we aren’t friends; we just happened to be neighbors since childhood and saw each other a lot of times since our parents are friends.”

Eli didn’t bother hiding it anymore because the circumstances had suddenly changed, so he couldn’t continue pretending to be polite and obedient in front of Ren just like what he was regularly doing while he was at school, as it would just be disadvantageous to him.
